You build a 350 ton barge every two days that's more Sneed Shipbuilding Southwest Shipyard Bloodworth Barnes all combined hell when I was working at Sneed they were doing good to build a barge a month

You know in Hawaii our congressional team supports the Jones Act. Imagine where ships and barges would be made without the Jones Act.
I worked for trinity marine in the late 90’s where we built one every 24 hours
I worked for Eagle marine in the late 80s and we built one every 12 hours

Yeah the class if great for experienced people and inexperienced

I'm a welder in erections at Heartland, just pushed a barge out yesterday and will be ready to push another out in the morning. Very fast paced.
how long does it take to build a Hopper barge?
6-8 month
We do it in 2 days.
