Congratulation on your win that took me back when I was a kid. We use to dirt track race but I got older and into drag car and my cousin got sent to Saudi Arabia to fight in the Gulf War and that was the end of that.

back in my day a street stock was a factory body, DOT tires, HIE ignition with a cast iron two barrel intake and factory two barrel carb, and crappy cast iron exhaust manifolds, about the only thing you could do was make sure the wet sump pan was baffled to prevent oil starvation, and maybe cheat a little with cam specs.

We used Coppertone suntan lotion to release the mud from the car, while everyone else was using transmission fluid to shed the mud. OUR car wasn't tinted pink from the fluid and it SMELLED GREAT.
