Dj Screw was the creator of the Chopped and screwed style of music. Hence the name Chopped snd Screwed.

And just to STRAIGHTEN IT OUT Screw DID NOT process the music afterwards. He always did that mixing and chopping effect LIVE on the turntables. Its cross fader manipulation and having good timing. If you want more of an understanding watch one of my videos i uploaded a few tracks that are remixed by me on my channel where i actually do this type of style on different songs. You can see exactly what it is im doing because im doing it via android and using a screen capture. Pretty neat stuff. Love the video, keep jamming Screw! RIP Screwzoo. Screwed for life 🤘🏼

@@elbosque8677 yes dude thats exactly what he did he dropped pitch to match as he was blending and he hid it with scratches and distortion so you couldn't tell as it was changing. Hed match tempo and pitch with whatever song he decided to match and blend into next on his Screw tapes

His plays the previous song over the first lyrics of the next song and refocus the music to present song.

SUC was the core members that always rapped and hung out at Screw's house. Most are unfortunately gone. The hierarchy down here is: Screw, Fat Pat for player shyt, K-Rino (Reno) for lyrics n S.P.C., Z-RO, Lil Keke, ESG 'The everyday street gangsta', D.E.A at Wreckshop Records, Hawk, Pokey, Mr. 3-2 (who Snoop modeled himself after at first, his words), Mike D, KK & a few others I know I'm missing that actually rapped. And that's just part of the Southside of Houston not to mention Nawfside with Swishahouse.
