    Since some people have spoken about the greg chappel era...If you look at the cricketers like Raina, Pathan, Gatham Gambhir and likes they have all praised Greg Chappel in some way so clearly Greg was trying to end the star culture in Indian cricket that was prevalent at the time and favored the youngsters so many of these players didn't like that and conspired against Dravid and Greg for the defeat in 2007 world cup. Rahul was probably the most courageous to stand up to these cricketers and despite the pressure put on him at that time and later didn't give in and say that Greg was at fault even though that would be easy to do. He is class apart.

      drvid and courageous??
      joke of millenium. drvd is no1 gandoo player, person and captain.
      drvd king of dirty politics.
      entire cricket world knows, how drvd was bootlicker of Chappel.
      drvd most cunning, see controversies against him.
      its so transparent that 2007wc we lost so miserably, just bkj of drvd's thirdgrade gameplan, dirty politics and chappel's boolicking undoubtedly.
      small example,
      Drvd, Utthappa comes to bat before sewag, sachin, yuvi is it " batting order". so ridiculous.chutya drvd.

    I want to watch again the interview of Rahul Dravid, just post his retirement, probably he was wearing red shirt where he spoke at lengths about his journey all through. Spoke at lengths about his teammates. I don't remember which channel ten sports, ESPN or star sports. That video was here till few years back. I don't know why it's missing. I so very much want to watch that one. If anyone has an idea where is it. Please share the link for I can't find it.

    Rahul Dravid has been a great servant of our country and his name reverberates along with the great batsmen from India...but regarding Greg Chapell chapter ... how come 7 to 8 players in that team voiced opinion against the team culture .and consider that period to be one of the darkest period in Indian cricket along with match fixing period.....man management was a issue ......inspite of having a great team, 2007 was a disaster......

    • @romakashyap2119
      @romakashyap2119 2 года назад

      Clearly he was trying to eradicate the star culture at the time, so obviously they weren't happy. Also, they needed someone to put the blame on for the 2007 world cup failure instead of owning it up..

    Although I feel he was instrumental in Saurav Ganguly's removal as a captain and player , I respect the way he thinks and the services he provided as a defensive batsman .

    • @karanvij00
      @karanvij00 5 лет назад +4

      Ganguly was responsible for what has happened to him. Let me tell you the difference between Ganguly and Dravid:
      Ganguly went to media and cribbed when the things were not going his way. He was a crybaby.
      Dravid didn't do anything when he was dropped. He focused on his game and continued playing test cricket.
      The difference is in the "class". Ganguly is far behind Dravid in respect to class , dignity and dressing room code of conduct (what happens in the dressing room, stays in the dressing room)

    • @ranendrasaha8823
      @ranendrasaha8823 4 года назад

      But dravid is the most coward fellow. All his teammates spoke abt the reality of greg chappel including sachin, sehwag, laxman and every other player except him. He always licked chappel feet just for his captaincy
