Hello from Waupun, Wisconsin.....this reminds me of my Grandpa so much....he came from Germany to America in 1952.....he would always play polka and other kinds of Germa music in his woodworking shop on his farm...when I was a young kid, I didn't appreciate it....now years later I love it..it reminds me so much of my Grandpa...he will be gone 3 years in June.... Thank you, and pllay on!

I was married in 1978 at the ripe age of 22 and of German ancestry. As with any German gathering, my Uncle Oscar and distant cousin Bennie played "dueling accordions" while Cousin's wife Irene accompanied on piano. What a found truly amazing was how much the people my age (non Germans) LOVED hearing them play. The oldsters taught the youngsters how to dance the polka, most of them complete strangers to each other! People still rave about that wedding reception all these years later.

How RIGHT you are! Isn't it a shame MORE people don't listen to music, REAL music, to forget their troubles, get energized & feel happy about life? Hear the music & dance ( a partner isn't necessary. just twirl any way)a polka to chase the blues away.

They were some of the best people in the world, and their music taste reflects that. I get my music taste from my Oma, and it's a lot better than what any modern music has to offer.

Your Accordion Man Waltz took me way back. I received a child-size accordion for Christmas when I was eleven because I was a huge fan of Myron Floran. But being left-handed, I put it on backwards/upside-down (naturally). Quickly graduated to adult size. I enjoyed just playing for myself, but anytime relatives visited, I had a captive audience. I took three years of lessons, but unfortunately I never was a natural. It did teach me a lot about music though, which I’ll always be thankful for. You play beautifully. Thanks for sharing.

It is nice to hear this selection of music so well performed. It reminded me of a radio programme a long time back of an accordion band played by 'Primo Scala and his accordion band', which consisted of four accordions, piano, celeste and banjo. To my amazement a Google search presented me with the very band with some 1956 half-hour recordings. Mixing your selections and those programmes makes the days fly by. Thanks for your efforts

Maybe it’s just me but I love the words that people who aren’t from the US use in their sentences since they always include words that you don’t see in normal conversations I don’t know why but I just love it so much.
