It really helps to put a ton of fences around and crafted furniture. I got my 3 stars in no time just by casually decorating around and planning out yards for every villager ^^
just putting it out there, if u wanted to start a play through of New Leaf, I would totally be down for that. and I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one. New Horizons is the only AC game I've ever played and I've heard a lot of new leaf hype from those who have played it. I think it would be really fun.
