For example, when you control Sonic you are slow as hell compared to the cut scenes / movie / animation. He can run 767 miles per hour. So yeah, you defiantly aren't running that fast when you are playing as him. This example is universal to many games like Smash Bros, God of War, Star Wars whatever it maybe. You really thinking Krillin can beat Super Saiyan Blue Goku like in Dragon Ball FighterZ OR Piranha Plant beat Ganon in a real fight compared to Smash Bros.

This video hurts my eyes. Death battle, again, used non-canon sources and facts pulled out of their ass so their favorite character wins. Now look, I do like Luigi better than Tails, but that isn't a reason to call me biased. Luigi is not weak, he lifted a castle effortlessly, busted metal, and most likely can punch through a planet. He has survived being on the sun and an entire black hole and supernova. There is a large chance that Luigi is faster because he outran a black hole in space. He is also very intelligent, but while Tails is smarter, he isn't a big strategist. He only uses his intelligence for building and repairing. He has much more attacks than only his smash moves, thunder hand and his hammer. The animation was cool and all until the death, because Luigi easily tanked getting crushed by a godly hammer and getting hit by gods. If you don't agree, I can just block you because I don't feel like debating.

My one real complaint is the strength thing. I've seen Luigi easily lift things much heavier than that radish, and they only took the word of one game to confirm that Tails can SLOWLY DRAG a 10 ton weight. Also keep in mind that he was using a gadget which could have improved his ability to do so.

Dude I stopped listening to Death Battle when they totally bullshit Superman Versus Goku with that dumb Golden Age Superman scam. They didn't even take into consideration that it took superman years to acquire that energy. and that Goku isn't that stupid. That Goku has done FTL and can freaking spam IT (Instant Transmission) and that moving planets has nothing to do when you are in the middle of a fight. They never took into consideration that the strength of a SSJ one Kame Hame Ha can blow up Earth and that he can traverse half of Namek in a second. While I am a huge fan of luigi, I gotta agree that he isnt all that bright.Luigi also isnt that great of a strategist in battle. I was hoping luigi would win but I expected tails to come out on top. A huge reason of to why Tails won this death battle, is because he used Strategy against fighting. Luigi is there to be a sidekick, to fight along Mario. Tails is a flying fox cub who, first off, CAN FLY. He has an IQ of 300, as he uses that to make all the stuff he's made over 25+ years. Yes, tails also fights, but he fights with gadgets. And uses his knowledge against egg man. I already knew that Tails had it the first time I had seen this.
Lets be honest. If they did this battle today, all Luigi would have to do is the Death Stare from Mario Kart 8. Tails would just explode in plain sight the moment he made eye contact.
The fact alone that the Mario characters die much easier than the Sonic characters proves that wrong. If Tails had just 1 ring, Luigi wouldn't be able to kill him with anything. Yet Luigi can be instantly killed by anything. Simply touching an enemy would kill him.
If Luigi has a power up, he can't be killed in one hit. And why are we talking about this? Rings and mushrooms weren't included in this battle, so why argue about IF they were.

There are a number of videos here on RUclips that have the "Luigi wins *insert Mario Party game* by doing absolutely nothing" thing in its title. Never thought that'd come in as one of Luigi's achievements.
He's even Killed 3 level 50 Sonic Amiibos at once by doing absolutely nothing! Now, I'm no expert on what's considered "Canon" in the Smash games, but if the Kid Icarus and Kirby Franchises treat it as actual events that happened in their timelines, I'd say we are safe to say that Luigi could kill anything at this point.
Ok, after a few days and seeing everyone's complaints, I think I have the answers for most of the problems people have with this, so here we go. 1. First off, the animation's for entertainment purposes only, any nitpick that "Luigi should've killed Tails here" can be countered, but complaints regarding that will be implemented into this list. Besides, Tails could've killed Luigi when he used the flash grenade. 2. "Tails is scared of lightning and Luigi has lightning powers, Luigi wins!" Having a fear of lightning and seeing someone with electric powers isn't a guaranteed win. Luigi is scared of A LOT of things yet he's able to conquer them, same can be applied with Tails. Besides, in the opening of Rush Adventure, Tails had no problem with the lightning storm he and Sonic were going through. 3. "Luigi's Negative Zone didn't do anything!" It made Tails trip and made him slower, 2 effects. 4. "No-one can escape the Negative Zone, it should have devastated Tails!" Actually it's easy to get out. Even if I get the sleeping effect or dizzy at first, I'm able to escape because Luigi spends the first half dancing so I'm able to get out before he gets me. You can also avoid effects with a shield roll or b up move. Tails has a shield and his flying may as well be Pit's wings of Palutena. You need brains and speed to escape the Negative Zone, and Tails has both. Also his rhythm badge does help keep his balance. 5. "Luigi didn't have as much items in this fight while Tails got a lot!" Mario vs Sonic proved that standard power ups countered each other, so there's no point in using them again. Luigi doesn't have as much in his unique arsenal as much as Tails because Nintendo didn't give him too much to differentiate from Mario, while Tails is an inventor so he uses more items than Sonic. 6. "They didn't make Tails tired with his flight and he went higher than usual!" They did make him tired once when Luigi used the flower, and Tails has proven to fly for longer periods of time and higher heights than the some games portray it. 7. "That magic hand was rigged!" You want a different killing move? Fine. Tails cuts off Luigi's head with a high speed tails slash, a regular one can cut metal so imagine what one at high speeds can do. 8. "Luigi has elemental medals in the poltergust, why weren't they used?" Does Luigi or Tails have a torch, sink, or freezer with them? That's why. 9. "Mr. L and Brobot!" Mr. L is Luigi brainwashed, and building a mechanical robot is a Mr. L feat, not Luigi. That's like if the Zelda vs Peach DB was Shadow Queen Peach vs Ganon Possessed Zelda. All of these characters require someone controlling them, AKA Outside Help. 10. "Both Mario Bros lost to Sonic characters, Screwattack's staff are Sonic fanboys!" Try comparing the amount of Mario videos on this channel to Sonic videos. Plus favoritism is taken out of DB. If they used favoritism, Batman, Chun-Li, Haggar and Goku would've won their battles.

It would also be prudent to remark that statistical capability in reference to strengths and weaknesses are ultimately what win a Death Battle, not relying on a game-breaking special move, further debunking those screaming about the Negative Zone. Also, about number 7, I actually wish the animator had done that instead, because while I agree with the outcome, that final blow did seem rather anti-climatic, phoned-in, and half-assed.

Plus, they let Luigi use his negative zone, something exclusive to one non-canon crossover game and I don't see anyone complaining about that. These versions were complete composites.

ya know, i honestly liked these videos, they were my favorite thing for a long time. I have always loved thought experiments and fictional fights, but honestly the community is ruining it for me. While you guys do have a great research team and think things through, there are occasionally things that are misrepresented or left out all together, which is perfectly fine, you guys are human after all (except boom-sticks ex-wife). The videos are still entertaining and I can still like them, but the fact that every video has turned into a shouting match and not a thoughtful discussion is really annoying to me. I know airing these issues on a four year old video isn't going to make a difference to the recent community, but I have been re-watching these to see why I don't like them as much and this is why. I hope that the community treats you guys better in the future, because you put in a whole lot of effort into these videos, and while not perfect they do deserve a lot more then the nerd rage (from both sides) that they are getting.

tails41yoshi but tails cant use the chaos emeralds or super emeralds. you may argue he was able to use them in the final boss fight for sonic heroes, but thats only because super sonic gave him some of his power. Luigi shouldve gotten the invincibility star at least.
These fights are so stupid. You can not compare the Sonic universe to the Mario universe. Anyone in the Sonic universe is so damn powerful it is unreal. Like outrunning black holes, distorting time and space, teleportation, and destroying planets. Mind you this is all canon. While Mario canon is something that dose not even compare in the slightest.

The whole "Tails can move 10 tons" is actually a funny detail that the developers of his game put just for humor, Luigi in the other hand can easily jump two times his height, the actual strength that human will need to do that is massive. The most realistic outcome would have being Luigi killing off Tails in one single blow.

Luigi also outswam a black hole, which is more impressive than tails outrunning it with a hoverboard. However theres a slight chance tails can keep up, his top speed is 1246 km/h, but again this is nowhere near luigi's top speed. I've been hearing the negative zone isnt canon, it is canon, i know it represents the sub-worlds in smb2 and it was a dream but in dr. mario you can see an item somewhere in the game that slightly resembles the sub-world bottles, but mario is a doctor and luigi is a doctor so they'd probably know the ingredients. The NZ will effect tails, tails only advantage is if he puts on his rhythm badge on ground, and flys. Luigi has the advantage since hes faster, stronger, more durable, op arsenals, and the NZ. Tails gadgets arent that much of a help against a powerhouse like luigi, even if tails sends down a bunch a bombs, this wont do much, luigi's been in a universal explosion. Intelligience - Tails is smarter, here are some impressive iq feats Tails did 1. Built a tv out of paper clips 2. Reprogrammed a super computer with detergent and toothpick 3. Built many planes and combat mechs. 4. Invented a ping pong ball shaped atomic bomb The Marioverse shows that majority of the characters have great iq, for luigi hes actually pretty smart, here are some impressive feats i know. 1. Can do tons of sports without training professionally 2. Created combat machines 3. Solved many hard questions with in some secs (based on the player however) 4. Drove cars, motorcycles, planes etc. as a baby. Technically tails is smarter in logic and tactics, but luigi has smarter combat exp. Luigi has been fighting as a baby till now. Luigi has better battle smarts. Luigi is faster, tails has fought enemies faster than him but not completely faster. But Tails wins this one. Unique Items - Luigi - Vanish Flower - Makes luigi temporaly invisible for 25 secs Hammer - Can crush steel, boulders, robot, etc. Thunderhand - Can control bodies, make metal balls go at high speeds, all of that shit Poltergust 5000 - can suck up almost anything, element medals - fire, water, ice. Healing Mushroom - Heals luigi at maximum. Tails - Bombs - all bombs shaped like mouses, foxes (WAIT.......what does the fox----nevermind) highly explosive, yep. Medi-bot - Heals tails like a pro Shield-bot - protects tails Rhythm badge - makes tails not dizzy It comes to this, Tails has more, but luigi has stronger arsenals, Luigi would dodge almost all of them (he dodged lasers, lightning, beams, etc. there slow and predictable for gamplays reasons), both can steal each others arsenals, however a powerhouse like luigi, most of tails gadgets arent gonna make luigi die, he can handle it, same for tails, hes been in a black hole, so he can survive a hit from a hammer. However since they kinda counter, lets say its a tie for now. Advantages/Disadvantages - i havent explained all of the categories so lets add some in here Tails Advantages - 1. Smarter, however they have similar iqs 2. Useful gadgets, luigi would destroy them or wont do much 3. More tactics, it doesnt matter if luigi has more superior combat exp. 4. similar skills, luigi still has more 5. Tails can dodge luigi's attacks, not all the time. 6. Negative zone, Tails could escape if he uses his rhythm badge on the ground and flies luigi's disadvantages 1. less tactics, however luigi has more combat exp. 2. can be dizzed by the flash bang grenade, he would be careful 3. worse traction, but there wont be any bottomless pits in the battlefield 4. clumsy, however he doesnt show it in battle so lets exclude this 5. unable to fly, he has powerups that would make him fly but where talking about if we excluded that. Luigi wins almost all except intelligience or he and tails neither gets unique items. Luigi has better strength, speed, durability, and experience. Luigi has more advantages than disadvantages, while tails, he has less advantages and more disadvantages. Pivotmon mon Luigi didn't tank the black hole. Rosalina and the Lumas saved him from it. He did tank the Supernova, but it was weaker than the Black Hole that Tails tanked, and Luigi was knocked out for several hours straight. Tails didn't even FLINCH from entering the Black Hole. Also, Tails IS faster. The laws of physics do not apply accurately to the Paper Mario universe.
Yeah no, the only advantages that Tails has over Luigi are: Speed (as Super Tails) Agility (as Super Tails) Intelligence Other than that, Luigi *destroys* Tails in every category, Tails would have to turn Super to even stand a chance against our favourite Italian sidekick. Luigi was able to stand his own against Dreamy Bowser, can scale to Mario who defeated Culex, both feats were done by base form characters, whereas Tails' best base form feat was comparing to Ultimate Emerl who was Galaxy level compared to Luigi's Multiversal feats. Even Super Tails' best feat was defeating the Phantom King and Egg Reverie, both of whom were Low-Multiversal, still pales in comparison to Luigi. Power-Ups? Luigi has hundreds of them to use, he can simply put on the White Tanooki (Which makes him completely invincible to weaker opponents) and defeat Tails that way. Combat experience? Luigi has had decades worth or experience, Tails is only 8, meaning that Luigi has been taking on bad guys before Tails was even born. Seriously, once Luigi fights seriously, any hope for Tails to win would crumble. This isn't like the 'Mario vs Sonic' debate, there, Mario and Sonic are basically equal in a base to base fight, (With Mario having a slight upperhand) over there, once Sonic turned Super he would instantly one shot Mario. (Because Complex Multiversal outright godstomps Multiversal+) If Sega actually gave Tails more time in the spotlight, he would've had a better chance against Luigi, but for now, the result would be a Luigi victory. This video downplayed both characters tremendously, especially Luigi.
Did you just say Game Sonic is multiversal? That's wrong on so many levels. The only multidimensional beings are Solaris (To a very lesser extent time eater) and he only defeated Solaris with help and that's the strongest Final Boss in the games. For any Luigi fan about to type a complaint in the comments, I've countered most of the problems the Luigi fans have with this video, so before you type in a complaint, read this. 1. First off, the animation's for entertainment purposes only, any nitpick that "Luigi should've killed Tails here" can be countered, but complaints regarding that will be implemented into this list. Besides, Tails could've killed Luigi when he used the flash grenade. 2. "Tails is scared of lightning and Luigi has lightning powers, Luigi wins!" Having a fear of lightning and seeing someone with electric powers isn't a guaranteed win. Luigi is scared of A LOT of things yet he's able to conquer them, same can be applied with Tails. Besides, in the opening of Rush Adventure, Tails had no problem with the lightning storm he and Sonic were going through. 3. "Luigi's Negative Zone didn't do anything!" It made Tails trip and made him slower, 2 effects. 4. "No-one can escape the Negative Zone, it should have devastated Tails!" Actually it's easy to get out. Even if I get the sleeping effect or dizzy at first, I'm able to escape because Luigi spends the first half dancing so I'm able to get out before he gets me. You can also avoid effects with a shield roll or b up move. Tails has a shield and his flying may as well be Pit's wings of Palutena. You need brains and speed to escape the Negative Zone, and Tails has both. Also his rhythm badge does help keep his balance. 5. "Luigi didn't have as much items in this fight while Tails got a lot!" Mario vs Sonic proved that standard power ups countered each other, so there's no point in using them again. Luigi doesn't have as much in his unique arsenal as much as Tails because Nintendo didn't give him too much to differentiate from Mario, while Tails is an inventor so he uses more items than Sonic. 6. "They didn't make Tails tired with his flight and he went higher than usual!" They did make him tired once when Luigi used the flower, and Tails has proven to fly for longer periods of time and higher heights than the some games portray it. 7. "That magic hand was rigged!" You want a different killing move? Fine. Tails cuts off Luigi's head with a high speed tails slash, a regular one can cut metal so imagine what one at high speeds can do. 8. "Luigi has elemental medals in the poltergust, why weren't they used?" Does Luigi or Tails have a torch, sink, or freezer with them? That's why. 9. "Mr. L and Brobot!" Mr. L is Luigi brainwashed, and building a mechanical robot is a Mr. L feat, not Luigi. That's like if the Zelda vs Peach DB was Shadow Queen Peach vs Ganon Possessed Zelda. All of these characters require someone controlling them, AKA Outside Help. 10. "Both Mario Bros lost to Sonic characters, Screwattack's staff are Sonic fanboys!" Try comparing the amount of Mario videos on this channel to Sonic videos. Plus favoritism is taken out of DB. If they used favoritism, Batman, Chun-Li, Haggar and Goku would've won their battles.
The last one really makes me mad because people are so much of a hard core fan that if their character doesn't win then with their infinite logic they assume Screw Attack are a bunch of fanboys and never think that maybe the Mario Bros aren't as powerful as they think and that their Rivalry with Sonic and Tails is based solely on the Nintendo/Sega rivalry.

I still Call Bullshit For Many Reasons 1. Luigi has the most defense out of any nintendo character as is (I'm not exaggerating.... I'm being Honest,) and with all the attack Nintendo Characters have taken on from each other, Luigi could've been able to survive that blow. 2. Luigi can jump WAY higher than what was displayed in the Death Battle and Tails was still in the air for a long period of time when in reality, Tails Tires out from flying for a few seconds, This time period was decreased as Sonic Games went by. 5. Tails' Body is Very fragile and Luigi's Green Missile attack allows his head to penetrate ANY Surface, even at the first shot, Tails should've been Dead.

Alright, some people are super pissed about the outcome of this fight, so let me help you: 1. Luigi is superior to Mario in every way except experience, and he has a far deadlier arsenal than his brother. This includes all of Mario's powerups and lightning, negative powers and many more that Mario doesn't have. 2. Tails does still have the Intelligence advantage on his side though. We don't even know Luigi's IQ (though we do know that he's at least smarter than Mario). 3. Luigi's feats of strength are just as good as Mario's. He managed to lift the same castle as Mario in the same game as Mario. And he managed to stand close to a black hole just like Mario. 4. Can we even take Mario Bros. 2 into account in this fight (this has to do with the statement about Luigi's large radish trouble)? If that were the case then Mario is weaker than Tails as well, AND that would make Toad stronger than them both (which is canon even outside of Mario Bros. 2) I gotta say though, Luigi stomps. If Mario can beat Sonic, then Luigi can too. And if that means anything, then Luigi is guaranteed to stomp the weaker Tails. Luigi would stomp a majority of characters from the Sonic franchise (Silver being the obvious exception due to him having telekinesis). Also, to those people who talk about power scaling in video games like they can destroy planets and have fought Universal level enemies, stop it. You know that Yamcha could destroy everyone in the Sonic franchise and everyone in the Mario franchise (Bowser being the exception due to literally tanking a black hole while being inside of it while Mario and Luigi only stood around it and they do die if they get sucked into it), and he can't be Universal level in the slightest.

Also the fact that a lot of these characters (Tails) have had actual trouble with smaller things (like a 10 ton weight). Sonic and Tails have survived plane crashes while The Mario Bros. have survived crashing into multiple small planets at high speeds without injury. I think that statement alone serves my point, but I'll go further. The Mario Bros. have survived being just a few yards from a black hole. They've also got powerups that nullify things like Super Sonic. The Super Star would destroy Super Sonic because, as of Sonic Mania, Super Sonic is no longer invincible (look up the egg reverie zone fight). Super Sonic only makes you invincible to anything weaker than you, the Super Star allows you invincibility AND the ability to instantly kill anything weaker than you. Also, we know that Toad is actually stronger than the Mario Bros. by a lot! Not just in Super Mario Bros. 2 either. He's the strongest in all the other games where characters are different as well. But this is about Luigi, who is slightly stronger than Mario and has a deadlier arsenal. And so, if Sonic can beat someone like Shadow without any kind of powerup (yes he uses chaos control when you pick the dark story), then Luigi can too.

For example, when you control Sonic you are slow as hell compared to the cut scenes / movie / animation. He can run 767 miles per hour. So yeah, you defiantly aren't running that fast when you are playing as him. This example is universal to many games like Smash Bros, God of War, Star Wars whatever it maybe. You really thinking Krillin can beat Super Saiyan Blue Goku like in Dragon Ball FighterZ OR Piranha Plant beat Ganon in a real fight compared to Smash Bros.

This video hurts my eyes. Death battle, again, used non-canon sources and facts pulled out of their ass so their favorite character wins. Now look, I do like Luigi better than Tails, but that isn't a reason to call me biased. Luigi is not weak, he lifted a castle effortlessly, busted metal, and most likely can punch through a planet. He has survived being on the sun and an entire black hole and supernova. There is a large chance that Luigi is faster because he outran a black hole in space. He is also very intelligent, but while Tails is smarter, he isn't a big strategist. He only uses his intelligence for building and repairing. He has much more attacks than only his smash moves, thunder hand and his hammer.
The animation was cool and all until the death, because Luigi easily tanked getting crushed by a godly hammer and getting hit by gods.

My one real complaint is the strength thing. I've seen Luigi easily lift things much heavier than that radish, and they only took the word of one game to confirm that Tails can SLOWLY DRAG a 10 ton weight. Also keep in mind that he was using a gadget which could have improved his ability to do so.

They didn't even take into consideration that it took superman years to acquire that energy. and that Goku isn't that stupid. That Goku has done FTL and can freaking spam IT (Instant Transmission) and that moving planets has nothing to do when you are in the middle of a fight. They never took into consideration that the strength of a SSJ one Kame Hame Ha can blow up Earth and that he can traverse half of Namek in a second. A huge reason of to why Tails won this death battle, is because he used Strategy against fighting. Luigi is there to be a sidekick, to fight along Mario.
Tails is a flying fox cub who, first off, CAN FLY. He has an IQ of 300, as he uses that to make all the stuff he's made over 25+ years. Yes, tails also fights, but he fights with gadgets. And uses his knowledge against egg man. I already knew that Tails had it the first time I had seen this.

Now, I'm no expert on what's considered "Canon" in the Smash games, but if the Kid Icarus and Kirby Franchises treat it as actual events that happened in their timelines, I'd say we are safe to say that Luigi could kill anything at this point.

Ok, after a few days and seeing everyone's complaints, I think I have the answers for most of the problems people have with this, so here we go.
1. First off, the animation's for entertainment purposes only, any nitpick that "Luigi should've killed Tails here" can be countered, but complaints regarding that will be implemented into this list. Besides, Tails could've killed Luigi when he used the flash grenade.
2. "Tails is scared of lightning and Luigi has lightning powers, Luigi wins!" Having a fear of lightning and seeing someone with electric powers isn't a guaranteed win. Luigi is scared of A LOT of things yet he's able to conquer them, same can be applied with Tails. Besides, in the opening of Rush Adventure, Tails had no problem with the lightning storm he and Sonic were going through.
3. "Luigi's Negative Zone didn't do anything!" It made Tails trip and made him slower, 2 effects.
4. "No-one can escape the Negative Zone, it should have devastated Tails!" Actually it's easy to get out. Even if I get the sleeping effect or dizzy at first, I'm able to escape because Luigi spends the first half dancing so I'm able to get out before he gets me. You can also avoid effects with a shield roll or b up move. Tails has a shield and his flying may as well be Pit's wings of Palutena. You need brains and speed to escape the Negative Zone, and Tails has both. Also his rhythm badge does help keep his balance.
5. "Luigi didn't have as much items in this fight while Tails got a lot!" Mario vs Sonic proved that standard power ups countered each other, so there's no point in using them again. Luigi doesn't have as much in his unique arsenal as much as Tails because Nintendo didn't give him too much to differentiate from Mario, while Tails is an inventor so he uses more items than Sonic.
6. "They didn't make Tails tired with his flight and he went higher than usual!" They did make him tired once when Luigi used the flower, and Tails has proven to fly for longer periods of time and higher heights than the some games portray it.
7. "That magic hand was rigged!" You want a different killing move? Fine. Tails cuts off Luigi's head with a high speed tails slash, a regular one can cut metal so imagine what one at high speeds can do.
8. "Luigi has elemental medals in the poltergust, why weren't they used?" Does Luigi or Tails have a torch, sink, or freezer with them? That's why.
9. "Mr. L and Brobot!" Mr. L is Luigi brainwashed, and building a mechanical robot is a Mr. L feat, not Luigi. That's like if the Zelda vs Peach DB was Shadow Queen Peach vs Ganon Possessed Zelda. All of these characters require someone controlling them, AKA Outside Help.
10. "Both Mario Bros lost to Sonic characters, Screwattack's staff are Sonic fanboys!" Try comparing the amount of Mario videos on this channel to Sonic videos. Plus favoritism is taken out of DB. If they used favoritism, Batman, Chun-Li, Haggar and Goku would've won their battles.

It would also be prudent to remark that statistical capability in reference to strengths and weaknesses are ultimately what win a Death Battle, not relying on a game-breaking special move, further debunking those screaming about the Negative Zone. Also, about number 7, I actually wish the animator had done that instead, because while I agree with the outcome, that final blow did seem rather anti-climatic, phoned-in, and half-assed.

ya know, i honestly liked these videos, they were my favorite thing for a long time. I have always loved thought experiments and fictional fights, but honestly the community is ruining it for me. While you guys do have a great research team and think things through, there are occasionally things that are misrepresented or left out all together, which is perfectly fine, you guys are human after all (except boom-sticks ex-wife). The videos are still entertaining and I can still like them, but the fact that every video has turned into a shouting match and not a thoughtful discussion is really annoying to me. I know airing these issues on a four year old video isn't going to make a difference to the recent community, but I have been re-watching these to see why I don't like them as much and this is why. I hope that the community treats you guys better in the future, because you put in a whole lot of effort into these videos, and while not perfect they do deserve a lot more then the nerd rage (from both sides) that they are getting.

The whole "Tails can move 10 tons" is actually a funny detail that the developers of his game put just for humor, Luigi in the other hand can easily jump two times his height, the actual strength that human will need to do that is massive.
The most realistic outcome would have being Luigi killing off Tails in one single blow.

Strength - Luigi is completely stronger (he lifted a castle that made a tremor proving he has the superior strength) he can also bust a low-level star since mario has the 100th of DK's strength, and luigi has the same strength as mario. Tails is slightly faster than sound (its his top speed), if he punched luigi, his fist would carry 0.5 tons of tnt, that would make 1 or 23 humans explode. Tails can carry 10 tons (with his magic ring, he struggles btw), he can lift a mech with one hand, and can punch up to 0.5 tons of tnt, this is nowhere near luigi's top strength (which is unknown)
Speed - Luigi is faster, he can move to mach 2 (as shown in super paper mario), catch mario from a very far distance (dream team), run up walls, and can run around planets in 10 secs making him mach 11,479, the planets are small for a gameplay reason, if it was really small then it wouldn't have enough force to stay in orbit so it would be a meteor, and it cant be jupiter big because it would lose its surface and would burn the lifeforms in it, it has to be earth size than. Luigi also outswam a black hole, which is more impressive than tails outrunning it with a hoverboard. However theres a slight chance tails can keep up, his top speed is 1246 km/h, but again this is nowhere near luigi's top speed.
Durability - That explosion at the end of smg 1 wasnt a supernova, it was a universe destroying explosion, rosalina saving him is an assumption, even if we were to exclude this, we an take to account that he survived a black hole in the minigame "Black Hole Boogie", tails has been in a black hole, it was weak but this could be a gameplay, the force of a black hole will turn almost anything into a noodle, both of them survived without flinching, however luigi gets this one for being in a universal explosion.
Power-ups/items/forms - This video didnt include powerups because mario and sonic used them already (bowshit), all of them dont counter, that sounds like an opinion, the ice flower would have killed sonic. Luigi has wayyyyy moreee, the powerups would destroy tails gadgets, and super tails isnt canon since Iizuka stated the super emeralds arent canon. so basically luigi is op with power-ups

Tails flight limit is a game mechanic, as it can last a plenty amount of time as seen in cutscenes, but SEGA never stated it last forever. Also this dumb "math" by guardian knuckles which fabian used was stupid:

Umm, couple of problems
1. He never mention that Knuckles is the one who does the impulse (he is the strongest of the three).
2. Knuckles is the only one who impulse with a large force (he did more work), so he can not put all those numbers just because Tails kicked to Sonic.

Heres a list of characters that were brawns beating brains, Hulk beated the leader, Bane beated batman, even in one of the DB's, thor beated raiden (raiden is smarter), must i say more? Bruce Lee kicked Chuck's ass and bruce is somehow less smarter than chuck norris. The real power luigi holds is low-level star busting, this force would require, 6.62e+37 (66.2 undecillion joules), 800+ kilograms, and more than an earth exploding bomb. I've been hearing the negative zone isnt canon, it is canon, i know it represents the sub-worlds in smb2 and it was a dream but in dr. mario you can see an item somewhere in the game that slightly resembles the sub-world bottles, but mario is a doctor and luigi is a doctor so they'd probably know the ingredients. The NZ will effect tails, tails only advantage is if he puts on his rhythm badge on ground, and flys.
Luigi has the advantage since hes faster, stronger, more durable, op arsenals, and the NZ. Tails gadgets arent that much of a help against a powerhouse like luigi, even if tails sends down a bunch a bombs, this wont do much, luigi's been in a universal explosion.
Intelligience -
Tails is smarter, here are some impressive iq feats Tails did
1. Built a tv out of paper clips
2. Reprogrammed a super computer with detergent and toothpick
3. Built many planes and combat mechs.
4. Invented a ping pong ball shaped atomic bomb
The Marioverse shows that majority of the characters have great iq, for luigi hes actually pretty smart, here are some impressive feats i know.
1. Can do tons of sports without training professionally
2. Created combat machines
3. Solved many hard questions with in some secs (based on the player however)
4. Drove cars, motorcycles, planes etc. as a baby.
Technically tails is smarter in logic and tactics, but luigi has smarter combat exp. Luigi has been fighting as a baby till now. Luigi has better battle smarts. Luigi is faster, tails has fought enemies faster than him but not completely faster. But Tails wins this one.

It comes to this, Tails has more, but luigi has stronger arsenals, Luigi would dodge almost all of them (he dodged lasers, lightning, beams, etc. there slow and predictable for gamplays reasons), both can steal each others arsenals, however a powerhouse like luigi, most of tails gadgets arent gonna make luigi die, he can handle it, same for tails, hes been in a black hole, so he can survive a hit from a hammer. However since they kinda counter, lets say its a tie for now.
Advantages/Disadvantages - i havent explained all of the categories so lets add some in here
Tails Advantages -
1. Smarter, however they have similar iqs
2. Useful gadgets, luigi would destroy them or wont do much
3. More tactics, it doesnt matter if luigi has more superior combat exp.

Luigi wins almost all except intelligience or he and tails neither gets unique items. Luigi has better strength, speed, durability, and experience. One a scale to 10 fights luigi wins atleast 8 or 9 of them, tails is smarter but not in combat. Its no bullshit that luigi is faster (even when i explained it) Luigi is tails end basically

Pivotmon mon Luigi didn't tank the black hole. Rosalina and the Lumas saved him from it. He did tank the Supernova, but it was weaker than the Black Hole that Tails tanked, and Luigi was knocked out for several hours straight. Tails didn't even FLINCH from entering the Black Hole.
Also, Tails IS faster. The laws of physics do not apply accurately to the Paper Mario universe.

Yeah no, the only advantages that Tails has over Luigi are:
Speed (as Super Tails)
Agility (as Super Tails)
Intelligence
Other than that, Luigi *destroys* Tails in every category, Tails would have to turn Super to even stand a chance against our favourite Italian sidekick.
Luigi was able to stand his own against Dreamy Bowser, can scale to Mario who defeated Culex, both feats were done by base form characters, whereas Tails' best base form feat was comparing to Ultimate Emerl who was Galaxy level compared to Luigi's Multiversal feats. Even Super Tails' best feat was defeating the Phantom King and Egg Reverie, both of whom were Low-Multiversal, still pales in comparison to Luigi.
Power-Ups? Luigi has hundreds of them to use, he can simply put on the White Tanooki (Which makes him completely invincible to weaker opponents) and defeat Tails that way.
Combat experience? Luigi has had decades worth or experience, Tails is only 8, meaning that Luigi has been taking on bad guys before Tails was even born.
Seriously, once Luigi fights seriously, any hope for Tails to win would crumble.
This isn't like the 'Mario vs Sonic' debate, there, Mario and Sonic are basically equal in a base to base fight, (With Mario having a slight upperhand) over there, once Sonic turned Super he would instantly one shot Mario. (Because Complex Multiversal outright godstomps Multiversal+)
If Sega actually gave Tails more time in the spotlight, he would've had a better chance against Luigi, but for now, the result would be a Luigi victory.
This video downplayed both characters tremendously, especially Luigi.

Did you just say Game Sonic is multiversal? That's wrong on so many levels. The only multidimensional beings are Solaris (To a very lesser extent time eater) and he only defeated Solaris with help and that's the strongest Final Boss in the games. Death Battle downplayed Luigi's intelligence. He would've known that was a flash bang grenade and blow the grenade inside the pipe and boom! Tails would be dazed in the journey in the pipe and luigi would just paralyse tails from the pipe and he's dead.
For any Luigi fan about to type a complaint in the comments, I've countered most of the problems the Luigi fans have with this video, so before you type in a complaint, read this.
1. First off, the animation's for entertainment purposes only, any nitpick that "Luigi should've killed Tails here" can be countered, but complaints regarding that will be implemented into this list. Besides, Tails could've killed Luigi when he used the flash grenade.
2. "Tails is scared of lightning and Luigi has lightning powers, Luigi wins!" Having a fear of lightning and seeing someone with electric powers isn't a guaranteed win. Luigi is scared of A LOT of things yet he's able to conquer them, same can be applied with Tails. Besides, in the opening of Rush Adventure, Tails had no problem with the lightning storm he and Sonic were going through.
3. "Luigi's Negative Zone didn't do anything!" It made Tails trip and made him slower, 2 effects.
4. "No-one can escape the Negative Zone, it should have devastated Tails!" Actually it's easy to get out. Even if I get the sleeping effect or dizzy at first, I'm able to escape because Luigi spends the first half dancing so I'm able to get out before he gets me. You can also avoid effects with a shield roll or b up move. Tails has a shield and his flying may as well be Pit's wings of Palutena. You need brains and speed to escape the Negative Zone, and Tails has both. Also his rhythm badge does help keep his balance.
5. "Luigi didn't have as much items in this fight while Tails got a lot!" Mario vs Sonic proved that standard power ups countered each other, so there's no point in using them again. Luigi doesn't have as much in his unique arsenal as much as Tails because Nintendo didn't give him too much to differentiate from Mario, while Tails is an inventor so he uses more items than Sonic.
6. "They didn't make Tails tired with his flight and he went higher than usual!" They did make him tired once when Luigi used the flower, and Tails has proven to fly for longer periods of time and higher heights than the some games portray it.
7. "That magic hand was rigged!" You want a different killing move? Fine. Tails cuts off Luigi's head with a high speed tails slash, a regular one can cut metal so imagine what one at high speeds can do.
8. "Luigi has elemental medals in the poltergust, why weren't they used?" Does Luigi or Tails have a torch, sink, or freezer with them? That's why.
9. "Mr. L and Brobot!" Mr. L is Luigi brainwashed, and building a mechanical robot is a Mr. L feat, not Luigi. That's like if the Zelda vs Peach DB was Shadow Queen Peach vs Ganon Possessed Zelda. All of these characters require someone controlling them, AKA Outside Help.
10. "Both Mario Bros lost to Sonic characters, Screwattack's staff are Sonic fanboys!" Try comparing the amount of Mario videos on this channel to Sonic videos. Plus favoritism is taken out of DB. If they used favoritism, Batman, Chun-Li, Haggar and Goku would've won their battles.
The last one really makes me mad because people are so much of a hard core fan that if their character doesn't win then with their infinite logic they assume Screw Attack are a bunch of fanboys and never think that maybe the Mario Bros aren't as powerful as they think and that their Rivalry with Sonic and Tails is based solely on the Nintendo/Sega rivalry.

There's a reason I listed off those characters in particular at the end. Those characters lost their fights but Ben and Chad liked them better than the characters that won those fights. They've stated several times they don't choose on favoritism but people like you are too ignorant. And to counter that one, Tails is way faster than Luigi and would easily avoid that.

I still Call Bullshit For Many Reasons
1. Luigi has the most defense out of any nintendo character as is (I'm not exaggerating.... I'm being Honest,) and with all the attack Nintendo Characters have taken on from each other, Luigi could've been able to survive that blow.
2. The Strength in Tails is literally not an issue for Luigi. Luigi has Defeated all types of enemies with the same and even better strength factor than tails, With or Without Mario. Alright, some people are super pissed about the outcome of this fight, so let me help you:
1. Luigi is superior to Mario in every way except experience, and he has a far deadlier arsenal than his brother. This includes all of Mario's powerups and lightning, negative powers and many more that Mario doesn't have.
2. Tails does still have the Intelligence advantage on his side though. We don't even know Luigi's IQ (though we do know that he's at least smarter than Mario).
3. Luigi's feats of strength are just as good as Mario's. He managed to lift the same castle as Mario in the same game as Mario. And he managed to stand close to a black hole just like Mario.
4. Can we even take Mario Bros. 2 into account in this fight (this has to do with the statement about Luigi's large radish trouble)? If that were the case then Mario is weaker than Tails as well, AND that would make Toad stronger than them both (which is canon even outside of Mario Bros. 2)
I gotta say though, Luigi stomps. If Mario can beat Sonic, then Luigi can too. And if that means anything, then Luigi is guaranteed to stomp the weaker Tails. Luigi would stomp a majority of characters from the Sonic franchise (Silver being the obvious exception due to him having telekinesis).
Also, to those people who talk about power scaling in video games like they can destroy planets and have fought Universal level enemies, stop it. You know that Yamcha could destroy everyone in the Sonic franchise and everyone in the Mario franchise (Bowser being the exception due to literally tanking a black hole while being inside of it while Mario and Luigi only stood around it and they do die if they get sucked into it), and he can't be Universal level in the slightest.

@@SK-S2 I'm not lowballing them. Even with their speed, Mario and Luigi have nearly the same reaction times as them. Also the fact that a lot of these characters (Tails) have had actual trouble with smaller things (like a 10 ton weight). Sonic and Tails have survived plane crashes while The Mario Bros. have survived crashing into multiple small planets at high speeds without injury.
I think that statement alone serves my point, but I'll go further. The Mario Bros. have survived being just a few yards from a black hole. They've also got powerups that nullify things like Super Sonic. The Super Star would destroy Super Sonic because, as of Sonic Mania, Super Sonic is no longer invincible (look up the egg reverie zone fight). Super Sonic only makes you invincible to anything weaker than you, the Super Star allows you invincibility AND the ability to instantly kill anything weaker than you.
Also, we know that Toad is actually stronger than the Mario Bros. by a lot! Not just in Super Mario Bros. 2 either. He's the strongest in all the other games where characters are different as well. But this is about Luigi, who is slightly stronger than Mario and has a deadlier arsenal. And so, if Sonic can beat someone like Shadow without any kind of powerup (yes he uses chaos control when you pick the dark story), then Luigi can too.

Meaning that if I lowballed Luigi and highballed Tails by saying he could actually lift the 10 tons off of the ground, Luigi is still 193 times stronger than Tails.

1. Mewtwo. Sure Silver can make a giant katamari ball of death, but Mewtwo almost drowned the whole world of pokemon by simply waving his hand back and fourth.
2. I don't know these characters so I can't give a fair judgment.
3. Astro Boy. I think his flight capabilities would give him the upper hand.
4. Iron Man. From what I've read the power source in his chest has infinite energy, which he can use in a chest beam (I forgot the official name of the attack).
5. I've never seen MLP, but based on the two's death battle bios I think sonic would win due to his super form.
6. I can't say anything for this one either unfortunately, due to having never playing a halo game before.
7. Goku. Definitely Goku.
