I remember waiting a whole day to download this show back when I was 14 on a bootleg audioslave forum.. now 31 with 3 kids and I appreciate it so much more now. The band that got me into music, into bass and made me realize how deeply I miss Chris Cornell. The 2112 cover is so haunting now it makes me cry. RIP Chris Cornell and thanks Audioslave for all the great memories.
Just like the Christ Cornell statue that I was not allowed in to see. It's on a federal government oceanographic facility and Chris's statue had been vandalized with white paint 🎨. Thing is, that statue has been there since 1983.

Hadn't seen this show. This was the first thing I noticed; the lighting is super understated, almost static. All the focus is on the music and the expressivity of the musicians. Love this bootleg that captures the audience's excitement so well, gives a great view into what their shows were like. One of the best CC performances with Audioslave I've heard too (other than the Letterman show most of the ones online aren't famtastic vocal performances from Chris 😅).

I've watched a lot of filmed Audioslave concerts online and definitely this is my favorite out of all of them. Great clarity and Chris's voice just blends into the instruments. Together these four guys made some seriously awsome music. I own every Audioslave CD that was ever made. We have the rage against the machine guitar, bassist and drummer with Chris Cornell as the frontman. It just doesn't get any better than that. I have never been to a Audioslave concert so I really appreciate these videos. This is the best, thank you so much for posting this video

My favorite band of all time. I saw them them play pretty much the same show the weekend before this in Austin Texas. It was the best concert that i've been to by far.

I agree! I think the pressure of professional cameras at festivals, and the weird sound desk mix just makes so many bands sound shit/ feel on edge - here they are just fucking going for it, in a venue full of fans! Its beautiful.

Dang chris killed the end part of shadow on the sun just wish the audio/mixing emphasized his voice so we could hear the screams more. From what I heard tho very very good just wish there were more audioslave concerts around to watch.

Cornell got sick a few days before this show (he mentions he's sick before Black Hole Sun), and this was maybe the last show of that tour before his voice went. He struggled with it throughout that spring/summer, which is unfortunate as the majority of the Audioslave pro-shot stuff was from that summer (2005), including the Cuba show. He sounded great by the time of their big arena tour that fall, though. It's cool to have this show to hear how good he sounded at the start of that earlier tour.

Thank you for the tidbit. I love the version of Shadow of the Sun at PinkPop, but it’s obvious his voice is strained during the performance. He definitely sounds better here. I do wish more pro-shot performances were caught before this night.

As a huge Rush and Soundgarden/Audioslave fan, that blend of Chris doing "Black Hole Sun" leading into "Soliloquy" and then a seamless transition to "I Am The Highway" (one of my fav Audioslave tunes) is spine-chilling.
Also, I would be remiss if I didn't point out that the lyrics to that section of Rush's "2112" are actually a bit eerie considering what happened to Chris and his suicide in 2017. Yet another shade amongst his music.
Wish the quality was better, cause goddamn is this good.

A Rocking setlist! Love Audioslave. Miss them. Who knows we might see a new lead singer and a re-formation in the near future. Cornell while he is irreplaceable they could pull a Van Halen and find a new singer as long as the chemistry is there why not? Stone Temple Pilots did it, Alice In Chains,

I always liked and thought Tim's vocals on Like a Stone were funny.
Some people think he sounds terrible which I think is pretty funny, because I have perfect pitch and he's good.

Tim (bass player) can't sing very well at all. If you listen to any of the CD's you'll notice that they edit it with Chris singing both lines. This was done on Be Yourself and Doesn't Remind me for sure.
Lots of producers do that. Only if it works for the track, will they use the backing singer in the band. Unless they're a main part already (like Blur for example) Lots of Nirvana tracks had dave record for harmonies, but many just use Kurt double tracked. He isn't the best singer, our tim, but he does the job!
I think the best Tim sounded (at least from what I can find) was on the AOL Sessions performance in 2005 - him and Chris are melding pretty well on those...and that was before they started heavily using auto-tune on those sessions.
He tried man. So awesome he got to even try to sing with Cornell.
I love the rawness and imperfection of Tim's vocal contribution and the fact that they were all OK with it. It makes it so real. Love it. These days most bands would just throw some backing tracks with prerecorded vocals and other arrangements to sound huge. None of that is needed here. Even for the SG songs that are 2-guitar songs (Spoonman at least) they just played them as themselves. That's so cool.
I'm not impressed with his singing in this song because we can't hear his real voice. Maybe it's the techs.
