Another location blown out so billabong can sell more boardshorts. Funny how brands 'dont wanna mention' the spot but still add the landscape shots and many other reference points, giving away where the place is to anyone who tries to guess it or hits google maps - not to mention those who have to put in the comments that they know where it is. And please don't come with the 'locals are poor and need tourism' argument - this place has tourism for decades and the only ones making money of it are the resort owners.
Hi Barracuda, thanks for your comment. I would like to know what you mean by “blown out”. You think this place is going to be full of crowd after this video? I believe you have been there, and if you know anything about swells you know this place doesn’t work anytime of the year. It’s more than just watching this video and booking a flight. Yes, some locals are poor and they are super friendly and ready to welcome other surfers that can help develop the surfing community over there. Lastly, I live in Portugal (should be a “blown out location by your standards), I still surf and have fun everyday. It’s about the mindset, not the crowds. Have fun surfing, Luis
I agree. North trade winds constantly. Not a cheap or consistent surf location by any standards. @@luisperloiro I was there at the same time as you Luis. Shame I went with non surfing friends, would've loved to explore these points :D
