      I think this right here is the type of marketing especially FOR the type of people who'd buy Dr. Pulley products.

    What is the different from clutch spring to pillow spring?

    • @ludditeneaderthal
      @ludditeneaderthal 6 лет назад +2

      the clutch spring resists the pivoting of the shoe on the fulcrum, as is typical. the pillow spring resists the fulcrum rotating within a carrier. when the revs build first you get the typical "lever end wedging" of a centrifugal clutch, where the end of the friction material furthest from the fulcrum bears the most load (tangentially pointing lever). the rotating within the carrier moves the shoe friction material to a more concentric to the bell position, increasing contact area while maintaining wedging effect. that equals more "grip" between bell and shoe while still maintaining the wedging needed. this will allow (through spring changes) tuning your "initial slip" and "full contact grip" rev range more precisely in comparison to single spring clutch set ups. it also allows more clearance between bell and friction material at idle, so less heat build up, and higher heat rejection. the down side is a really bad set up can result in a "full time slip" power waster, or a "sudden grabber" that beats hell out of your running gear.

      @@ludditeneaderthal so is it worth it?

    • @ludditeneaderthal
      @ludditeneaderthal 5 лет назад +1

      @@tellmesomething2go that depends on your power curve, load, and riding conditions. Running a bone stock mill on level ground in northern Canada with a small rider, probably not. A large rider with a big bore and high po breathing mods in hot Hill country, probably so. A moderately built longer range city traffic commuter, or an urban messenger/delivery scoot, possibly. If, no matter what you build a stock style clutch with, you get rapid wear or top end slip, probably a must have, just for the increased contact area. A firm "maybe!", Lol

    it is impossible to buy dr pulley products in the uk ,such as slider weights ,its just stupid ,come on dr pulley sort this nonsense out ,the nearest stockist of dr pulley products is germany ,who have very limited stocks . what does dr pulley not think there are scooters in the uk . there are a huge amount of scooters owners in the uk . you really need to have a uk seller for your products .

    • @DrPulley
      @DrPulley 3 года назад

      Dear Sir, We're sorry about we don't have agent in UK,actually we contact PMTuning, Viking but they don't want to sell the parts with Dr.Pulley logo showed on the parts. You could order our parts through SIP in Germany, Turbokit in Spain . It'll be very appreciated if you could recommend one company in UK to sell our parts.
