People are still talking about Prusa being stale these days. But it's insane that they can do near all in-house products with all the QA and support they offer, while being in Europe, and still have pricing somewhat competitive to Asian competitors.
I think those people do not understand what it takes to make a quality product that is designed to be a long term used product and not something that is simply thrown away.
@@3DMusketeersyeah from now on when I’m debating with someone about bambu vs prusa and they hit me with “prusa is to expensive” I’ll link them all your prusa tour videos and if they don’t understand/ appreciate prusa’s pricing then they just don’t understand 😅
oh just wait for the ones we just filmed where you get to meet more people behind what makes Prusa the company it is! There is more to come in this series too!
It's always interesting to me how everyone with Prusa and BambuLab printers say they barely do any maintenance with thousands of print hours... As a Creality user I could never say something like that lol, I'm hoping to get a Core One or MK4S this year to finally know what a quality and reliable tool feels like :)
amen to that. The look the guy running the SMT line had when he saw I was actually interested in all this was something I will never forget. He clearly thought I was just a normal content creator. NO SIR, I am a turbo nerd that finds pick and place machines amazing and even more cool the inspection used to verify everything!
I hope Prusa can refine the AFS, because that is one of the most interesting advances in automation, and really the next step from having a massive print farm to having units have the prints ready to go so they can be picked up and boxed or moved to the next stage of assembly via robot. Overall, what Prusa does is remarkable. Not just making stuff in-house, but having solid support, and many people out there able to answer any questions. Edited: With a larger print farm, I'd probably be focused on prototyping and design. For example, designing a form factor for computers and storage for SOHO places that is smaller than the typical 19" rack, or other stuff that requires a lot of in-flight changes, which would be insanely expensive if one kept trying to make injection molds to do.
I wanted to buy a MK3, but dont had the room for it so Ive got a mini. Best decision ever! Then I wanted to get a MK4, but didnt had the money for it. Then they released the Core one, which I now want X D Maybe I just wait for a "Core mini" or something X D Darn, I love prusa for their quality and what they do for the printing scene. Also their manuals are well written (assembled the resin and the mini) and even have some jokes in them. The support also is very good (had to contact them twice). So glad to see a tour : )
this trip, technically no, not a completed one anyways, but this video was shot over a year ago ;) This year, well, you will have to wait and see, but I PROMISE it wont take as long!
@@3DMusketeers I actually meant last year. I'm just curious how long the Core One was in development. The Mk4S was already in the test phase when you visited Prusa in 2023. So I thought that maybe an early version of the Core One was on display for initial testing.
Thank you for a great insight. But I have to say I am disappointed as I was looking for the "sneak peek" in the doggo scene and there was nothing 🤣 I don't own a Prusa (yet) but use for my 3 Switchwires, my Micron "Baby I shrunk our V2", my Tridex and my V2 350 Prusa silk sheets. It's my way of giving Prusa support for all they do for the 3D community. The only wish I have is that they would do sheets for 125x125 255x255 and 305x305 for us Voron "groupies" 😇 If I hadn't had a Tridex, I would be lining up to buy a Prusa One kit... I can't wait to see your Video on the One
You could cut the plates down ;) lol. Why can I see some of the voron people doing that LOL. This year we spoke with the director of Prusa Polymers where I found out they also make the sheets in house. I had no clue!!
@@3DMusketeers Thank you Grant for taking the time. If I knew how to cut powder coated steel sheets, without peeling of the coating I would have done it. i dont get how they can have so many printers inside without air extraction. When I print even just white pla(anycubic) at 220C i start to smell it after a few minutes and start coughing and that is with just one printer.
Look up at the top of the shot, that's alllllll air extraction. The extractors are louder than the printers. It's kinda crazy. I'd recommend getting tested for an allergy to the plastic if you're coughing. I'm not a doctor, of course, but getting your lungs that irritated with one machine isn't extremely common and may give you some insight. this, of course, relies on good insurance or not living in the USA, so I totally understand if you don't go down that path. I don't have that level of sensitivity but the smell is obvious to me and was minimal in that farm, surprised me too. It was super warm though. We joked about using the waste heat to heat the building...

It was the printer, because we made the frames in wood then printed replacement parts. Yes the Darwin was one of the first but that is still how it was done. It's how my first printer was made and was a fun question for those that both know and don't know ;)
Servicing printers every 1000 hours? Seems like I forgot to do servicing of my MK3S+ printers couple of thousands hours ago. They did not need any yet!
It is what it is sometimes. I think the dedication they put into their machines is worth the added price but if you don't want to wait longer it's a simple decision. I get they aren't cheap and certainly with all these printers out of China the Prusa tax feels real, but when you see how personal each machine still is at Prusa it really starts to make sense, but it doesn't make the printer any cheaper lol
I am not by any means am dissing that printer what so ever! For every day users and not farms it’s hard to justify is all. And that’s my opinion and I’m sorry. They are outstanding printers and watching this video makes me understand more why they are priced the way they are! Hands down seems the way to go. But seeing quality over the few years improve weighs options. Loved the video!! Awesome info!!
@mikeheizmann6804 I'm not denying it at all, I agree, the Prusa tax is strong and difficult to look past where there are SO MANY OPTIONS right now lol. To be clear I wasn't upset or anything in the reply, hopefully it didn't come off that way :)

Oh hey someone that doesn't know why my hair is long and is being a jerk because I was overweight here.. My hair was long as we grew it out for charity raising over $6000 to shave my head last year for the SMF, a 3d printing charity. It's oily and I still don't know why. It was either frizzy to hell or oily, nothing in between, we tried so many different products even custom made ones. And yep, I'm a bit heavy here. Ever had Czech food? Before you judge a book by its cover, why not understand why it is the way it is. I do hope your day gets better and maybe you change your tone towards others to be less critical based on looks alone.
lol. Congrats on the charity thank you for your service. I never mentioned the length of your hair. Not sure we’re that is coming from. But, it wouldn’t kill you to maybe wash it and yourself from time to time. If not for you then think of others around you. Ok I’m done being a “jerk”. With all due respect of course.
How can you, from looking at someone in a video, determine they don't wash themselves? There ain't smellovision yet here so you're making wild accusations without any means to back them up.
Interesting that you would make assumptions about someone's appearance without actually knowing who they are or what the reason is for that appearance. If you are so concerned about what someone looks like on the outside, maybe you have doubts about yourself on the inside.
Your comment is as useless as 2/3 of the letters in your first name. I want to say bravo on your attempt to troll but it was as lazy as your parents were when they named you. Better luck in 2025 lad.
