I’m really excited for David Prior’s future in film. The Empty Man was a revelation to me. As a long fan of Lovecraftian/cosmic/weird fiction, that film was like a severed head floating above a sea of mediocrity. I say that with complete reverence. The Autopsy just further instills my faith in what he’ll direct next. Great interview. Thanks.
If you haven't watched it yet, you'll enjoy his 40 min. short "AM1200". Openly available on Vimeo, on the channel of his production company "DreamLogic Pictures".
I love The Empty Man and I was so pumped to know that David Prior was one of the directors in Cabinet of Curiosities. I want to see more of his works in the future!
David Prior need to get into a new project as soon as possible. This man has the potential to be a new Garland, Nolan and/or Villeneuve in terms of singularity of vision!!!
Love his work. Empty Man was truly unnerving. Some movies are so ahead of their time. I remember this came out the same time as Ari Astor's Hereditary. It's the twin to that film in some spiritual way.
