fellow uni of edinburgh student here, I saw you at the national museum of scotland last semester (the cafe) but didnt want to interrupt you studying, its so nice to watch your edinburgh vlogs as they're so relatable ahha
I'm a fellow Econ student (first year at uni in England) and last semester I did a module in sociology (mine was in social policy) and honestly I really enjoyed it. Definitely such a different learning style from econ and way more reading but definitely so interesting! I hope you enjoy yours! xx
im from the east coast of australia. i used to get a 5 hour train to visit family and would still be in same state. its amazing in europe you could go through so many countries in one day!
hey girl! I hope you’re having a great day!! You’re ottd is always on point. I’m just starting my senior year so erm- yeah. Hope you’re having fun! Stay well! Love you! ❤️❤️
love these videos! I actually studied abroad in edinburgh during the fall semester from the U.S and I miss it so much! seeing these videos is really nice to reminisce on everything
Hey I just want to say this is my first video of yours that watched, it was really amazing, I love your vibes. I am a sociology student from Serbia, sociology is so much fun, it expands your view on life, so I wish you good luck with it! 💟
your video randomly appeared on my recommendations and i think the universe is telling me something because i'm applying to a program to intern at the Scottish parliament in Edinburgh for the autumn semester!!
I'm gonna apply to Edinburgh this year for computer science. i honestly can't wait to be there. anyone who knows about the course hmu! love your videos nayna
Could you do a vid about how you found finding a flat for 2nd year and important things to think about ??? I’m currently a first year student at edin uni in halls and it would be interesting to see what you thought about it xxx
whats an elective?? ive applied to edinburgh uni and ive heard a lot about being able to take other subjects alongside the one youre getting a degree in and was just wondering how that works!! thanks x
You take three modules per semester, and normally at least one if not two are electives meaning you can choose. The other module is your compulsory module for your degree.
A 1st is 70 and above, anywhere between 65 and 70 is extremely extremely good, 60 upwards is strong, 50 upwards is relatively average. You'll find that probably 80% of students, certainly at Edinburgh will score between 65-75, I would assume (and from my time studying there). Additionally the first couple of years you only have to score above 40 to get into the honours years (the last two years) so any study above the requirement is to some extent redundant. It was rather disconcerting to go to Edinburgh and suddenly start scoring below 70 (when at school, 18 years and below) I was accustomed to scoring well above. I must stress 67% at 2nd year means this girl is probably well on her way to graduating with a 1st. She is clearly motivated and driven, and will likely be in the top deciles of her year I would assume. Its ironic however that she will probably do better off leveraging her online status, and personal brand post university, than she will her raw academic intelligence through pursuing a professional role in finance (which is where I imagine she would want to end up, after studying Econ.) She is super bright though; don’t take 67% as some kind of indication that she is below average when she is far from that.
TheBenchPressMan oh no of course not!! I didn’t mean that at all! Personally i think that that’s satisfactory and much more manageable than how kids stress out in the US for. I was more so reflecting on the difference. Also anyone doing any finance degree i respect. I’m a software engineer and my math and budgeting is trash

67% at all the schools I went to (USA) means you failed. Passing is 70-75% at best. Our standards are too high

it’s just different systems that aren’t comparable! i know 67% in the UK is much harder to get than 67% in the US!
naynaflorence I’m now curious to see what my scores would have been in England 😂 but thank you for the clarification!
was enjoying the vid until you said you're going to see your boyfriend
lol why?
