While peeps can argue about how impactful in combat healing is or isnt, no one can throw shade at those crazy buffs you were throwing out to multiple targets every single turn. That can be the difference between a silky smooth combat and one that ends a honor mode play through.

Yeah, it's a great added benefit of the build that I should have focused on more perhaps!

Nice use of thief's extra bonus action to squeeze more healing out the build. Also, it's really more a buff build than a healing build. Half damage + Bless for the party is no joke! Plus a skill monkey which is always nice.

I think it's both at once since handing out two lots of healing per turn as bonus actions, plus whatever we want for the action means it could fill both roles. Perhaps adding in beacon of hope would improve healing even further!

Feel that Phalar Aluve could be a great weapon for this build. Provide more support, and it would trigger sneak attacks since it's a finesse weapon.

That's a good shout, plus it still allows the use of a shield if that's what we wanted.

I believe it is easier to use Shadowheart as trickery/light cleric with mass healing words + necklace with additional mass healing words. As a bonus action. And action spend for radiant damage with proper armour with shockwave. And you have buffer and debuffer in one character. If you fight with a boss you switch your gear to adamantine armour + etc from radiant build to more defensive.
    Thank you for your content.

You're right there. This build is not particularly effective at dealing out debuffs like other clerics can do.

7 ancients pally 5 life cleric. Phalar aluve, hellrider gloves+ the ring. Take great weapon master and asi for 20 dex. Makes for a fun well rounded damage dealer frontline tank and healer. The aoe heal on ancients pally with 7 pally heals around 14 hp per turn and the life domain channeled divinity at level 12 heals for 30+ hp. Also lvl 7 ancients has an aura that cuts spell damage by half. With armor of persistence in act 3 you literally take no damage from most spells and melees.

i would argue that the 2 levels in paladin are kind of sub-optimal and just adding 2 more levels in bard for 5th level spell slots and charisma ASI would give you better healing.
even if you are just going to be upcasting mass healing word that 5th level spell slot is still worth something, but the big point here i think is the feat as it would buff alot of your healing stuff.
adding 2 levels in wizard might also be interesting because it would let you take 5th level spells from cleric and bard, with possible options being mass cure wounds\hold monster\spirit guardians/conjure elemental and also giving you portent dice, which fits with the theme of supporting your team.

A nice weapon that would work really well with this build is that legendary mace that clerics get from divine intervetion, it allows your character to heal in area for a bonus action at the end of each turn for ten turns. Even without any cleric in the party you can get it for killing hope in the house of hope (yeah, i know... But you also get a nice +4 shield for killing her so...)

shadowheart life class+amulet of wound closure is disgusting af. add gloves that give resistances with heals, and add a papadin aura+mystra's bless and you have a party that can damn near shrug off any damage.

Very nice build! The best healing build i've seen so far. However as you mentioned in the video, healing is kind of meh in this game ( maybe honour mode is different a little l don't know. because i haven't played honour mode yet )
But this is very nice nonetheless. Thanks and I hope to see more builds!

It definitely makes it less harsh but it’s not that needed imo. If you are prone to mistakes and don’t plan for every encounter well having a healer is a godsend. It can save your ass lol

I'd agree with @zachgould1989 that healing isn't necessary, but can be useful in a pinch.

Laughter is the best medicine, therefore the top roleplay choice at Bard level 2.

hey, do your character ever sneak attack 2x (in same turn) by action attack and reaction attack? I want to make a build from it.
I haven't test this yet and I saw some reddit threads that said it can't be done.

    • @CasualVeteranGamer
      @CasualVeteranGamer  3 месяца назад

From my own testing you only get to sneak attack once per round, action, bonus action or reaction. It's different from tabletop 5e and I showed it in my video where I showed why pure rogues aren't so strong in bg3, but still viable.

@@CasualVeteranGamer Ugghh I wanted to maximize this through dancing breeze since it's polearm. Combo feat PAMxSentinel + reckless attack + 4d6 + I'd defintely crit fish, it'd be so broken.
Did larian realize it and decide to remove 2x sneak atk? Dang it!!!

    • @CasualVeteranGamer
      @CasualVeteranGamer  3 месяца назад

@@buluketek5030 I didn't have that exact build, but I was using dancing breeze in a build in this video ruclips.net/video/B0G7Bi62-sM/видео.html, and I never once got to sneak attack with an opportunity attack and a normal attack in the same round.

I think people are really sleeping on the Heightened Spell Metamagic. I've been using it on my pure Sorcerer in Honor mode, but I just started working on a build to try to show it off as a solo character. It's great as a pure caster if you're using the rest of the party to take full advantage, but that doesn't look as good on a video.
So here's what I came up with so far. It's a 3 Sorcerer (I like Storm for the fly)/9 Swords Bard. It doesn't really matter what order you take the levels; maybe you want to go straight to Bard 6 for Extra Attack, but I would go Sorcerer first to get the control spells online early because that's the point here. You can have Disadvantage on Hold Person at level 3, and then on basically every spell you take as a Bard the whole game. Starting with Sorcerer also gets you Constitution save proficiency, which is also probably the way to go if you're respeccing late.
I won't go through the whole sequence, but the spells I ended up with were Shield, Jump, Hold Person, and Invisibility from Sorcerer, and from Bard I took Healing Word and then every Enchantment and Illusion Spell all the way up (I wish Slow was on the list because that's another thing I think is really slept on, but it's the wrong school). At 9 I replaced something unimportant with an extra Level 5 spell so I can know both Hold Monster and Dominate Person. That's because I'm using Band of the Mystic Scoundrel, which lets me cast almost every spell I have as a bonus action after using my attack.
Go Half-Elf to get proficiency with polearms. I like Wood for the movement, but you do you. Also you can use light armor and shields to survive the early game as a Sorcerer. You technically could get that from human, but c'mon ...
I'm using polearms (it's not especially important which one) and the Polearm Master feat because getting an attack as a reaction triggers that ring for free, so you'll start your turn able to cast your spells as a bonus action before attacking. And it will do big damage to take advantage of the free crits from your Holds - yeah you could use GWM, but tbh that gets old and I'm trying to show off the spells. If you don't get an opportunity attack then the standard pattern would be to attack once, then use your bonus action to cast a Heightened control spell, then get whatever benefit that gave on your second attack. If it did trigger, then you can start with a Hold (perhaps upcast at level 4, and all 3 targets will have disadvantage) and get both your attacks (perhaps Flourishes that hit all 3) as free crits.
Otherwise you can attack attack twice and then have your bonus action to cast Invisibility to hide, Fear to stop anyone from moving (while you're at extra reach range), Hypnotic Pattern to stop anyone from doing anything, etc.
Other than that ring (and any good polearm), there's no specific gear you need to have for this. I'm using the Gauntlets of Strength (potions would work just as well) so I can stack my stat points into Charisma and Constitution. The Charisma hat is great once you can get it. I'm not sure how the Helmet of Grit interacts with this but it could be good.
It does require some management of your Sorcery Points, since you're only going up to 3 and Heightened costs all 3, but you've got the spell slots of a full caster and the low level ones aren't especially important.

There is a long sword that heals the wielder for the amount of their charisma bonus. I think you get it from mugging Wyll's dad.

Since you get 3 short rests (2+song of rest) why not swap the paladin/cleric levels for 1sorc/2warlock convert spells to sorc points then arcane recovery create more lvl 3 spell slots, short rest to regain those spell slots back

For this particular build I wanted to look at how many different ways we can heal. I have no doubt that your suggestion would let us use warden of vitality more though!

I think the designers forgot lore bards can access this spell. Even the description states that a Paladin is using the spell😂😂 maybe that’s why it can’t upcast?
