- A lot of accusations have been made recently regarding Dream's most recent Speedrunner vs 5 Hunters video that it is fake, so Dream explains the events that happen in that manhunt.

I refuse to believe they're staged. They're usually hours long and take place over the span of thousands of blocks. Even if his speed-runs were staged, it'd be simply easier to do the manhunts normally. The ones where he dies at the beginning, are probably scrapped because it's not going to be an entertaining video to just see him die within the first five minutes.
Of course he plans to do certain tricks if he can, it makes sense since we know he's scouring reddit and other forums for new things he can do for entertainment.
Well because he cheats on his speedruns you can’t really believe him on his other content as his plays are beyond incredible sometimes

i don’t think the things that happen later into the game are staged but things early on like the water bucket fall im pretty sure were preplanned, like they probably went into it ahead of time saying “let’s do this trick for the content and then once we get into the nether we go from there” which i’m honestly fine with

Dream the reason most of us didn’t hear the audio repeat was because we were thinking too much about how you were gonna get your self out of the situation. We were glued to the action and trying to guess what you would do to get away. When you played it again and I was focusing on nothing but the sound, it sounded exactly like and old manhunt.
Edit: Honestly I have no care in the world if your manhunts are staged or not. I watch gaming videos for entertainment not to be a critic. Your videos are the most entertaining gaming series I’ve ever watched. I’ve watched the entire manhunt playlist at least 6 times. These same people criticizing only wished they could have thought of an idea as good as manhunt.

not all are haters. Its the fact he says "its not staged" when some bits clearly are. Heck the other day he admitted he splices audio from other videos they do to match the gameplay.
like the end, we're just meant to believe it ends with Dream v George, that Sapnap dies like in V 2 hunters AND dops pearls, the same saving grace from V 2???? VERY suss! And thats not hating, its pointing out how its too convenient. And since he's been caught and proven to FAKE his speedruns using mods, we cant take his word for it.
@@AzguardMike The Pearl thing Dream used the water to clutch and then George tried to Pearl to the edge to survive but it killed him so that’s how the pearls ended up there and how dream ended up in the water

So yeah I don't believe he cheated intentionally, it was a pretty unlucky incident that was discovered too late for his reputation to not have suffered a bit, so it's undertandable if you still don't believe him. I don’t see how people think you cheat if you post the uncut videos, I mean some of it seems scripted or planned and stuff, but I still have reason to believe it is real, but when snapnap threw his bucket and you jumped to get it, it was kinda odd

He goes as far as to make these videos to convince his (mostly) child audience who wouldn't know any better because they haven't developed their critical thinking enough yet. It's just 1)kind of annoying to watch 2)a bad example for kids who unfortunately idolise him. Giving them the first lessons to lying and manipulation. i don't understand why so many people want to call him out for doing staged plays. the point of the videos is to give us entertainment. if that's achieved there shouldn't be a problem.

Don’t need to justify yourself that you’re not cheating or the manhunts are real. No matter what they are productive, positive, and entertaining.
I’ve watched all your videos and played Minecraft a lot. Many times I’ve thought what you do is amazing but not cheating or fake.
IMO people who accuse you of cheating are jealous. Watching your videos helped me start speed running. Though I can’t compete with you, I can get to the ender dragon in 30 minutes, because of your videos and learning your techniques. Keep doing what you’re doing. Your videos have helped me a lot through tough times and my only complaint is you don’t upload enough. More crazy challenges and mods please. RL craft with George and sapnap series would be amazing.
The ones who are the best at something has the best of ability to cheat on the thing they are best in because they are more knowledgeble than anyone and know what looks fake or not. I know this is partly fake. Tricks that isnt possible to do without planning for both sides has happened in this series.

I will clarify,The Speedrun was cheat,but Dream didn't intention to cheat,that's because of that stupid client he forgot to remove.

I think the only thing is that RNG is tweaked but every manhunt server I play on is like that so I think it's just a manhunt thing by now tbh.
It's kinda neat seeing that Dream actually splices in audio for himself to react to something, it just means that he's too focused in the actual recording to react in an entertaining way, so just just makes it a bit more entertaining without actually changing the manhunt!
I don't see how this "proves" this isn't fake (for what we know this could be very craftfully scripted).
But it doesn't matter: what's the point of a video? Entertain you. Sure, having to know this is real, would make it more interesting, but it still entertains you even if fake, cause (if it is fake) they are convincing.
I wont lie, there were a lot of insane clutch plays and maybe the editing was working to reinforce that suspicion in a small way lol
I thought the way the hunters were talking before Sapnap dropped the bucket was suspicious- like, why would they put water down and let Dream escape? I have no doubt the plays weren’t faked in terms of skill, but I’m a little suspicious that at least that moment was planned ahead of time.
@@notchmath9642 They were putting water down just incase dream hit sapnap off, and if dreamwould fall into the water, like dream himself said, he has NO sprint, and was on 2 HEARTS, and the hunters were right there, so he and the hunters knew he would be dead.

I think people just find it hard to believe that Sapnap and George are quite dumb, and I mean that in the least mean way lol. Sometimes people are dumb and often do dumb things. BBH nor Ant nor Sam are amazing at PVP either, but they make up for it with their planning. Watching it we're like how can they do something so dumb, but I also don't think they expect Dream to do such wild shit such as risking a drop to catch a water bucket and land when he has no sprint or food.
when sapnap stopped dream's boat flying machine, i changed my view on him, his not as dumb as he used to be. they all do improve especially when you rewatched the manhunt series.
i also think that george is stupid or dumb but at the same time, there aren't a lot of people willing to take minecraft competitively, this isn't League or DoTA where professional players sprung up like mushrooms.
and if they get a hunter that is extremely competitive like Lumina, it will end in a stalemate most of the time, making it boring and repetitive.
apart from that really, i also think that their rules needs to be refurbished like dream should not be in voice chat with the hunters, so that the hunters can actually communicate well. the communication they have through voice chat is extremely exploitable. just saying, because you don't see MOBA tournaments having open voice chat with their enemies.
Ant and Sam are good for the technical details and exploits which makes them deserve their spots.
anyway, its just my thoughts on the matter. its not like dream and the dream team can see my comment lol.

It does seem like there are multiple manhunt attempts before one comes out as video worthy, which puts the idea that it's a back and forth competition in doubt.
He has said before that if he dies extremely early (I think within the first 5 minutes, so basically when they start), then they do another one as it wouldn't be a very entertaining video if it ends 2 minutes in. Pretty sure he also gives all of the hunters some money whenever they manage to kill him early.
So, if you count all of the manhunt attempts, the hunters would have won overall as there have probably been at least a few where he died at the start. However, it seems they count the competition from when they actuaĺy have some stuff.
They're not "fake". However, there are certain agreements they have. For example, it's possible the hunters know to back off when he's trading with piglins. They could easily just send a few hunters into the nether to chase him at all times, including during trading periods.
Its obvious based on reactions and natural conversation that the hunters and dream have that BOTH are fully invested in the outcome of the match. There is a game aspect to it. But behind the scenes it might be set up a bit more than we think.

It was proven he cheated. So his manhunts could be staged too. But WHY would he do that when it would be SO much easier to actually PLAY the manhunts?
He did cheat, thats not debateable. However, it wasn't intentional, although it was technically his fault by not checking his mod folder for the active files, I'm not REALLY blaming him.
Look up Karl Jobst's video on the topic and you'll understand, and not telling anyone for half a year... how is that bad? 'Oh man, the coder for my mods put in something not allowed, lets tell everyone im a big cheater so they can gaslight and roast me and add to an already really stressful situation'. This dude has been hated on for a mistake for too long, and he's young. He's bound to make mistakes and lapses of judgement are common in high-stress situations like this.
Honestly it doesn't even matter anymore, why do people care about someone that cheated a while ago, it doesn't matter. His speedruns aren't on the records anymore, completely delisted, so he won't cheat any more speedruns in the future, regardless of intentions. It has been dealt with and he expressed regret and willingness to move on.
If you don't like the man, here's a simple solution; Don't watch him! Ignore him and don't post hate on his videos, that doesn't help anyone in any way. Lets just enjoy his content for what it is; content. Content designed for enjoyment, edited for suspense, and played for fun. So please, don't hate, be mindful before you post, and have a nice day :)

dream has a plugin for manhunts which increases pearl drops, blaze drops, structure spawn rates, etc. apparently the plugin was also a data pack (which affects single player worlds) but dream didnt know that. so he still had the datapack on without knowing it affected his speedruns

If anyone thought that the hunters pillaging with normal and not cobbled deepslate near the start was evidence that it was staged, it’s not because when Sam died from falling near the end, you will notice that dream picked up a silk touch gold pick that they probably got from a ruined portal. Love the series.
About the water bucket MLG, I would've done the same thing if there was nothing else to do, because first of all, Dream had no sprint,and he was a one shot kill, Sapnap could've killed him easily if he wasn't doubting so much lol, and second, it was a reaction time and his only hope of surviving! You guys would've done the same thing if you were in his shoes! You only have a split second to react to what to do when you're running out of options in a manhunt

Dream you should really make a video with you and the minecraft moderators who I already know has verified everything in your manhunts to be legit but all the haters then seeing the minecraft speedrun moderators or whichever ones have verified your videos actually confirming them in live video so the haters would hopefully shut up more and keep them from spamming your videos as much
So basically - not staged, but reactions kinda faked. I think that all these manhunts are so epic because Dream just uploads the good ones.
he did mentioned that before. he has like a good 5 minute plot armor at the start of the manhunt. especially when he raided the desert temple and looted a notch apple and survived the tnt. because if he died there immediately they will actually just restart. dream mentioned that before.

Well, he modified the loot tables for the two most important items in a Minecraft Speedrun, denied it, until it was undeniable, then he acted like he forgot he had done it for six months when I'm sure he thought about modifying them every single day up until the point he broke down and admitted he cheated, by "accident".

I don't think they are fake but I feel that the hunters are dumbed down. As in, they are told to play a little bad. Either that, or I question their intellect.
if anything the hunters became smarter. for example dream used an end crystal to kill the hunters, and they didn't even know it was possible to craft them. the hunters then took that information and used it in later manhunts; to heal the dragon in one video, and to blow up dream in another video, both resulting in dream losing. plus as the manhunts went on dream had to think of more creative ways to defeat the hunters. it's probably just harder for the hunters to stay coordinated when there are more of them

Hunters brains turn off whenever he's at half a heart and they just stop all aggression and become defensive for no reason.
So either a muted audio cue or they know what his actual health total is, a constant occurrence in every manhunt, VERY blatant in this one.
They're not necessarily fake but they are definitely scripted for certain things to happen.
Entertaining content either way, well edited with the correct music for the situation for tension or sadness into a sense of triumph.
I do think it'd be better to just stop trying to disprove things though.
