I forgot how insane this routine is. It takes some amount of skill to really grasp how good Yamato is, but BEING this good is a whole new level.

I love the crisp clean sound that emanates through the speakers thanks to one amazingly talented DJ Yamato and Pioneer but the blending of the tracks that Yamato chooses is really something magical to my senses. So GOOD thank you so much for uploading your awesome mixing!
As an artist & performer this guy gets my upmost respect. I’ve been a mainly controller/digital DJ for 7 years now & I’ve received a lot of judgment for my setup but it’s almost always from CDJ guys who can’t even do half of what Yamato is doing in this video
He's done more djing in the first 10 seconds than I've done my entire life.

Pioneer need to make additional versions of all their DJ videos which explain/annotate everything that's being done. It's clear I'm watching an absolute master at work, but a lot (most in this vid for me tbh!) of the time it's not obvious what effect all the button pressing and knob turning is having. An explainer vid lasting maybe 10 times the length of this vid would be so cool. Edit: With slow motion too.

I think my favorite part of this is that even though everything's happening so fast, if you watch closely enough, you can see just how he pulls everything off! (for the most part, I'm still not 100% sure how the 900nxs2 effects work)

If this comes naturally then there is like no way the rest of us can compete. This definitely is a pre-planned sessions that was rehearsed. The curiosity is HOW long did it take him to compile, rehearse, and perform. If it took a decent chunk of time, then we are all capable of doing it. If he literally just threw this together then that is a totally natural ear, brain, and talent that can see the equipment and just play which in that case is amazing.
