The best thing about this deck is that it literally has everything you need to work well. During the G and V eras the trial decks had just the bare minimum of what you needed for a deck and all the cards were too basic with effects. Heck some didn't even have perfect guards. But this deck has a solid strategy and the main units strategy is so good it basically makes up for having a few vanilla cards in there.
Actually, even G era began including PGs, staple cards, etc. It wasn't until V era when they finally started including all the key cards at 4 copies, making it so you only needed to pick up one trial deck to have 4 of everything important. Then D era made them start decks so they didn't cost $10 per deck. So over time, Bushiroad got better and better with trial/start decks, which is good. Starting decks should get players immediately into the game and give them everything important so they can get straight to upgrading with the pack cards.
@@vgmaster02 Honestly the only thing I don't like about Vanguard is that they got rid of the clans and basically retconned all the previous era cards. But I still really love the game I even bought a Bavsargra deck.
@@matthewcloyd8413 Oh you can still play with Clans since there is 3 formats now. Premium where you can play them all. V Premiun where you play only with V series cards. And the Nation system which is D Standard. In Premium you can use this cards in the clans they represented under there nation. Also they did not retcon it at all since overdress lore wise takes place 3000 years into the future and witht the 5 nation system they can support all decks at once.
@@kaisuzugamori4173 Oh yeah I knew all that, thanks for refreshing my memory though. I just kinda hope that they still make some stuff for the G Units. I remember during the V Era they still made some Stride Cards so I'm hoping they continue to do that as special boosters or something. But yeah I see what you're saying and the new Overdress era does the game easier to follow, which is definitely necessary since the show now is more about the story itself rather than the card games, not that I'm complaining though.
I’m just getting into this game. My friend showed me some of the cards and I thought the artwork was epic!! The holographic cards are what got me into it. Found out the card game is cheap to get into. Easy card game to learn and affordable. That’s a Win in my book . Let’s hope they keep it that way. I don’t want it turning into Yu Gi Yo. I don’t want it having a secondary market that makes the cards expensive.
Somthing to point out is that the current sets of vanguard (D series) supports 5 nations so even though they say the deck is supported with set 4 in Feb it can also be used with cards from sets 1-3 it just won't be direct support for this deck but can help upgrade it. 🐱 Great to see you still have interest in the game and love your content. 😃
I was having conversations with a lot of different stores in California and they all say the game is dying if not dead already. I was strongly recommended to not get into this game. Whats your opinion on this?
Those stores are lying out their ass. The game is nowhere near dead. In fact, it's the complete opposite. The game is booming, players are jumping into the three current formats left and right, the Bushiroad Rumble Online tournament had just wrapped up this past weekend and it had a massive turnout, sets are selling out in Japan left and right and getting reprint runs, etc. So I don't know what stores you went to that said the game was dying/dead, but DO NOT listen to them. I HIGHLY recommend getting into the game. It is so much fun, there is a huge player base for the game, and I'm sure you will enjoy the game too.

@@matthewcloyd8413 This year we will see new strides and G guardians as well it seems
Honestly this deck, just out of box, is pretty good, due to all the consistency it already has.

My friend and I tried this vanguard overdress. And honestly this is the best version of vanguard.

I still can't get over the fact that the animation studio for Vanguard Overdress is CLAMP(xxxHolic, Cardcaptor Sakura, Code Geass, Blood-C, Chobits)
Cyberknight went full tyexas
These are such good value. Play this game dude. There's your idea for some new content. Learning and testing Cardfight Decks! ❤️
He (used to) do that on his CCG channel.
Box 4 will help the deck a lot. There are also new arms in the box that makes it even fun to play with and against it.
Seems like a solid deck right out of the box, esp for the price!
I would love to see you get a box of the set, and maybe a deck list update if this will be your OverDress deck.
I'm open minded to try card games. But, I'm a pokemon and yu-gi-oh guy.
They got him too huh
Sealed blaze maidens are gonna be my second vanguard deck cause my first ones are shadow paladins.
Uh oh fueling my need for cardboard.
IMO this start deck is one if not the strongest of them all
it's weird that this card game is $3.99 than YuGiOh and Pokemon. crazy
really good opening
Let's goo time to duel
Where can you buy this ?
I love Cardfight vanguard content
Epic

@@vgmaster02 thanks. I wanted to get in, since they now have catgirls, but I was told to not get into it due to lack of players
@@kouseiargento if anything, it’s going to get even more popular due to the next set next month. HUGE power ups to the previous start decks
