Awesome video!!! I have been using Iclone for about 5 years now and Live Face about 2 years on my trusty Iphone that I use just for Iclone. I notice LiveFace got updated to 1.2 and seems to work better on than than the original. Do you by any chance know if LiveFace will work on Ipad Pro? Ipad Pro does have true depth and I was thinking of using LiveFace on an Ipad Pro. Thanks for any info:)
I don't own an iPad Pro to test. I can not see it on listed devices on the app store either.

Awesome. I still don't get the idea how this face mocap animation can be transfered or cobined with character that had been created using character creator. And how to have both body and face animated at the same time.
If your character from Character Creator, you create your body/face animation in iClone and then use LiveLink or Export the animation and the Import into UE5.

At 3:05 you say "You can record them in separate stages using animation layers." You're saying you're able to use the Animation Layer window and its layers with facial expressions? I thought Animation Layers were only for body motion (under the timeline's "Motion" track).

Another question if I may add, what kind of iPhone stand do you suggest for Live Face capture ?? I am a bit confused and wanted to buy the appropriate one.
iPhone 10 is min but I used an iPhone 11 pro in this tutorial.
I am not an apple guy, I wont buy newer iPhones at the price they sell them at,
So I went for the one suggested by family members, who do own apple gear.

I could not get video to work with Accuface.
It requires external codecs according to the docs.
With this plugin doesn't support for iphone 8 right?
iPhone 11 is minimum version I think.

Is the motion capture accurate? Would you depend on it for 100 percent of your character expression? or does it need more refinement on the coding level?
Like most of the iPhone solutions, it is limited.
It is much cleaner than other products though.
How it will stack up against Metahuman Animator or other AI based solutions moving forward, I do not know.

I do my work inside Unrealengine sequencer most of the time. But yes you can edit/modify in iClone.
When I press the + buttom nothing happens... What I can do to solve this problem?
Can an ipad be used instead of an iPhone?
I can not be certain, I do not have an iPad.
Whatever the iOS device is, the camera has to support TrueDepth. If your iPad or iPhone supports Face ID, you have it. Otherwise, you don't.
the live face option under the body section on the gear drop menu don't appear, so i cannot type the app op address. any ideas what im doing rong?
It is difficult to say without further info.
@@elrama53 your IPhone app should be open. Also select the character that you want to do face capture for.

Just curious, are there any differences regarding quality and motion range in using different Iphones?
If so, where can I look it up so I can pick the one that fits my needs. IPhone X has a very bad capturing range and isn't really picking up, what my face does.
I am not a huge Apple guy. I use an iPhone 11 pro and decent lighting in my office.
It's ironic that Reallusion despise the Mac platform and refuse to port it to Mac yet use iPhone instead of Android for face manipulation. I'm forced to use the abysmal Windows with CC4 which makes for a miserable experience but can't use Android. Such is life.
Macs suck.
It’s because iPhones have LiDAR and android does not. And windows has more users and Mac computers do not.
Do you find Reallusion easy to use? I am on the 30 free trial and it seems overly complicated. I want it to speed up my workflow but I don't know if it really does. What say you oh great Jobustu?
Yes, it has made my life easier, if you can afford it, buy it.
More than that though, something like iClone 8 is also so advanced, under the easy to use surface functionality that,
it will take me years to learn how to use it all correctly.
Its 10 times easier then Blender or Unreal 4 and 5 you need both Character creator and Iclone Character creator is for the creation of the characters and Iclone is for animating them . Iclone can take the graphics even farther making meta's easily as good as unreal 5 or Blender dont let the cartoon look they present the software in fool you. It rivals unreal 5 easily for creating characters. Unreal is still better for making worlds and a.i. pipelines for games etc etc
