Tonjit explained that every year the ocean would recede so much that the circular land bridge between the islands would emerge, which is when his tribe would move to a different island. That current is also what causes the Aqua Laguna to happen thanks to the massive displacement of water. In the manga, Admiral Aokiji shows up at the end of the Foxy fight and freezes the ocean for Tonjit and Shelly to get across easier. Doing this accidentally resulted in the Aqua Laguna becoming more violent.
I don't think Aokiji could affect anything. And trying to tie something he's shown doing regularly to a big event like lhis many many chapters later is plain silly. Rather, the weather getting worse and Water 7 sinking more every year is tied to the larger One Piece world that this is foreshadowing.
1:13 to be fair, most of the fandom has fantasied about sweeping Robin of her feet. Smart, beautiful, mysterious, chill, and has a dark sense of humor. She’s a catch.

Someone she could finally trust that wasn't going to betray her for the government. He accepted her straight away, without even asking for her intentions. "That's fine she is not a bad person!" That's the thing Robin doesn't want to do the things she does. She didn't want to work with crocodile, she is doing what she can to survive and for her dream. She doesn't want to be evil but was forced to do evil things. Here Luffy says it out loud, she is not a bad person. She saved him twice! Luffy is only alive because of her. Luffy gave her what she had gave up trying, freely! He never once doubted her intentions, which must have been so conforting. Whenever someone hints of having a problem with Robin, Luffy gets protective. Against even an admiral! Hinting this would be a problem if the galley-la had it to "you got a problem with Robin" to the people they need help. That can be counted as Luffy's stupidity but it shows, Robin's well being is his first thought.

Luffy & Zoro getting stuck is kinda symbolic to their states of mind being clogged by all the mess with Robin... I can argue it was Zoro who made them pursue Robin this way...and then asked Luffy "were you able to accept her reason" to which Luffy refused that how could he. while Sanji stayed all away from it all, waited his time, and made the best decision. his white knight behavior helped as well.

I guess when they tried to make it back across the rooftops, Zoro and Luffy both rolled a nat 1. Edit: It's so amazing how Oda built tension here. There's so much going on and he just lets all these character moments sit in the middle of all of it.
