Which god should I pray to?
@@vladimirbodurov6572 I have too many imaginary friends
Vladimir Bodurov It’s ok there’s an atheist version too, meditation! Though it’s less fruitful, still effective.
@@WittyComm3nter far less fruitful like 10e-9 less fruitful
I really liked "Study more and work less" - that's something that I have always considered so core and that few people do it!
coding is really stressful, when a problem is not solved quickly I think "why I am doing this?". Is not that I hate math problems, actually, that is the funny part. What I hate is when a command doesn't work, the server is not working for some reason, the last update of the framework has some bugs, the code which was working like a charm in dev environment now in the production environment give 500 errors.
This this this this this this this! I didn't even know how to describe the issues when I encountered them.
The thing I hate about coding is I get one thing messed up spends 5 hours to fix it then feel incompetant and then feel demotivated. I love html so much because is way easier to make stuff because I don't really get errors
1: don't.
Seriously, if you don't like it, don't do it.
This. THISSS. I remember when I 1st started my college years my school makes you take the 101 for most major computer paths (software dev, databases, networking etc) and I remember trying to FORCE myself to love python and java and just realizing, I absolutely did not enjoy it at all. But once I started doing database design as an elective I believe I found my true calling in that
@@user-em3wd2sb4c hey is this true man like i want to learn it i want to make money from it BUT IM JUST SO LAZY TO LEARN IT THERES NO MOTIVATION FOR ME TO GO AND PRACTice it ive put in to much i just cant leave computer science HELP WILL IT GET BETTER
@@devenadajania1518 Same here bro, coding is a compulsory subject in my study programme so I am forced to take it. Want to learn it but god damn it is so boring, I hope I will pass.
Although it's a popular saying these days, coding actually ISN'T for everyone. Some people have a personality that needs constant social stimulation. A coding career will force them into a deep, dark depression.
@@devenadajania1518 for my experience man, I took Soft Dev for the money but after having 1 year of experience I really cant bring myself to code anymore because I really didn't like coding
On the sleep cycle, sleep is roughly 90 min cycles. The best is at the end of each of those cycles, not the whole night. Though a human needs 3-5 cycles. So schedule yourself sleep time of segments of 90 mins plus the time it takes you to fall asleep. If that alarm goes off during the REM portion of the 90 min cycle, it is going to suck ass. So 4 cycles is 6 hours of sleep, I personally go for 5 cycles which is 7.5 hours plus time to fall asleep.
Bro... I didn't quite understand that??? Mind explaining, please!!!🤓
Pretty sure step 7 is how I survived my accelerated Bachelor's degree.

Same!!
You’re a really good person Caleb and a great teacher- THANKYOU. 😊🙏🏻
I discovered your channel recently as I’m new to programming. Thank you for the tips! I’m absolutely determined to master at least one language by the end of the year.
asking help from colleagues sure is a way to solve some of my coding probs
Awesome advice Caleb. I implement most, well, most of the time. When I don’t I usually suffer for it. Praying is one that more people should consider. Glad you mentioned it. My code needs divine intervention at times! LOL
Thanks for the tips bro!....You have no idea how EXTRA frustrating it is for ME...(who just turned 49 YEARS OLD!)....I'm like a fish out of water, I'm struggling with C++ and Python right now...and I just got in the mail?...my "Python Crash Course" textbook...which I'll read religiously...then I'll have to get a "C++ For Dummies" book and tackle THAT one...but I like your ideas, and will incorporate as many of them into my curriculum as possible!....Wish me luck!...and thanks!!
Honestly, the best advice I have ever get in my career was to eat correctly and sleep more than enough. I see the differences when I scrap for food or if I arrive on 5hours of sleep at the office. I don't think people realize how important health is!
how much hours is healthy to sleep?
*Dear Caleb,*
*Please don't die, I need your vids*
Great advice ,especially on taking care of your health( sleep, diet) ,taking breaks and a clean workspace helps you feel organized not overwhelmed or chaotic.
You're a beautiful human being... The last one was very touching! Thanks for the advice
Thank you Caleb 😍 Thank you
Helped me a lot 💕
Imagine that I’m a mother of two , 24 years old and I’m a new software engineer that has no sleep due to my 1 year old son. & and my boss gives me 3 tasks to do everyday that include coding, debugging & editing .. and I struggle a lot while doing each task .. I feel miserable.😢I’ll follow these tips tho
I wish you were my professor. Kudos to you Sir! So glad I found your channel. Finally some good quality content 😎👍
Every dev student wants to!
@Caleb Curry what does that mean?
Nice video! I can't begin to tell you how frustrated I am with a project that I am working on. I've read blog posts and worked through tutorials and still nothing. I'm going to have to take a few days break before I start pulling my hair out lol
We’ve all been there 😭. Hang in there and think outside the box!
how about now?
Did you finish the project?
Where have you been all this while? thanks, these tips are really helpful
I like coding because i really enjoy hard math problem solving, at the moment I'm just a newbie at c++ , and i'm sure it will get much harder but it means the problems will get much more enjoyable to be dealt with, if it makes any sense.
Hey! Where have you reached so far in coding?
and is it more enjoyable
how is it going bro?
Great advice. When stressed I do pray, but I also meditate for 30 minutes a day and exercise, lots of stretches and walk for at least 1 hour if possible.
Coding is just something you use to build a project. It’s a pain, but there is no way around it. Refactoring code is something I hate more then washing the dishes. But I know I have to get through it, so I can continue to add to my project.
I still hate coding till this day
I appreciate the care you put into this video, in particular the script.
I took CS as a school subject because it was recommended by my fellow uncle. I am dying
Thanks for this video! I am all new to programming. My first class is Matlab and C programming. I was getting so frustrated towards the end of Matlab because I could not understand some concepts. I'll definitely take your advice! :D
Thank you for this video and for this channel !
I've been giving my brain 40 years (since I first took a formal programming course: Fortran) to rest by mostly not programming again, other than very rare sporadic moments. I tried about twelve times to figure out that horrible horrendous TeX / LaTeX typesetting garbage, over a dozen times, since I first learned in 1988 of its existence. So I have given my brain PLENTY of rest since 1988, of not wasting my time trying it. Hasn't solved TeX/LaTeX for me.
thank you man for advices, you are cool
loving the new vids... Have you joined an essential oils cult tho? XD
I love Young Living Oils too they are awesome! Hey fellow YoungLiving Brother
just the motivation I needed,,,thank you Caleb🙏
Looking up for change in my coding life after hearing this... kofi from Ghana
Im computer engineering student right now and i dont like programming .. it feels bad
Im trying to just be happy so .. carpe diem if you dont like it dont do it
Yep when you look at it its seems like a real shit job, pay is good but really..

coding with team in company = why i am here just to suffer.

Really good tips
Thanks for this 🙏🏻
lavender? nah m8. mint oil, i snort that shit
Hey Caleb! Just starting out on learning SQL Server. Love your videos. Got any great references or material that will also help with learning how to code?
I LOVE doing mathematics! I HATE computer programming. And I did well in computer programming (in spite of still hating it, but slightly less) in formal community college courses: earned A in Fortran (1981) and an A in both first & second semesters of C++ (2005). Used Fortran tremendously in college (1982-1986) for chemical engineering projects, along with a programmable calculator that I used every single feature of, for physical chemistry (1983-1984). Never used Fortran nor that programmable calculator after that. Began teaching myself Python in January 2015 out of necessity to aid with my mathematics research. In spite of moments of triumph, the strain, the struggle, the drag of it has physically damaged my brain, giving me chronic brain damage that is hurting my ability to learn or concentrate on or do ANYTHING: not just Python programming. In the end, I may have to rely 100% on proving what I need to prove using written mathematics with the aid of MS Word only. MS Word + Mathtype are my savior. Bill Gates
is an international hero. One of the very few billionaires who has actually earned his billions. Unlike Warren Buffett or Elon Musk, who are both gigantic scammers + frauds + freeloaders off the hard labor of others.
Tip 8:
Attract yourself to Coding by writing 15+ lines of Code Everyday you started to love coding
I love coding. I do it in my free time, at night when I have an idea that cannot wait till the next day. Nobody forces me to learn new languages. I feel blessed that I understand the technologies, and have the discipline to study and organize my time and activities. I also love math and physics...I guess I was always meant to be an engineer, so I did that. Coding and engineering are not just abstract activities, they are a life style...
Try eating a vegetable lmao
7. Was a pleasant surprise, subbed
As a beginner at coding I REALLY want to learn to code so whenever I try to learn its fun and then I get tired and go not fun
Flatearthers have solved the psychology problem: just be a contrarian to everything.
Just make up shit and declare oneself right. Right about what the syntax is, the code is, what is true or false in physical reality, in computer reality, in math reality. When a program appears to "not working", just declare that it IS in fact working, and that the problem lies with the client or employer or government.
2:30 Bruuuh, too real
Honesty for work coding does seem like a very hard thing to do every single day for hours. Everyone seems to totally love it but I decided I'm learning for myself for fun not to try to get a job
I love the little laughter he has while speaking 😂😂.
Yeah Sleep and Healthy Lifestyle.. eat healthy food and exercise.. That is very helpful, Trust me.
I love Young Living Oils too they are awesome! Hey fellow YoungLiving Brother
Scaaaaam
Tip 1: Once you've gotten to your job on time because you did get out of bed, you've won half the day
Praying is so crucial, I have been working on a chrome extension and this API has confused me, then I hunkered down gave it to Jesus and within 3 days I got the heavy lifting out of the way now I can focus on framing the view and slide into my update meeting like 😎. Praise the Lord!
Caleb C., I was exactly, like you, when I was young, I like your video.
Sorry, for spelling your name wrong. My eye and hand co-ordinations, NOT good.
THANK YOU!!!
His dad played Bugger in Revenge of the Nerds.
15 years old me looking desperate at this video bcs i hate coding so much and i do not understand it(i go to a hs were you have to take AP CODING,C++).The problem is that im not good at anything and i have no idea what to do with my life.
Caleb Curry you are most human than I thought and I thought you are a robot
Awesome video.
When I first started recently, I was Coding for about two days, non-stop and fell asleep with my finger on the screen LOL. Its like a DRUG!
totally true
is it just me or his cute li'l laugh makes you laugh too?
I fell on the ground with this sentence "another time it's like this life sucking virus that you can't get away from".
so COVID19 vs coding, what a match 😂😂😂😂
It makes tons of perfect sense.:-):-(:-O:-D And don't answer your phone if someone calls you at 2:00 A M.
PRAY
Plz suggest which books will help us to solve our coding error and in which we can learn more in your opinion
Спасибо чувак) огонь советы! Thx you dude you advices are awesome) Best is sleep well - 8 hours)
Why would you put your religion into a video about coding?!
WHY OH WHY IS IT IN THE COMMENTS THAT FULL GROWN ADULTS ARE SAYING LOL! LEAVE IT TO US KIDS!
Still HATE CODING
LMAO your happy face. I'm implementing predicate searches in 3 separate windows with JavaFX GUI and apparently the windows CANT SHARE TEXTAREAS HAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
i think you should use discord insted of slack you would get more users as discord way more cool than discord imo
thnky for the tips. I hate coding! and coding hates me too (pshh)
Very easy step: Do something else

Life sucking job :D - That made me laugh.

lmao
So I'm planning to go to school for IT to become a security analyst. I can't find much information on it but would that involve coding or no? Doesn't matter to me just want to know
DONT DO IT LOL
Any experienced developer hates programming, just like any “girl coder” loves to dress the part.
❤❤❤
this advice is so useless
Horrible skits 🤢 🙄 😆
