Ok can we address Crystal Beast being in D tier? Absolutely ZERO way crystal beast post support is D tier, it has a one card OTK and several searchable disruptions with a ton of consistency for a sealed format and with Sam's staples the rank 4 engine becomes even more busted. Rainbow Bridge of the Heart alone makes it a low B tier deck*

From this series, I think a revision of the wheels would be good. The matches are a lot less enjoyable to watch when one deck is significantly stronger than the other, regardless of who had the luck of the spin. To stay fair though, maybe to revise the wheels until after the series.

The wheel isn't updated more likely for the crystal beasts case and I am pretty sure that the tiers aren't based on their pure versions. At least I can't see pure d rulers( who have their entire deck banned) being equal much less higher than pretty much all the decks they dueled with so far
Honestly, both the tier list wheels and the staple decks need to be rebalanced at this point. Not in this season but before the next.

I am sorry to say this but I 100% agree. Seereax always builds his own decks and loves doing it that way with no help. And after the last 3 episodes I can not say the same for Sam. This was a deck building challenge and Sam has gotten help and copied someone else's deck. The only reason I watch these at this point is because of Seereax.

Idk if you watch progression series on cimooos channel but it would be unwatchable without iwishiwasdead who makes gages decks.
Since their card pool is so big having some help makes sense but outside of general support it’s just the archetype they get from the wheel.

Lol this wheel is so wack. Not only the tiers but the staple wheel is so bloated with stuff that are clearly not even in the same ballpark utility wise.
On another note I think people root for seereax because the man duels from the heart. He's not trying to be a meme lord. Hes not copy pasting decks. Hes taking time building decks like we all used to on the playgrounds or sitting in the card shops and it makes us feel like we are rooting for our younger selves while Sam is the face of current yugioh with meta building and decklisting. But thats just my thought. Anyways good stuff. Excited for the next episode!
I just binge-watched the whole series and I can say this with absolute certainty: this series is getting worse as it progresses.
This is due to various factors:
1) *The Staple Wheel* : starting off strong, this is the main complaint I have. The staple wheel should, of course, give you a generic card to help you in future episodes, but it should *NOT* give you a modern day competitive card + cards to enable it in any deck. The staple wheel should just be 1 *SINGLE CARD* , that might be able to help you. You *SHOULDN'T* be able to *CHOOSE* the card you want. The *Wheel SHOULD* give you a *SPECIFIC card*. This specific card might also be a competitive one (e.g. Zeus) but you *SHOULDN'T* be able to get a package to enable it. That "Any 3 XYZ" that became a generic Zeus package is extremely unbalanced. What's next? DPE + Fusion Destiny + any 2 D-HEROs?
The wheel as it is right now is going against what the series is trying to be: a series in which you try to explore even trash *DECKS* to see what they can *DO ON THEIR OWN* .
2) *Sam and deck building* : the series not only aims to explore obscure/rarely seen decks, but it also aims to improve one's deck building skills. Now, I know that since "specific" support is allowed the card pool is huge and you might not notice good cards, but I think this is a good aspect of the whole thing. It rewards the deck builder's knowledge of the game. The more cards you know, the better your deck is going to be as you already know about cards that synergyze well with the strategy.
I can accept using the Wiki to explore the various synergies, but getting your *DECK BUILT BY OTHERS* is so *LAME* and *LAZY* .
On top of all that, the charm of messing around with a never before seen deck is not knowing the most optimal combos. If someone makes the deck and tells you how it should be played, what's the point?? This also makes the series slightly *MORE UNINTERESTING* .
*Sam SHOULD BUILD his own DECK* .
3) *The Tier Wheel* : not even the Staple Wheel's sister is safe from my criticism. This Wheel is *UNBALANCED* as well, even if not as much as the staple one. You can't tell me that Koa'ki Meirus (which need a SPECIFIC card in order to be able to play the game) and Crystal Beasts WITH THE NEW SUPPORT are the same. exact. tier. You just can't. It's not the first time this has happened. The Magnet Warriors deck is definitely NOT a High E tier deck. Sam's mysterious friend, you mean to tell me Koa'ki Meiru is better than Magnet Warriors? What did you smoke and where can I get some?
These *INCONSISTENCIES* with the *Tiers SHOULD BE FIXED ASAP* , otherwise we'll get non-games where one side is literally hopeless, with no real way to win, thus making the *series EXTREMELY UNINTERESTING* and *BORING* to watch.
Feel free to argue on my views in the replies, but if you agree with me, like this comment so Sam is more likely to see it.

I agree with all your points, especially the staple wheel, the staple wheel is so busted now that you can get a card that can literally carry you for that whole tier no matter what deck you get. You cannot convince me that if Sam gets a low powered deck with lv 4 monsters that he won't resort to bagooska pass and then turn it to attack mode during his turn, attack and make Zeus then from that point he has pretty much won the game coz most low power decks can't deal with that. Neither of them should even have access to Bagooska in this series, Zeus on it's own can be a staple, it would be powerful but it would be completely reliant on the owner spinning a decent XYZ deck but Bagooska is a generic rank 4 floodgate on legs that even some competitive decks struggle to out it, then what chance do low power decks have against it
So who's gonna build Sam a deck this time?

How much help does Sam need to win? Either he pulls from the wrong wheel, he uses terraforming in every deck or someone else builds his deck. Kinda weird when he's supposed to be the yugioh expert.
He keeps rolling bad, the more you watch the more you realise he is more knowledgable on rulings and Yugioh in general, this shows more in deck profile videos and duel night

He looks like he can be an actual cool dude irl but my man, some things need to change in this series, he can't have his hand held creating a deck if he's in top 50% yugioh players, even my little sister that has played like 6 games of yugioh in her life knows how to create a somewhat decent deck. The other thing is getting his ass to work in the wheel again, it's straight up outdated and he's actually using it and proving it's outdated in the most viewed videos of his channel from the last months, avoiding the problem is not a smart decision here. I think he knows how to play yugioh, he just has to prove that he understands the game creating his own decks.

As for him not building his own deck it may seem annoying to some and i think this may be because the rules have not been fully explained in fact the rules don’t require you to make your own deck just that u fit the archetype and have allowed support cards so Sam is allowed to make his deck like this.Now that we get into stronger decks that will have more profiles we will see more taking of other peoples decks.
Plus in this episode and the performapal one Sam had an easy win anyway if he made the deck himself cause it was that much better.

Also it's called a "deck building series" in the intro. It becomes less a game about skill when you look up not only the deck, but exactly how to play the deck. It's the equivalent of that one episode where Pegasus gave the kid notes on which exact moves to play.
@@naos8116 on the website it says nothing about having to build it but I get your point this hasn’t been communicated well.And I also think piloting the deck takes more skill even if you get a decklist.For example a starter won’t have any idea how to play dragon link even if they get a master 1 deck, recognising combos and not misplaying in the duel seems to require more skill imo.

The whole wheel needs to be remade, or at least the current tiers that are left need to be looked at. Sam has said the wheel is old, so it's not updated whenever new support cards come out. The fact that he could beat an E deck with an F deck (if I remember that correctly)proves that. They should use only the first set of cards that came out with the card set or use only the cards that were out when the wheel was made. Some card sets have gotten support over the years, but some have not been given any help, which is a significant disadvantage to the opponent. Also, the staple wheel should be looked at, and both players need to build their OWN decks!!!!! We are here to see these's two deck-building skills, not someone else's. If we wanted to see how other people make the decks, we would watch them. They should never have assistance or try to build someone else's deck to beat the other. This series is about who can make the better deck with the card set they have spun, but it should be built by what they think will be good in the deck, not what someone else thinks they should add to the deck.

I feel like the series would be a bit more interesting to watch if both the decks being used were of similar strength? Like don’t get me wrong Sam and Seereax is a great combo as is I just wish the duels were more back and forth and less one and done.
There should be a new rule where Sam is not allowed to get help he has to build the deck on his own.

The man cheated multiple times throughout this video. Guy got help from Neshy to make this deck. I've never seen someone so dependent on others to beat someone in a children's card game.
Seereax has practically a perfect win streak this entire series so far because of just the sheer amount of cheating Sam has done throughout the entirety of it.

WindWitch is a good sub-typing. Not a Main Type, I know it wasn't allowed, but going into Ice Bell to Glass Bell to Snow Bell make Winter Bell then make Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon, or go into Ice Bell to Freeze Bell to WindWitch Chimes to get Snow Bell make Diamond Bell and you got a monster that can't be destroyed by Battle or Card Effect. But... Windwitch is very bricky at times and you need the perfect hand at all times just to get on the board.
Seereax is not yet convinced that Sam got BOWSER!😂
I need to (re)read the series rules because I unironically love the Windwitch archetype and feel it's better to lean into the burn aspect of the deck with Diamond Bell as the spearhead. But, if you can't use burn support then that kind of does go out the window. Also, while I do think Windwitch can win this match-up, these decks are on two completely different levels for the most part. Especially when ran relatively pure.
I swear the wheel only takes into account constructed decks not pure, Windwitch were good as an engine in Invoked back in the day but now are only good for Crystal wing/Shenshen turbo these days, not having a robust boss makes them so much weaker whereas crystal beast is a decent deck pure because its received so much legacy support. Wheel needs rebalancing because WW felt like a D/E tier deck but it was going up against a B/C tier deck

This really is Sam's villain arc he's doing a real good Dr. Drakken impression. But honestly without people making the decks for him just like in progression when Gage kept rolling up with Chaos every week and losing this series would get old if every week was just Seereax 2-0ing Sam with a different archetype each week. Gotta do something to make you wonder who will win. Honestly though I'm amazed Seereax doesn't just mute Sam when he tries to play that would be so irritating to listen to while you're trying to think.
The Jesse accent was definitely not the same Sam 😂😂
