Before I write this just to clarify I'm not defending Rose's behaviour here. She was being extremely creepy and making Den feel uncomfortable. However I think Rose might have suffered a learning disability or was very self conscious to the point where she wanted to copy other people which I noticed one person commented. Considering the napkin with the writing and the fact Rose's mom had to drag her away after not being able to tell Den didn't want to be hugged or talk to Rose. Den, I'm sorry for what you went through it's not okay for anyone to be treated like that please keep up the good work and stay strong. Rose, I hope where ever you are now you're in a better place mentally and you've become more sure of yourself x

As someone who works with kids with autism, I couldn't agree more. My kiddos each have at least one thing that they obsess over, whether it be cars, airplanes, films, etc. Awkward doesn't necessarily mean dangerous or malicious. I wish RUclipsrs considered mental health and didn't think someone looking at them wrong equaled stalking. Like there are people who are victims of actual domestic violence and stalking threats. I gotta say, a lot of people here seem to be blaming Den for not being honest with Rose and telling her she's not interested in a friendship, which enables her obsessive behaviors to continue. You can't really blame Den for doing something that is the most common reaction to an unexpected encounter. The people who blame Den have probably dealt with this type of crazy person before, but you've developed that skill solely by reflection on your own mistakes, which probably were the same ones that Den made. Crazy people come in all forms, and no one is ever fully prepared to deal with each case with an all-purpose reaction. It takes reflection to hone your skills of being blunt and honest, and be more suited for when you come across someone like this again in the future.
Den clearly made a mistake here, but haven't we all? We're all allowed to react irrationally in a situation that terrifies us. Hindsight's 20/20 and all that, but more than that you hear about people in situations similar to this who didn't make it out alive or at the very least have to change locations or phone numbers. You truly can't judge another person's actions in this situation even if you've been in a similar one because your situation was our own and their situation is theirs.

Actually, her behavior went far beyond that. When someone becomes obsessed with you they don't really want to listen to reason. there was a girl who literally wanted to become me when I was in high school. Her name was Alex, and she was similar, if not worse than, Rose. I actually told her how she was bothering me, and that only made her more obsessed. The thing about stockers is that they want something from you and will stop at nothing to get it. It's more than social awkwardness. I suffer from social awkwardness, but try to learn about people's boundaries and social norms. there are some people out there that well actually get mad if you tell them. So please stop judging her for her dramatic experience with Rose.

She sounds like a person that has trouble with social cue and due to this she has few friends so when you where friendly to her she was trying to force a closeness. It’s more sad then scary to me I’ve had a lot of friends like this and most just need to literally be told your boundaries and given a heads up when they are crossing them.

The crazy types like Rose are drawn to people who tend to be kindhearted or non-confrontational. And they will make people feel sorry for them to manipulate.
She sounds like she really admires you, but is absolutely ignorant on how to be considerate. Definitely needs therapy, but that's not your problem. It's amazing that you made this video, because hopefully now she knows EXACTLY how AWFUL she makes you feel. After seeing this video, she has no excuse. I used to be a stalker, but that's because I was diagnosed with autism too late, and everyone was too polite to tell me I was being creepy until it was too late. Now that I know better, I've figured out how to be more thoughtful of bow my actions and words affect others (mostly by reading books and asking for advice straight-up, because social skills do NOT come naturally to me.) So, Rose, get therapy and learn to be considerate. You may have autism like me, and will have to learn how to make friends in more healthy and common ways.

If you feel like you're walking on eggshells with EVERYONE, examine your personal boundaries and perceptions of other people's expectations. Talk to a therapist and talk to people you trust.

there was a girl who literally wanted to become me when I was in high school. Her name was Alex, and she was similar, if not worse than, Rose. I actually told her how she was bothering me, and that only made her more obsessed. The thing about stockers is that they want something from you and will stop at nothing to get it. It's more than social awkwardness.
I suffer from social awkwardness, but try to learn about people's boundaries and social norms.
there are some people out there that well actually get mad if you tell them. So please stop judging her for her dramatic experience with Rose.
It was pretty fucking dramatic. If someone is stalking you via social media, or in real life. I suggest going to the Police. Secondly, blocking her was so fucking pointless. You need to speak up and say with a serious tone about why you don't want to continue to hang out for her, and explain your reasoning. If she still doesn't listen, that is the moment you need to get the POLICE involved. When she said "Rose" was following all her social medias and watching her videos, I was so dumbfounded. So, what you are telling me is if I follow my favorite youtubers, and watch and read their posts 2 minutes from their upload, that is considered stalking? It's disgusting how she made this video infront of..320K PEOPLE? Fucking christ, have some decency for people's privacy! I am sure it wouldn't be very funny if I exposed her for some of her dumbest shit if I had the chance.

She sounds like a person that has trouble with social cue and due to this she has few friends so when you where friendly to her she was trying to force a closeness. It’s more sad then scary to me I’ve had a lot of friends like this and most just need to literally be told your boundaries and given a heads up when they are crossing them.

I find it disheartening that you can tell the _whole_ world how uncomfortable this person made you, but not the person who actually needed to hear it.
She sounds like she really admires you, but is absolutely ignorant on how to be considerate. Definitely needs therapy, but that's not your problem. It's amazing that you made this video, because hopefully now she knows EXACTLY how AWFUL she makes you feel. After seeing this video, she has no excuse.
I used to be a stalker, but that's because I was diagnosed with autism too late, and everyone was too polite to tell me I was being creepy until it was too late. Now that I know better, I've figured out how to be more thoughtful of bow my actions and words affect others (mostly by reading books and asking for advice straight-up, because social skills do NOT come naturally to me.)
So, Rose, get therapy and learn to be considerate. You may have autism like me, and will have to learn how to make friends in more healthy and common ways.

Get away from people who make you feel scared all the time. If you find yourself constantly walking on eggshells with a specific person or people, and you don't feel safe telling them how you feel, find an escape route.
If you feel like you're walking on eggshells with EVERYONE, examine your personal boundaries and perceptions of other people's expectations. Talk to a therapist and talk to people you trust.
