Innsbruck is my favorite city in Europe! Hope you loved it and get to hike the Zirbenveg trail!! A favored east hike if you ride the gondola up and back down at the other end. Fun Alma along the way!
Hello and thanks for the fun video. I have reservations for 08/2022! I'm super excited and have been watching videos of others who have traveled in the summer. I giggled at how excited you got when you heard the "gong"! I already know that I will have the same excitement. We're starting with the Bernina Express then onto the Glacier Express. Similar to you, we have the Eurail pass so I'm glad that we will save the money for these special trips!
I feel for you with such a long train journey. I’ve done similar (tho not the GE) and it does make you very tired just sitting all the time. Our bodies need to move each day!
Hi guys! I watch Eurail vids all the time, as I was going to Europe in 2020(lockdown🤦🏼♀️). Now I will still be going as soon as I can get the trip back together.. with one month in German language school & a two month Eurail pass(have to get that fixed too.) I have to congratulate both of you for, in my opinion, the best Eurail videos I have seen! Thank you so much! Of course as a 👵🏻 it will be a much s l o w e r trip!😂❤️👵🏻 do hire yourselves out to Seniors as guides? That would be great! We may be old, but not dead yet & still wanna have fun!😆😁
Hi Jane! Hope you are able to make that trip soon! That's so great you are learning German! Thanks for your kind comment :) and honestly, we think it would be so fun to be tour guides for seniors! we actively try to take slower trips!
Hi Lisa and Josh, Well that is an interesting day trip. It may have worked out a better idea to catch the Glacier Express in Brig at 10.18 that way you could leave Interlaken at 9.00 and connect in Brig then on the Glacier Express to Chur then continue to Innsbruck. You need to at least overnight in Zermatt and see the Matterhorn at a minimum it is such a beautiful place. As it was I'm guessing you were only in Zermatt for an hour or less? Not to mention not as many connections along the way, maybe next time? Thanks
yeah - I wish... well, that we had more money, staying in zermatt was EXPENSIVE - way outside our budget. it looked beautiful though - next time hopefully :)
I love trains too and Switzerland!!! I remember being on a train around Interlaken in Grindelwald and the windows were so small and i was so disappointed 😂 Definitely need to take this the next time we’re in Switzerland 😊 It definitely looks worth it 😍 - Andrew
Switzerland definitely needs that biiiiiiiigggggggg window energy while you're traveling here - I can totally feel how having a small window would just ruin it. :) we think it's worth it for sure
Hi guys! Fantastic video - thank you so much for sharing your Glacier Express experience. I am heading to Switzerland in a months' time and wanting to do the Glacier Express using the Swiss Travel Pass which is free. Which website did you use to make a seat reservation? And was there a reservation fee of 49 CHF which you had to pay in addition? Thank you!
While the pringles are fine, it seems you missed on eating the best potato chips in the world: the Zweifel Paprika chips. Oh man, I feel so sorry for you now! ;-))
@@LisaAndJosh You MUST. You have not lived a full life if you haven't had Zweifel Paprika chips. This is a widely shared, fundamental semi-religious truth in the Swiss society and not even open to debate. It is possibly THE ONLY thing all Swiss agree upon. 😄🙏😂
Thank you guys for sharing along with th e pricing. Awesome trip!

I feel for you with such a long train journey. I’ve done similar (tho not the GE) and it does make you very tired just sitting all the time. Our bodies need to move each day!
Exactly! We're not meant to just sit and look at stuff all day, we're meant to go out and interact with the world :)
Do you think the Glacier Express is worth it?
No
Heck ya!!!! Dream trip!!! I wouldn’t even want to blink.
That was so nice, I wish I could go in 1st class, miss u guys!

Hi, just wanna ask what requirements they're looking if your traveling by train from italy to Switzerland? Thanks and enjoy.
they sometimes check your vaccination card, but other than that, nothing!
@@LisaAndJosh thanks, excited to see the place next month...enjoy 😉
In what month was the trip? and what do you think of the Andermatt to Zermatt route?
Awesome
thank you! :)
Can we ride glacier express without seat reservation?
not when we booked it - COVID has required the whole train to be reserved seating
do i need a 1st class eurail to book 1st class glacier exp?
