I rarely comment or want to comment on RUclips instructional videos but I want to make an exception here. You confirmed a lot of good advice & added a lot of new valuable information to my own journey of discovering music on the piano. I just needed to say thanks Jason. Very gracious of you to share this on this public platform unselfishly. God bless. 🙇🏻♂️🙏🏻👍🏻
So much more great information and loved hearing some of your background. It was fun to see young Jason and your family members. Thanks for all your great content! It always motivates and inspires me.
I agree with you all of the issues you have spoken here....sadly i had encountered all of these and got over all these misconception long time back luckily. I would like to add one extra suggestion ,which has not been mentioned here is the use of metronome.Metronome is a tremendous thing....it can help hugely...however without proper acquaintance with metronome in early years of a beginner, may lead to disastrous consequences later on during studio recording
Sympathetic resonance through the sustain pedal use on the acoustic piano truly enriches the sound. I'm not familiar with keyboards but would imagine this would be software enhanced.
Very glad I found your channel this week. Really enjoy your mannerisms and techniques really has helped me broaden my horizons a bit. Right now it's you and pianote I'm learning from. I'm working hard and making progress. And this piano mistakes video is already more subtle and unique than the bland ones out there that don't say much or help much.
This is the 2nd time watching this video within a week and I learn and more deeply appreciate all the advice and pointers you shared the 2nd time round as I pay more attention to the details of your precious gems of advice. I will go over it the 3rd time and write down notes of key points I need to be aware of and remember. Thank you so much for sharing what you have learned on your own piano and musical journey to help us be better students and pianists. I LOVE your rants! They are so colorful, informative, full of wisdom, good humor and humility, which are a joy to listen to and learn from. Never a boring moment in this video. Thank you so much!!!
Hi Jason Can you please make a dedicated video about music production like composing and arranging a song. I have started composing nowadays. The problem i am having is that i change chord too frequently whereas i have a feeling that i should be staying on a chord a little longer and create melody on that chord.. but my chord changes happens quite fast. Which makes my chorus or verse ends very quickly. I hope i made my point clear. Plz give any suggestion. Thanks🙏👍
I really like the way you detailed your musical journey, at first wanting to do it your own way, to realizing the value of doing things in a different, perhaps more traditional way. I think you can help me a great deal, so I subscribed.
Above all these insanely important best practices/life journey you teach us.. You and your artistry in making the keys talk inspire us to learn piano and to hold on to learning more than anything Jason.. Highly inspired by every video of yours... Thanks and God bless... Rezi..👍🏅🎆😎 Please keep on teaching and enable learning a habit to all your followers....

Over time, your brain learns these notes just like our eyes see colours. So it becomes a clash of the sense organs! Also, playing on multiple scales is essential as a keyboard player and musician in general

Thanks so much for your generous contribution!
thanks
You're welcome Amit!
Thanks. will you recommend a beginner to put efforts to learn to play the piano without looking at the keys?
Absolutely! At least for Inversions. It should be possible as long as your positions don't change much. Will also help in focussing on your Ears more!
Thank u Jason sir ... Transpose should avoide we should learn all scales really I liked it tq
Welcome 👍
Hi Jason Can you please suggest on the midi controller 88 keys SL studio vs alturia vs M AUdio vs Roland
All works great except M-Audio in my opinion! But for feel, I love Roland!
I'm legitimately concerned about leaning on the transpose button, but I didn't quite understand how it be ame a problem for you
Over time, your brain learns these notes just like our eyes see colours. So it becomes a clash of the sense organs! Also, playing on multiple scales is essential as a keyboard player and musician in general
Quick question..
The unlimited music resource for rs 8000/-
Is that valid for just 30 days?
You could do the Structured Video courses. It's about Rs.2000 per month
👍
Not sure how some buggers can dislike such videos too..
Jason: I can’t just sit around and play Dream Theater
Me: me either, as in CANNOT play Dream Theater 😐
