Notice how when he stabbed Common he gave him the option to leave the blade in, saving his life. Later in the movie he stabs Ruby Rose in the same location, and pulls the knife out, robbing her of that chance. Not a big deal, but just a cool thing I've noticed on repeat watches.
I think the guy was stabbed gonna die either way. The blood pressure in the aota is really high, blood will gulf out like a stream. If he miraculously has a fully equipped doctor right there, he may survive, other than that, he die in a few minutes
You should watch him do the taran tactical training for this role. This movie shows what happens when a stuntman writes a movie for stuntmen to play in and the main role is taken seriously and the person trains for it.
I started shooting USPSA in 2016 right about the time that video came out and you have no idea how hyped the competition shooting crowd was for this movie because this wasn't typical Hollywood crappy gun play this was our sport on the big screen.

I forgot how stylistic this movie was. They did some great shots and paid attention to the detail they put into it. The Director really knows how to put together great environments with perfect action. Keanu has done so well to train for these movies.

The thing about these movies is that the entire culture knows what a badass he is, witnesses him just ripping through people like a chainsaw through soft butter and they just keep on a comin. You'd think a few of those `minions` would take their chances against their boss, if their boss manages to survive. However. I still love these movies. The choreography alone is stunning.
Its all about potential reward. You kill John Wick, you'll be rewarded. Turn on your boss, you get nothing even if you survive - because John doesn't have the resources to reward anyone even if he wanted to. Not to mention I think a lot of the lower level goons seem unaware of his legend, only the higher ups and John's peers really knew him.

However, it’s still so good. -I love how they expanded the John Wick world by introducing the High Table and it being more than just New York. -Ian MacShane is so good as Winston. -I will never not love “Seven million dollars? DAMN! It’s Christmas. We going to Applebee’s after this one.” -The 3rd one is insane. It starts right where this one ends. The ending still gets me even after having seen it twice in the theatre, multiple times on Blu Ray, as well as any time it’s on cable. Afterwards, you MUST see the trailer for Chapter 4.

With the first 2, they crafted the world slowly by introducing elements. In Chapter 3, it’s not unfair to say they throw you in the deep end expecting the audience into the deep end. However, as we now know, it had to build to the events of Chapter 4.
I was honestly hoping at the end when they did the flash mob freeze in the park...I wanted to see just one guy in the background slow down and look around at everyone like "what the hell are you all doing?"
"But he can. Ill see you soon John." Could be a play on words, as Santino could both be talking about the Grenade launcher, and the HE (High Explosive) rounds he used. Maybe I'm looking into this too much, but that was clever writing.
The fight with Cassian is definitely drawn out to establish his skillz, but also to showcase the staircase stunt, which is the new stunt record holder for farthest fall down a staircase

So bullet resistant clothing does exist usually in the form of a winter coat. It is not meant to take that level of rounds. It’s only job is to take the first round or two and give you time to get out. That is to say nothing of bruising, broken ribs, or blunt force trauma because your body is still absorbing the kinetic energy. Still pain does mean your alive to feel it.
Originally the movie also had scenes of John with a cardinal from the Vatican, but was cut out because the Director thought it might be too controversial. There are many layers to John Wick's world. Another great movie to see with Common and Keanu is Street Kings

The guy in the subway he lays down next to and hands the coin to, was a reference the director asked Keanu Reeves to make to a photograph that went viral of Keanu Reeves laying down to a homeless man on the street and talking to him about his life because he felt that the man needed some human deceny from another human as opposed to being looked down upon by the other people around him.
You are really going to love part 3. It's got more action and gore. The cinematography and choreography are beautiful. John Wick is at his best and most brutal. Loved the reaction alot.
Keanu trained with a famous competition shooter named Taran Butler for this movie and a video of him training went viral among the shooting community then with all of the John Wick fans. I started shooting competitively about the time that video came out and the competition shooting community were so hyped for this movie because we had never seen an actor put in that much work to make the gun play look that badass while still being realistic.
Unsure if u knew this but the training he went through for John wicks films was intense. He now knows how to shoot accurately in many different forms and many many weapons
I like how the manager of the Rome Continental asks if John is there for the Pope, because John is one of the only people capable of actually pulling it off.
Fun fact: keaneu Reeves was driving the car in that jump that turned into the drift so cause there was too much time for someone to spot a stun double. he also practiced getting hit by that cab. He lifts his legs up at the last second to make it appear that he was hit.

What's crazy is Keanu is really that good with firearms. He trained with some of the best to make the shooting scenes seem more real. You should look up some of the videos of him training. It will impress you.
The way he checked the 1911 to make sure it's chambered is a single handed press check...easiest way to check. He learned that from his tactical training but it's fairly common in the IDPA world.
Yeah, they're rated for 9mm copper jacketed rounds below something like 1300fps or so. They don't stop rifle rounds like that, tho, and certainly not that many of 'em. But it's still a very impressive technology, and worn in combination with a level III+ vest, it's VERY effective. I don't know if it's the same company that makes the level IIIA & III bookbags & suitcases, but maybe?

they do have suits that can stop bullets, but They would never stand up to being shot that many times. Those suits have what is called soft body armor in them, If you wanna live though multi shots you need a hard plate. lev 3a or 4. Then again there are rifle rounds and pistol rounds that can get though them.

After having seen John Wick, you should now watch the short comedy video 'Pitch Meeting' 'John Wick'. It is a monologue where the comedian is playing two different roles. He has over 300 of them now, but the one for John Wick is my personal favorite. Even people who haven't seen the movie laugh their heads off, and it is even funnier if you have seen John Wick. Once Peter stormare got his Beard. He was never ever again alowed to shave it. His Beard makes him fit in most roles. And that he is Swedish makes it nice
Making suits like that is possible, they have done it on RUclips. They just look slightly thicker, like winter suits, and if you get shot, it will hurt. A lot. Like being hit full force with a baseball bat from a professional player. But the bullet won’t go through, especially if you’re also wearing a similar waistcoat.
He honors the marker which means anything the person carrying the marker wants, he has to do. However, (I won't give any spoilers for Parabellum) nothing is above the High Table, not even a marker. So, theoretically, you could use a marker to put a hit on someone on the High Table, but it is extremely difficult to do. Think of it like... the High Table is the owner of McDonalds, and everyone who is an assassin is a fat guy that enjoys Bic Macs. The fat guy enjoys Big Macs, so he wouldn't attack the CEO of McDonalds.

And second, it would allow Last Rites to be performed on her as she is Catholic and suicide is an unforgiveable offense. 2) The wound John gave Cassian, the stab to the aorta was the same as the one he gave Ares (Ruby Rose), the only difference is that John gave Cassian warning of what would happen if he removed the blade while John personally removed the blade from Ares. 3) you didn't need to correct yourself when you called Blantons a whiskey instead of a bourbon. Whiskey is the category, Bourbon is the subcategory. You basically just got more specific.

Brilliant reaction video (as usual), your reactions and commentary make me feel as if I am watching the film for the first time. As a side note, the quality of the video is also very high, editing techniques used by other channels sometimes spoil the video, yours however do not, well done to the whole team. Unfortunately though, dressing up like the belle of the ball is a little distracting, but in a good way.
People say "Why have rules? They're criminals anyway." That's literally the meaning of organized crime, like mafias and such. They have a structure to commit specific crimes that they specialize in. That's why there's usually deeper roots with criminal activity, like mafias paying off cops while street crimes probably wouldn't be able to be as deep. Killing his sister is scummy, only to say he could never do it. Of course, this is about direct involvement. I remember something about bombers doing what they do because they can't see their victims as easily as a soldier on foot. This is similar to my argument against Anita Sarkeesian about the trafficking victims in Watch Dogs being present and viewed vs just having them mentioned. I say there would be less of an emotional connection if you don't see the victims themselves. Even if killing somebody at the table may be worse than the marker. It's like being a Christian, but obeying your father to commit a sin. Disobeying is a sin, but so is the sin itself. Can't think of a better example at the moment. I was confused at first about Ruby Rose, but later realized that Santonio is trying to kill Wick with the excuse that it's "vengeance." I miss basic details sometimes. May be why I don't mind shit people hate on, even if justified for the hate.
Fun Fact: Keanu Reeves is so well versed in tactical shooting, he's been remarked as being as good, if not better than some special forces who have ran the same courses he's done in firing and tactical shooting drills.

Making suits like that is possible, they have done it on RUclips. They just look slightly thicker, like winter suits, and if you get shot, it will hurt. A lot. All the John Wick movies are masterpieces
He honors the marker which means anything the person carrying the marker wants, he has to do. However, (I won't give any spoilers for Parabellum) nothing is above the High Table, not even a marker. So, theoretically, you could use a marker to put a hit on someone on the High Table, but it is extremely difficult to do. Think of it like... the High Table is the owner of McDonalds, and everyone who is an assassin is a fat guy that enjoys Bic Macs. The fat guy enjoys Big Macs, so he wouldn't attack the CEO of McDonalds.

1) The probable reason why John shot Gianna was twofold. First, it was a way of verifying the kill. And second, it would allow Last Rites to be performed on her as she is Catholic and suicide is an unforgiveable offense.
2) The wound John gave Cassian, the stab to the aorta was the same as the one he gave Ares (Ruby Rose), the only difference is that John gave Cassian warning of what would happen if he removed the blade while John personally removed the blade from Ares.
3) you didn't need to correct yourself when you called Blantons a whiskey instead of a bourbon. Whiskey is the category, Bourbon is the subcategory. You basically just got more specific.

Brilliant reaction video (as usual), your reactions and commentary make me feel as if I am watching the film for the first time. As a side note, the quality of the video is also very high, editing techniques used by other channels sometimes spoil the video, yours however do not, well done to the whole team. Unfortunately though, dressing up like the belle of the ball is a little distracting, but in a good way.

People say "Why have rules? They're criminals anyway." That's literally the meaning of organized crime, like mafias and such. They have a structure to commit specific crimes that they specialize in. That's why there's usually deeper roots with criminal activity, like mafias paying off cops while street crimes probably wouldn't be able to be as deep.
Killing his sister is scummy, only to say he could never do it. Of course, this is about direct involvement. I remember something about bombers doing what they do because they can't see their victims as easily as a soldier on foot. This is similar to my argument against Anita Sarkeesian about the trafficking victims in Watch Dogs being present and viewed vs just having them mentioned. I say there would be less of an emotional connection if you don't see the victims themselves.
Even if killing somebody at the table may be worse than the marker. It's like being a Christian, but obeying your father to commit a sin. Disobeying is a sin, but so is the sin itself. Can't think of a better example at the moment.
I was confused at first about Ruby Rose, but later realized that Santonio is trying to kill Wick with the excuse that it's "vengeance." I miss basic details sometimes. May be why I don't mind shit people hate on, even if justified for the hate.

It isn't actually the case, in a interview with the artist behind the tattoo design had, they said that the tattoo's actual meaning comes from the Rules of Chekhov's Gun, "Fortune will come to save the strong ones."
Literal translation I think would be “fortune helps the strong”

But if you put "Fortune will come to save the strong ones" and "fortune helps the strong" side by side. They are almost identical with the exception of some minor changes in the wording.
The difference is I'm taking the artist designer's interview statement behind the tattoo versus an actual literal translation from the Latin Language.

The entire scene with him preparing for the Assasnation at the party is probably one of greatest scenes cinema. Specifically with Somalia (I don't know how it's spelled.)
