I just want to say, this video helped me actually enjoy the game more. I was become frustrated and disillusioned because my runs were seeing only tiny levels of gain. So thank you!
I'm glad you mentioned Repurposed Mining Shaft, it's often overlooked but is much more efficient than the regular gold gain upgrade. They made it even cheaper in 1.0 as well.
(if I remember correctly) if you have the pacifist trait and you take a weapon from the curio shop you gain access to all your attacks again AND keep the gold bonus
Hey, this is a perfect chance to reply since I cant message directly: He changed the name of the video after feedback from the comments section here in this video. To be honest he has great advice and if your new to the game it will be VALUABLE help for you in the future (even if he is flexing his mad gamer skilz on us lol) So hey Haelian way to listen to feedback from the community, keep up the good work man, and hope you hit a mill one day soon.
People are complaining about not making a lot of money from this guide, and point out his NG level. But keep in mind, the Manor costs scale and increase in price. So in NG+ 12 or 13, your Manor upgrades might cost 10000k+ per upgrade. In a full run, I earn about 7mil gold, and I can barely upgrade anything. So if you're ng0, then you won't earn as much gold, because the Manor, Rune, and Armor shop are cheap. This is a great guide and really does tell you what to do to gain more gold in a run. Great guide man!
Another tip: Don't rush to get too far too quickly. Example: I am currently at New Game +1. In a full run, I make more cash than Haelian did in his first run. And the danger is almost non-existent.
@@ratsarereal No, yeah, I get that. And to be fair, his base stats and passive rock. I'm always happy to see a Contrarian Boxer. It's just funny that the optimal Boxer build essentially consists of getting rid of everything Boxer about him.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Thought it was some easy way to get money. But the man’s level 505 on NG+6. He makes more money in the first area than I ever have in a single run where I go through all of the rooms I can.
Damn, 20 minutes of just beginner tips and tricks. He might as well just said: “wanna make money? Just be on New Game + (6)” Great video, but needs a re-name
That's fair so I've renamed the video. Some people have been asking me why I don't just farm the zones with easy characters for money so having a video to "prove" it's better per minute to take the massive traits felt natural.
If you get a weapon with a pacifist, you lose the no dmg passive, so it becomes a gigantic boost for 60% less hp
This is huge intel. Thanks for sharing!
That actually sounds like a bug, wouldn’t be surprised if that’s patched out at some point.
@@ieToastie It's not a bug. It actually changes the name of the trait to Pacifier when you get a weapon, so it's clearly intentional.
I was in so much pain watching him pass over those gloves.
Shit.. thank you. I've always avoided pacifists

I love that you are playing RL 2 now, please more of this
The Pacifist can be good but I like it when you find a weapon so you can keep the bonus and still take down some enemies.
Thanks for all the hints and tips on his video!
I'm a new to this game, you have made this so much easier for me to play thank-you!!!

@@imravegod you can just ignore enemies and run around collecting chests
@@imravegod no just avoid them, you can travel between rooms without killing the enemies
Can anyone explain how you get runes +1 onwards ? I been playing for hours and not seen one drop, bought the upgrade from the soul shop too
newgame plus
hey i just wanted to let you know that after watching you play this game on your channel here I put over 100 hours into it. thanks!
Can you tell me how to remove the 9999 gold limit. It looks like the maximum amount of gold I can take is 9999.
Don't play on cracked version, only beta have limit of 9999.... the 1.0 is out for few days now....
@@brunoscotto4549 thanks!
@@renqi1388 and if you hit a gold limit after that, you can just upgrade the safe of course.
11:40 I actually had no idea about that.
Arming the pacifist with a different weapon let's you deal damage, serious missed opportunity.
Was thinking same thing, many people spend the he entire run on pacifist looking for a new weapon
@@jonathanchapple9651 That sounds like an oversight.
Woops had no idea
How do you guarantee that you find a weapon? Some runs I don’t seem to find any, do they always show up?
Whaaaaaa? How am I only learning this now?!
How is Lv 505 "beginner"?

My complain about rogue legacy 2 is that you have to farm way too much to progress in this game
I just think of it as you farm a lot to make the game easier, difficulty goes down with how much you put into farming.
*shuffles uncomfortably, having beaten the game on a level 1 character*
@@imravegod the heirlooms refill your hp and mana entirely, so it's possible if you already know the pattern of the game bosses as well

how to unlocking top coin box? what level do I need to unlock this?
Just keep unlocking things upward basically.

I was so mad you didn't go back ti the gold relic in the last run. lol
Lol Haelian is a true Roguelike/Roguelight player but I would be happy to school him for the platforming.
How come every few enemies drop a huge amount of gold is that an upgrade or gear perhaps?
Nah enemies to randomly drop gold some times, it looks like a lot for these runs because the gold modifiers are so high.
@@Haelian Thanks, loving the videos keep it up!
the enemies drop more gold on new game +. The higher the level of NG+ the more gold you get
if you use the boxer ditch his weapon asap and hopefully find a scyth. Also ditch his talent.

After I die in a run where does all my gold go?
You have to spend as much as you can before you start another run because Charon takes whatever you have when you leave the docks.
And stuff like that you know
