Looking at the manner Kalle takes the car into the corners and the way he makes the car work for him without any unnecessary movements tells that he is already a capable driver for more serious track series.
Would love to see him breakthrough to F1 Roster with any team. This guy not only knows speed he knows speed in danger being a rally driver. Rally drivers are craziest, starting with manual gearbox then switching to pedal shifters nowadays, it would be natural to transition for him.
Formula 1 has continuously had at least one Finnish driver for almost 40 years. Now, when Bottas retires as a racing driver, Rovanperä drives Formula 1. Not necessarily GPs, but F1 always needs at least one Finn somewhere!
It would benefit all in world of racing! Rovanperä getting F1 seat from Rally like couple other F1 drivers have got WRC seat from F1. This would signal IndyCar as well! So many talented drivers out there, but the system is not the best. Rovanperä's manager even said he would not get into TOP 10 in F1, but if he got comfortable in F1 car, he would definitely be there. Just like in rally car. Kalle got rally and drifting skills already and now pushing to track skills. Also got mechanical skills what most F1 drivers are lacking. In importance of driving under good rules. And not being dirty driver. Pure skill! Its what I want to see in F1.
If a couple of wins in a regional single-make series (not even the highest level of the Porsche Cup series) makes one F1-ready then why aren't we talking about dozens of other far more qualified Porsche Cup series winners and champions as next F1 talents? Think about it a bit more realistically.

Kalle is easily one of the top 10 drivers in the world right now, full stop. That's an inarguable fact. And to be honest, he's in my top 5. A natural at anything he tries, a young man living the dream.
It would be a long road for him to get to F1, but I honestly think he should just do it. WRC is dying, and he already took the championship twice. He's only 22, he can make it.
He's probably the highest payed WRC driver at the moment, and trying to get into F1 he would need to quit WRC. racing F3 and F2 is ridiculously expensive and I don't think his chances to get into F1 would be wery big, let alone getting into F1 car that's capable of winning. Those guys in F1 started racing at around age of 6 and they are the best circuit racers in world.

@@saabviggen4069 The thing with circuit racing is that all your competition is hyper-focused on specializing in open wheelers and have done so for a long time. No matter how much talent there is and ability to absorb new things quickly, there is still a gap. I'm not saying that it isn't possible, far from it, but it would take a lot more intense focus to close the gap with a singular purpose. In rallying one corner might not matter so much if there are a thousand more, circuit racing is more focused on shaving every tenths of a second from every corner since there are so few to make the time in. In rallying you have to be willing to compromise sometimes due to length and changing conditions.
@@IlkkaPrusi it's more complicated switching from "circuit style" to "rally style" (in terms of world championship competitions). Keep in mind that F1 drivers are not the most skilled people who can drive an open wheel car...the most important thing in F1 is the amount of money you can assure to your team.

Checo Perez should sit in Kalle Rovanperä's rally car for a day to understand what it takes to drive a powerful rally car on narrow roads without protection areas. You can't make mistakes. You can't swerve if you make a mistake at the apex or leave the braking too late.

Sure, it is a Red Bull sponsor thing. But we also know he enjoys and wants to keep doing more circuit racing. Although I do find it extremely unlikely he would ever drive in F1, but I think a top class prototype drive could be in the realm of possibility one day.
Red Bull is sponsoring Kalle, so giving a driving session to some unknown person is not a good PR stunt. After all, you can book yourself an F1 experience, and it costs about a couple of thousand dollars with an older car.
