Kana is definitely good, very tough and can hang in the ring but a worked-shoot like this requires a lot of suspension of disbelief. At one point she took a straight right to the jaw and got back up, even if it wasn't mixed gender if one fighter who outweighs his opponent by at least 30 pounds hits his opponent like that it should knock him out.
Exactly! Some people lose their mind because it's woman vs man match. Kana has high in ring abilities (just like any other good wrestler), she can deliver fun to watch moves and sell her opponents moves (just as any other good wrestler), she is has high stamina (just as any other good wrestler) and is no afraid to take a hit or a bump (just as any other good wrestler). In this match her opponent is not female wrestler, but a male wrestler. Who cares? They delivered a fun to watch, entertaining match. Congrats to both of them.
And I am not an indy mark or anything, all WWE fan right here and it is fun watching Kana kick butt especially with the males. These stupid idiots "no pun intended" who complain either missing a lobe of their brain or stupid just comes natural to them. She is the whole reason I watch NXT because of in ring work like this. I mean, yeah in Japan, sometimes male wrestlers will be selfish about it and not even sell for their female opponents and the female wrestlers might restrain themselves a bit to ensure they get a beating because that's what they consider their rite of passage to be a legend (still really weird for me because of the dom/sub dynamic) but at the end of the day, they're matches that are full of spirit and drive because they're real matches from equal opponents. I mean, they were technical as hell at it too. It showcases their skills and is entertainment. Both fighters earn my respect.

after watching this a couple of times I think it looks more brutal that it actually is, it's well choreographed and it's down to their training and wearing of padded leggings and boots in how they make it look real, but saying that some of the hits must have hurt her.
I have been trained as a wrestler for about a year now, and i can tell you that this type of stuff isn't choreographed, the major points in the match would have been talked through backstage though. Also the strikes really do hurt, both these guys would have been bruised after this match. Kana is so great.
