I don't think 2248 is the source for that whistle. the first clip of the 4-8-4s in desert empire (if i remember correctly, they are m-68 classes) most likely used the first engine's star brass 5 chime (which i believe is drgw 1801). for the second clip, (idk what number) the whistle most likely came from that same 9000 class. 2248's whistle was never used in any media, besides being a trainz whistle.

Durango and Silverton 481 has a similar whistle to the one 4466 had in the clip you showed

I remember once my sister 841 had a star brass 5 chime but that was 70 years ago so -_-
