  • Making progress on the restoration. All PS voltages checked OK except for the -270V rail that measured -202 volts. Nearly 70 volts below spec. This is probably due to a dried up and/or leaky 10uF electrolytic cap. To be continued...

    Thanks for sharing. Good to know about the fix to your 10B's bass issue. The unit I am restoring on this video was badly corroded, so I will make sure I check RPW-13. I have had this project shelved because of family matters and I hope I can resume working on it this year. Greetings and enjoy that beautiful tuner!

    Hi Crooner 2007,
    I have been reading your web stuff for years about the Marantz 7, 8b and 10b with interest.
    I have, for two years, been battling a problem with my beloved, mint shape 10b tuner. Very gravely sounding bass problem, after sounding fantastic the first two years I owned it.
    I have replaced ALL the electrolytic capacitors, the optocouplers, and subbed out all the tubes, and still problem persisted.
