One important thing for paincage or any other place, during his 2nd phase when he does the whirlwind whip attack, the second part of it hits behind him first, it is indicated by the white outline behind him just as in 7:09
The only boss I have a hard time fighting, he moves too quick + hits like a truck ..his patterns are predictable but if you miss.. you're already dead I'm talking about stronghold level though ,

@@minhhongzheng9908 If I remember correctly, the hitbox of some of his attacks is not intuitive at all. That's why I was taking damage even though apparently I hadn't gotten hit.
Don't worry, your golden rule won't work against future boss as well. They forced you to made calculated and precise dodge with 0 tolerance in failure.
Idk but I have this weird theory that Roland is actually a split reconstructed version of Watanabees Best friend Bruce who died protecting Bianca and her people of the church while they were On a rescue mission.. Well of course this is just a crazy weird theory but It kinda seems familiar the grey hair and stuff
Either you out-damage his healing... Or just turn on "Support" when you're in "Battle Preparations". High level supports from other players will make the boss fight easy as pie.
note 1: if you get close to him at the beginning of the fight, he does two horizontal slashes, and then dodges past you and does the gunshot. note 2: if you get hit by the spiral attack, Roland will pull you towards him dealing consecutive damage until he stops. (HOW COULD YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN THAT PART REX)

@@flixer5614 I eventually beat him, but 1/3 times i still got hit while visually dodging the bullet. Maybe my phone was just to shit to run it properly, it was kind of laggy for me. Anyway, dropped the game almost a year ago now, it was fun gameplay but it became to monotone.
o.o i kicked his ass while using a healer char and lower than his bp by more than 1000 , the game overall was pretty easy if u played honkai impact or simliar games with dodge mechanic so for me this game was really easy if it wasnt for the time i could clear every single stage in the game no matter how hard the boss is with a lvl 1 char
He's a complete as***le when you fight him for the first time, but when you play as him, it feels so satisfying

facts, my team ( B Nanami, B Liv, S Bianca Zero ) has 1400-1600 BP and i still got decimated.

This is useful if you're in mele range and standing behind him, optimal is standing beside him but even then sometimes he still hits you.

I found musashi is way easier than roland. His attack sometimes slow as a snail and sometimes fast as lightning. It really messed up with my pace.
