Gotta be honest this was probably the best show you guys ever had. When something so silly happens in theater it's usually much more entertaining than whatever you actually practiced was.
I'm a sound designer/stage technician and according to our audience one of the funniest shows was when someone fucked up and forgot to add glasses of drinks on stage for the scene and in spur of the moment the actor just yelled in-character ''Hey audio guy,can I get a drink or something?'' and I just walked next to her like I owned the place with a cup of coffee in hand,started drinking it and said ''I didn't study how to be a technician for 4 years just to serve actors coffee.'' and then walked back to my desk.

Oh hey I also played Tweedle Dum in my school's production and was injured during a show! Our fight costumes were basically smocks with a lot of random objects attached to them. One of my objects was a medium sized wooden picture frame, and as I ran backstage after the scene, the frame bounced against my leg and hit me square in the crotch. Thankfully I had a bit of time until my next scene, and the show went off well, but it Was Not Fun.

I remember desperately trying to avoid as much human interaction as possible throughout all of school, and I somehow managed to stay almost completely invisible (with the exception of the counselors, who thought I was suicidal for some reason). That is, until I found myself in speech class.
Of course, I asked for a schedule change on day one, but the system took several weeks to update. Which means, for the next three weeks, I was stuck in the very thing I was trying to avoid since kindergarten.
Unsurprisingly enough, I can't remember the details of what happened in those three weeks, but I do remember discovering four things. First, brutally short deadlines are the best way for me to not immediately scrap the foundation of an idea. Second, public speaking is much less stressful if I hide behind a character. Third, I met a very good friend (however, I have since completely forgotten who they were or what they look like). And apparently, I make for a mildly entertaining supervillain (or at least enough to get a hollow, meaningless applause from my peers).

My teacher chose Alice for the Fall Show, and The Wiz for the Spring Show. I was and Oz Citizen and the Mayor Munchkin. It was a lot of fun and I ironically was a great friend and supporter of Evilline, whose actress was also Cheshire Cat in Alice, which was the first play I had seen before, and then all 4 of the Wiz performances, and finally Hamilton.

Well, we did 2 nights.
This year my school did the musical Chicago and there was supposed to only be 4 performances of it... but then the tickets sold out completely for ALL of the shows in the first 4 to 5 days of ticket sales being up and lots of people were complaining they wanted to see it too because it looked AMAZING. SO I asked my drama teacher about it and she said they were showhorning in another 5th showing on Sunday night which was not supposed to happen but it did. I got tickets to that showing and it was FUCKIN AMAZING. It was the most successful show my school has had in a long time and rightfully so. THE SET HAD SECRET LIGHTS THAT CAME ON AT THE END WHILE THE MAIN GIRLS WALKED DOWN THESE STAIRS IN THEIR RAZZLE DAZZLEY DRESSES WITH FAKE GUNS THEN THEY PULLED A THING AND THE GUNS SHOT CONFETTI AT THE FRONT FEW ROWS. IT WAS AMAZING. I was very excited about it.

Well, that definitely tops my crazy theatre story. But I'm going to tell it anyway. This is the tale of the Vodka Incident.
It was my first semester of uni, and our Drama 100 final was a group performance. Me and my scene partner (let's call her Maggie) did an excerpt from an Australian play called The Emerald City, which has no relation to The Wizard of Oz. During the scene, Maggie tells me that her book has just been nominated for an award, and I respond with, "What? That piece of junk? Really?" And I had the idea that as she says her line, I should take a sip from a coffee mug and spit-take at the news.
On the day of the performance, though, she brings a bottle of vodka. However, being the naive autistic kid from a Christian high school that I was, I didn't know what vodka was supposed to look like and thought she was just using it as a water bottle. But when I took that sip, well... Let's just say the spit-take was infinitely more realistic than in rehearsal. And my mouth was still burning afterwards, but I somehow managed to not break character and power through it.
That was the first and last time I tasted alcohol.

1. “You’re”, not “your” . Well, in that situation. But it is a common mistake even for regular English speakers.
2. You put an “a” after the “at” . That doesn’t matter much, though. Doesn’t affect your message at all.
...so I’d say you’re pretty good at English. Keep up the great work ... or don’t .
In all honesty, when something goes wrong in a show you sometimes get the best moments. My freshman year we put on the little mermaid, and there was a scene with six princesses convincing Eric that she was the one he loved. But when Ariel showed up on stage (around the time we were supposed to get off) her dress's skirt was falling off. Two girls stood in front of her, one girl behind her fixing her dress and the rest of us couldn't really think of what to do to draw attention from ariel. So we just started yelling at prince Eric and grimsby. We were stressed af but ariel made it out okay.
Every year when I do a play, I always get the part of a boy because my voice is lower than most of the guys, since non of them have really hit puberty. But I actually like it because it gives me a good opportunity to work on playing different characters.
Jill Moore I wish I would get male roles. Because everyone around me turns 17 or 16 this year everyone is already done with puberty. So no male roles for me, well except when we don't have enough male actors. Because right now there are around 5 boys in our musical group. And 38 girls.

Oh i do drama club every single year (I’m in middle school it’s not called theater it’s drama) and i am only good at improv bc the drama club teacher actually promotes improv and changing the script for no reason. It is honestly quite confusing but it makes it fun and unique :3 btw we are doing the Addams family. (I’m Wednesday Addams and am definitely gonna trip and fall or something-)
