@@theatvfamily I just did the first run on the same zee lipos you’re running but in 100c. And yeah. Great power, definitely need some tweaking in the handling department though… at least for asphalt
Oh wait.. How did you move the rear shock on the rear of the mount on the RTR? Very helpful video. Probably the closest gap to a kit for either 1/8 buggy or truggy..
I am doing very similar to my RTR. I put associated B3.2 shocks on mine along with the pro shock towers. The rtr plastic caps are too wide to put the bushings in without modifying something but in the process, I found that the little black metal bushings that come with servos fit inside the 4mm holes on the gold shock tower to put the 3mm screws on the pro or in my case associated mounts to center the screws well, if that helps anyone upgrading shocks with the stock towers.
I just get my serpent Rtr but wondering the pro kit is lot better than the RTR or just slight better .the pro kit is so expensive .I mean to get those exclude part to build .
@@theatvfamily thank you...SINCERELY appreciate your videos....do you find the stock electronics to be alot slower than the Reedy stuff is? Are you using the 13T pinion?
@@jacobbiltz5445 i still havent been able to get the pro kit on the track. with it being hot then we had some issue with the local park closing due to constructions that took months but we should be getting back to it real soon to do some comparison. just trying to let the heat die down some. its extremely hot here during the days
so if I bought the RTR car like yours and wanted to upgrade shock towers, do I have to upgrade arms, camber links, shocks and everything front and rear then? Does this car offer a single battery config instead of the side by side? Thanks
Yea you would have to upgrade the who front end totally. And to do single batter you would have to buy the drive shafts to do so and the tray. I haven’t seen the single tray available but never looked for it either.
So i just received my rtr nitro version. And found some pro or kit shock towers on the bay but for e version. So i cant swap shocks by themselves i have to swap everything else?
@@theatvfamily sorry meant shock towers . But I thought you meant other stuff had to as well like a arms and such. But might not even the stocks are pretty decent
I was worried when I purchased the kit almost returned it but I'm glad I didn't it's a very nice kit only thing is is a radio is poo poo dung dung which we all know second I don't know if anybody knows would you happen to know what weight oil is in the shocks this thing is stiff as my back and I'm only 47
I’m not sure why the stock has been like that. It would seem maybe they are revising or maybe it’s just low stock. They have had this model for a long while so it would be due for a revamp.
I have the Kit version. LOVE it! material quality is amazing. Going to stick with Serpent as well. I just hope they continue parts support.
Great info I needed as someone scared to buy the rtr due to fear of poor parts availability
@@BAYRAKTAR_MAN it is a really good car!!!
Did you feel power was lacking with the original motor and esc on the rtr?
@@BAYRAKTAR_MAN not at all!!

I just bought the Serpent RTR Cobra Truggy. Thanks for your videos on the Serpent stuff.
Yeah I’m looking into that as well

What are the pro shock towers?

How hard is it to build the Kit? Maybee a video on everything needed to build it?? Love your channel!
It’s not all that hard. Like most all other kits. They are pretty much all the same. Fun build for the most part

it looks like the arms between the two are wider on the pro versus the rtr...maybe that's why the shocks are a bit longer?
Yeah they are slightly different
