Managing Linux Resource Access with ulimit

You can be assured that a users perspective of shared resources are very different to your ideas of the same. If you serve a server with 24 cores then surely those cores are for the sole use of the user! We need to maintain the availablility of the server and its resources by ensuring a user cannot access more resources than are good for them. From the administrators view point this is where we use ulimit and the limits.conf file.

Nice one. That's a blast from the past I remember ulimit from my time administrating Ibm aix unix systems hahha haven't used on Linux to be honest. It's nice to be reminded greetings from the Netherlands

For some reason lutris asked me to increase my -c limit
