Owner of Jawa 42 2.1. Here. Major issue 1) Bike scratches below often. And if there is a pillion it will scratch below whenever you go over a speed breaker or a pothole in road. 2) The liquid cooling fan makes loud humming noise like anything. First couple of days I used to think as if a siren in buzzing in somewhere distant. Was later pointed out by my wife that it’s the cooling fan. 3) It’s a Girlfriend bike. Means the rider and pillion sit too close to each other. I don’t have this problem in my other bikes like Int650 or classic350. Bahot chipak ke baithate rider aur pillion. Girlfriend ko ghumane ke liye Acchi hai!!! 4) Gears Are short spaced. Means like RE you can’t cruise ride watching scenery. You have to shift gears often. Lekin sabse Accha chiz hai is ka riding position. Love it totally.

Purchased on 11.06.2019 , 15 km drive, average 35 km in city, 38/ 39 km on Highway. Single day drive 550 km.Only issues regarding mud guards during rainy season and seat length.

The only problem with javas is that they look too small. A little more height and length would make them look a lot better and many more customers would come in

I purchased my jawa42 bike on 15-01-2020 from Dehradun,Uttrakhand,INDIA.Bike got major issues in engine two times in only 13000 km and after repairing still not working properly and your service manager is giving me additional bill of 25000 to 30000 for replacement of most of the parts of the bike. I want to know sir that I am spending 2 lakh on this bike and after 1 and half year I'll have to spend this much money on bike to make it work properly what kind of material is being used that bike is not working properly in just running of 13000 km. Facing worst service from jawa.
You need to claim Warranty on it if you have serviced on time from Authorised service centers. 2-3 saal ki warranty hogi bike pe aramse tou Claim karo na dost tumhari ghalti thodi hai ki you got defective Engine or Engine Parts.
Low ground clearance and seat is too small. The front light can be led or projector type. Engine light comes too soon. The bike looks small if your height is more. There are other options in jawa e g roadster, Perak but ground clearance is less there as well.
Test drive karne nikali forty two, piche se squid ne thoq dia, pura mud breaker Tod dala, badme showroom se total bill 8000. Bhai itni halki thokan se agar bike ki rear hi tut jae toh pata chal jata he ki kesi built quality hein..
Java motorcycle is absolutely shit.the spare are not available in the market .The service dealers are cheats .i have a perag ,one way bearing are not available .i have done only 16000 km ,10 months old .it will cost you Rs 10000 for the bearing including labour. Verdict - never Buy a Java Especially in kolkatta .The dealer doesn't care .

I rode 275 kms one side total 12K kms. Seat height low means more comfort easy to maneuvering.
