From the 1980-81 Topps set, the best rookie cards are the following numbers: 140 (Ray Bourque rookie, the best non-Gretzky card in the set), 195, 67, 31, 22, 39, 242. Other cards that are good are: 250, 3, 87, 162, 163, 182 (all Gretzkys, with a Z, not an S), 2, 25, 49. There are plenty of other HOFer cards in the set, but they're from much later in their careers, so not big dollar cards. As others have already said, the Gretzky is a 2nd year card, and don't scratch the black stuff off the cards!

I've never seen an unscratched 80-81 Gretzky that well centred and in such good condition. PSA 9s go for $1200-$2000.

The hockey cards have the players names on them. They're just hidden under a scratch off that Topps was experimenting with that year.

The black part was made to scratch off the puck- but don't, leave them alone. Use the checklists to find out who player is.

That Wayne Gretzky card is mint and worth $300 on ebay.. there is a card similar to it with his name in the puck for $50,, you have a black puck with no name. $$$$😮

Yeah if as a scratch off idea Topps had and once you rub it off it looks horrible oddly the cards are worth more in the condition you have them in not scratched off and the condition looks great, set is 264 cards if you put a set together it could sell really well.
