- Best viewed in 60 fps. I'm player 1 and Mark is player 2. Note that I had to record the cutscenes separately, so there are a few inconsistencies when transitioning from gameplay. I plan to make another video of this game sometime later.

I'm starting to realize that the reason VAing in arcade games are bad is because the amount of ambient noise you hear in a decently-sized arcade means you'll rarely notice the bad VAing in general.
Not to mention the terrorists are making gibberish noises instead of speaking in English like in the previous Ghost Squad game

I believe he's the same guy from the previous game, Ghost Squad. Operation GHOST took place somewhere in the future, and it also covers the main goal and leader of the Indigo Wolf terrorist group

yoo dude same i used to play with my dad in the operation ghost game in the Toms world arcade but today now 2023 the workers of toms world are trying to fix the calibration on the 2nd player i tried player 1 but it needs calibration too, the only other arcade shooter game i see is time crisis 2
This game is HARDER compared to the original Ghost Squad
One does not simply, 1cc this without dying
You have no idea how hard this game without the button to do actions.
Some guy thought it was smart to rip off the buttons to do flash bangs, and dodge etc.
i saw one where one of the guns had the special button ripped and the other gun had a lock keeping the button from being ripped off
The one i recently played had no grip but the button at the grip is placed at the stock of the gun. It felt like i was adjusting the weapon rather than press the button

When you're against the second boss, "evade right before he tackles". Don't press action until the bar is near full (quarter full or eighth full).

Why is it that all rail shooters need to have silly voice acting you'd hear in a kid's show?
Because it's a arcade (casual) game whose only purpose is to deliver X minutes of fun to some random people of random ages on a noisy place where everyone is just concerned at having a quick fun time
Well yes but except for razing storm, the voices are manly and there is no swearing, but the main problem is that your allies root for you because of your good shooting, for example: "ALPHA 1, AWESOME" but some are a bit better, like "nice shooting, alpha 1",and also some can inform the squad that something dangerous just got taken down, like "alpha 1 just downed a raptor"
I kinda wish there were more games like this on arcades.
But, there were some bad game designs:
1 - Camera Sway: The gunfight is already bad enough, but the player has no control of the camera to be able to focus on the aim right and quick. The best example are some bossfights, including the RPG part at the very end. (I'll explain these below)
2 - Screen Hud: Futuristic and immersive, but the way it is displayed could make the enemies hide behind them. It's worse if they could attack the player within a second, without the player having the chance to aim upon reaction.
3 - Bossfight Quick Time Event: Dodging them is cool enough. The process to actually do it is dumb. It's hard to tell at what time you should press if you need to do it fast or slow in exact time. The consequences of failing is simply terrible camera sway. (Of course, the game did give you a time to recover, but then again "camera sway")
4 - Enemy's time to shoot: Every enemy has a time displayed to give players a chance to kill them before their time goes down. Since every enemy has that, it is hard to keep track of who to take down first. It's problematic when most enemies only has *1 second* for you to react fast before they shoot you accurately.
My conclusion? This game eats your credits more than you could have fun enjoying.
RTO (issue commands to teammates with Realtime Tactical Orders) also becomes less useful as the game goes on, and your allies become more useless too

Lol after u play it more than 10x u see a pattern and can actually clear the game with 1 or 2 credits only lmao
@@willjace789 Agreed on a large scale. The "good" (if you can even consider that) ending just shows the enemy helicopter shot down and that is it.

Man. I remember playing this a remembered how crap it felt.
It had some cool ideas, for reals, but gosh darn. The only way you can finish this 1cc is pure memorization without room for error.
That HUD is freakin terrible too. And the camera is facing the wrong way half of the time. The game lowered the difficulty on the third and fourth stages mainly because they thought no-one would get there but raised it up to stupid on the final stage when they realize there's that one(or two) special dude(s) who had a lot of dedication to spend more than 10 continues in this machine (that was me).
Now, I am glad for the timers on when you're gonna get hit, they're a godsend compared a constant problem House of the Dead has of not knowing if it's still feasible to deplete a lifebar to cancel an attack, and even then House of the Dead gave you more time. But dang, the timer concept for not taking damage loses its point if the enemy becomes accurate the moment they come into screen.
At least, this game has less randomness unlike the Time Crisis games(even the RNG there isn't absurd here too.).
A personal bias really, I prefer the Time Crisis games because besides a few random non-red enemies being accurate, you can learn which enemies that pop out of cover are accurate with enough patience. The Crisis flash helps too so long as you realize the Crisis flash signifies "incoming danger" and not necessarily "immediate danger." Basically learning the difference of an accurate thrown projectile/missiles and near-instant-hit bullets(which TC4 just right out highlights accurate attacks.)
At least in the Time Crisis games, you can dodge attacks by hiding. You cannot do it in this game.
Game requires precision and stamina considering how heavy the gun was in the arcades.
I still think it's pretty cool. I grew up with a pretty heavy bias in the Time Crisis series, but with these rifle based Rail Shooters, it really tests your stamina, precision, and reflex. As opposed with most handgun shooters with Precision and Reflex alone.
@@Spherehead123 Dunno what you mean about 'precision.' When the camera isn't even facing incoming attacks for a good majority of the gunfights. The 'endurance' argument can be rendered moot because I've encountered Time Crisis machines that replace the guncon with a heavier one(also the guncon made for this isn't that too much of a departure unlike from say like Razing Storm, which had an unnecessarily heavy guncon.)
The main argument stems that this game, like any arcade game is a quarter-muncher, while that's the point, the way it does it is kinda very mean spiriyed and gatekeep-y. This game is basically House of the Dead in terms of execution but with enemies that have hitscan weapons.
@@dracmeister yeah it's like you have to take a hit on most corner you take like tf how do you expect me to shoot multiple guys with 1 sec count down without getting hit, and dont even start me w/ single player.I tried it and I keep getting hit in boss fights because I always need to reload and my gun don't dmg it enough specially in the helicopter stage, two vehicles coming at me and how tf do they expect me to hit both of them. tho I did enjoy the game and I like the concept of different choices of paths and action like planting a claymore (if I know how to pick the choice tho, literally clickeng whatever i can just to pick it)

Well IMO Ghost squad is way easier and better, while O.G. is harder than that
Each team fills in the 3 major positions in a fight. Alpha is offense, Bravo is defense & Charlie is support.

Probably one of the last arcade lightgun games I loved. Not some brainless, infinite ammo bullet fest where you barely had to aim.

The game won't even let you have another chance at the final task, that's brutal.

In the fourth level where you chase the truck and have a machine gun with infinite ammo, I would always hold the light gun with one hand and hold the gun's tether like a belt of bullets while I am shooting, just like Rambo, whenever I play this at the arcade!

You can actually reload in the game by aiming outside the screen like the old Ghost Squad, but somehow it's never taught in the game.

So last night (7/2/19, 6:30PM my time) I played this game at our Gameworks for about 15 minutes and left.
Checking RUclips a little over 24 hours later and I have this video recommended to me. There is no way that's not a coincidence.

The camera would shake when they try to destroy the final boss's helicopter and due to the stinger mechanic in the game, if your crosshair accidentally move away from the helicopter while your trying to lock on it
, it'll give you reduced time to lock on the helicopter not to mention the amount of time given to destroy the heli before it flies away

Me and my brother have this technique we use in a boss fight, and the technique is that one player will focus on the cancel and the other player will focus on the weak spot. We have been using this technique for a while now and its very versatile and useful
god the guns (Scorpion EVOs) on this thing were too goddamn heavy
i also remember my dad having to go to the restroom and i dual-wielded the guns. tons of people watched me blindfire into the screen

I played this game in an arcade two days ago, and the moment i saw the first boss, i said "oh, this game is trying to metal gear solid so bad."

The hardest in this game is; Mission 1 at shoot with sniper and if you fail the guar will shoot you (Bravo 2) (The head and the crosshair)
