Her lawyers were awful! I feel like I could have done a better job defending her. Seriously, they dropped the ball at every single turn.
I listened to some of the trial recordings. It is so very sad. Johnny was definitely the victim. These recordings break my heart. I still am completely shocked how some people still think he was the abuser. They don't even have a clue what they are talking about. This and the other recordings sadden me so deeply. I am so glad he is not in this terrible situation anymore. He seems so much happier now. I am so happy for him.
Time and time again, Johnny tries to leave...not strike out at her. It's so obvious she's the abuser...not Johnny. She even recorded his pain while he was detoxing... NOT the act of a loving partner. She's evil personified.

NO recordings, texts, voicemails anything, in my opinion, should be allowed (in any court proceeding) to be presented to a jury unless the metadata is with it. That is b.s. right there, proving her intentional deception and manipulation of data, facts, evidence to suit herself. HOW is it legal to do that then refuse to provide the data that timestamps those videos?

Johnny was smart when he requested to put cameras and stream the trial for the public. He succeeded in exposing her to the world without even arguing with her directly.

@@katesimmions5227 exactly. So if all but one juror take Johnny's side it's called a hung jury. The judge can ask them to take more time to deliberate and come back unanimous or the judge can declare a mistrial or retrial. One juror disagreeing with the rest can make a person lose their case.

The last recording is the one that really shows the essence of their problems - neither is sober for one - but even so, she goads, she changes the subject, she refuses to listen, she changes the narrative left right and centre. Once he says he doesn't wanna be with her any more she changes tack - the manipulation is beyond! He can't get a word in, and she flits from one thing to another. No wonder he wants to get out and away from her, imagine being screeched at and bombarded like that - I'm tired just listening to it!!

Hey, I'm kind of late to the party. So, I'm just trying to catch up on bits and pieces in my spare time. Are you saying that all the recordings were done by Amber? Did JD record any?
Actually that's his but she knew it was being recorded. It's the same audio where the "pots and pans" and the "I didn't punch you. I hit you" clips came from. They agreed to record some arguments/discussions because each kept denying saying things afterwards. The whole 5 1/2 hour version is on RUclips and they do talk about physical altercations in it. I was bored enough yesterday to listen to the whole thing.
She sounds like she’s trying to convince him that things happen in the order and manner in which SHE describes…..there’s no back and forth. She doesn’t bend a bit….she’s TELLING him what happened and demanding he agree. It’s bizarre.

I’ve never seen a more one-sided public perception to a trial in which two people are telling completely opposite stories. I honestly don’t see/hear many people believing Amber in this whole thing. The conversation where she laughed and mocked him after she told him "suck my d***" was the most disturbing in the whole trial. He sounded crushed at one point and her hatred and distain is obvious. There are a lot if disturbing audio recordings but that one really got to me. I found myself holding my breath 😢

I had the same experience with what I believe was a covert narcissist.. it was horrible, constant and never ending negativity. You can hear her bait him into arguments and as soon as she gets the reaction she is looking for her attitude changes. It's important to remember that she knows the conversations are being recorded, JD doesn't, so he is 100% authentic where as Amber is playing to the recording. She gas lights and baits him constantly. I can hear his frustration when he tries to walk away and is tracked down to keep the argument going.
I had a relationship of 12 years with an abuser too. We never met outside the internet, she made excuses and never gave a phone number or address. More than 17500 hours together in 12 years, and she just abandoned me, I don't know if she is alive or not. I have no words to describe the pain I'm feeling. The only thing I feel for Johnny here is pure empathy and compassion. He obviously has a lot of childhood trauma - and subsequent trauma that she has inflicted and is inflicting now. I truly hope he gets the help he so deserves. She’s an awful human being, and I’m so sorry for him that he had to endure this, and then also have it where the world would see it just to clear his name.
She said in her recent interview that these clips were only small talk compared to the hour long talks that they were “exert” from which “would” prove she’s not guilty. If you listen to the tapes in full, they don’t prove her innocence. They prove Dr. Curry right and just shows how manipulative AH is.

The way she talks (not even talks but screams and yells) on these recordings confirms that she was the one being an abuser. She doesn’t show any kind of respect to him, nor is she scared to talk in this way and provoke a “violence”.
Notice how all her recordings she talks over him when he's about to say what she's done wrong? She doesn't want the recordings to pick up what he's saying she's done. She raises her voice and screams at him. Neither are perfect, but what she's done is worse. She's not just physically abusive, but emotionally and mentally. She's also very deceitful in all that she's done with these recordings. Trying to make herself look like a victim when really she's the abuser and he's the victim. She has brought him to do a level of depression and pure pain.
Depp speaks in the same tone on the tapes as he does under trial questioning, which proves he is genuine.

I think sure acts differently when the recorder is on .... as most of us do. This is her narrated version for the tapes. The nasty at is worse is not recorded, I am quite certain. Even when trying to act natural when the recorder is on, it's really hard to not measure what you say more carefully.

I found several things interesting about these recordings. At 28:23 JD makes a comment about AH having “Borderline Personality Disorder” which is exactly what Dr. Shannon Curry diagnosed her with after evaluating her for the trial. This means she has had this diagnosis before, how interesting. I also find it interesting that during most of these recordings JD sounds totally coherent, he’s not slurring his speech but according to AH he stayed drunk all the time.
She literally is the one yelling in all of these when she claimed she always tried to calmly talk it out. She then continued to yell at him and force him to answer her questions to what she wants to hear and when he even remotely started to speak a bit faster she changed her tone of voice so quick to “calm down, calm down” almost as if she doesn’t want him to defend himself but to instead let herself have control of the argument to make it seem like he’s over reacting

I've worked with DV victims. Women and children that had to hide in shelters. Women that raised there voice would get damage done that make up could never cover, or worse would need medical attention. It's difficult to listen to these 2 ppl that are in fancy hotels all over the world, with tons of friends, and they are so unhappy.

The hateful tone in her voice says it all. When you truly love someone, the last thing you do is what she did. Even when 32 years of marriage to my abusive ex, I begged him to get help, I would go and as long as he would go I had hope. He was a sociopath. A abusive narcissist. They never do anything wrong. The stimulants heard took, ironically, only stimulated and intensified all 3 of her personality disorders. Narcissistic, borderline, and histrionic personality disorders. The stimulants kept her mind from finding any sort of rational thinking, common sense, or judgement. More so than she already struggles with naturally.
