i found this in comments for a "HIGHER THAN HOPES" song "This song is a tribute to Marc Brueland, a good friend of Nightwish Keyboard player and the songwriter Tuomas Holopainen, who died of cancer. Tuomas said that the first line of the chorus was taken from Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers, when Legolas says something along the lines of, "The red sun rises. Blood has been spilt this night." The second line of the chorus was a brief but accurate description of what Tuomas heard on the phone as he heard Marc drift off ("Drown without inhaling"). In addition, the other vocals in this song are that of the deceased, Marc Brueland.
This was my first Nightwish concert! My brother bought tickets to the festival for my birthday! I had started listening to Nightwish in 2002, and they were actually going to be playing in the US a couple days after my birthday!
Well I find it finally, this man of the video is Mark,Tuomas friend who dye after and Tuomas wrote a song for him Higher than hopes and we listen his voice in the song but he dye 25/10/2003 before the Once album . In this concert Tuomas play walking in the air for him because of this song they met and became friends, Marc came from San Diego to meet him. Thank you metallwish for uploading this video song from Atlanta prog power concert . This video 😍 have a great story,sad but great and I had few hopes to find it and finally i found yours . Thank you very much for telling the story about this video, which I found by chance in one of my endless searches for material on the web, the video was on the old site of Progpower Usa, if I remember correctly the site was from 2005, and there he was alone, in a hidden and old audiovisual media folder.

Mark was in bad healthy that day and he didn't wanted to go at first he prefers to stay in the hotel but at the end find the courage to go. It's a very emotional moment 😢 that day for both and for me to listen and see Mark alive before his death. This is the reason who i was happy to find.It said a lot to me. And I think that the song Higher than hopes they play it only in America in front of mark parents presents and ones in Finland for the same reason but I am not so sure about that. Have you another video from this concert?
Beautiful song. She and Nightwish were brilliant together with the musicians and their skills, Tuomas and his composing etc, and Tarja with her beautiful once in a lifetime and ever improving voice. Who knows what more beauties they could have created. Sadly they treated Tarja very badly Tuomas in particular and sacked her.

I don't think she had become that. It was their excuse. they never respect or had considered her. I watched a lot of testimony from people close to the band saying that evertyhing was led by jealousy and a unrequited love. Have you read Marcelo's replies from fans questions when she got fired? there was once she got very sick the day before the show and they left her all alone and went partying instead of supporting her. you can see that being mentioned on end of an era dvd

Doesn't matter that everybody who has worked with Tarja later has said that she is respectfull and humble (Floor including) that there's still people 15 years later that believe that coward open letter...

En caso que el estilo de la banda no te guste, Nightwish es una excelente banda con un sonido sin igual.
