  • Dear Princess Luna,
inspired by "The Wonderful Adventures of Nils" (technically an anime!) based on the lovely book by Selma Lagerlöf, my 2nd most favourite childhood series after Franklin the Turtle, I thought that Nils Holgersson should also come back for the wild geese, just like I did for Franklin, so I tried playing the three songs that I thought would most likely summon him.
He needs to come back not just for the wild geese but also the bees (and all the flowers that rely on them), polar bears, mosquitos (yes, there are potentially scientific ways to prevent them from spreading certain conditions, without affecting the ecosystems that rely on mosquitos' existence), wasps, moths as well as even just your friendly house spider and silverfish. Likewise for plants. Let’s start writing reality first so we have material for the fanreality books of Nils' new adventures.
    Your faithful student,

Spoiler hint for the following paragraphs of references consciously (some only after the fact) intended by the artist and the artist's own personal interpretation (personal recommendation: trying to guess references oneself first; I personally like to even gradually slowly uncover letters of spoilers like individual dots of Braille writing to keep the guessing game continuous and exciting if I fully guessed something and to leave room open for more alternative interpretations of my own, given that in art, I find that all interpretations are subjecive and thus valid):
Clear references to my Lesson Zero of Lesson Zeroes the video description of which will explain a lot of things so I don't need to repeat myself here, also explains why the title says Nils "Also" Returns: • Bittersweet Theme + Th...
The pictures were taken by me in Germany:
+ 1st one is from the rosarium in Hattersheim am Main-Okriftel, taken on 12018.09.24.
+ 2nd one is looking over Schlangenbad ("spa of snakes") from one of its main bus stations from 12018.09.30. A spa of snakes can be really cute, I wish to be able to care for an adorable snake or two one day myself.
+ 3rd one is overlooking castle Reichenstein from the other side of the Rhein river from 12020.08.09.
+ 4th one is overlooking the Edersee from Waldeck from 12020.08.22.
+ 5th one is from near Eltville-Hattenheim en route from Schlangenbad from 12019.10.26.
The first song covered is (DE:) "Der Schillernde Regenbogen (Endtitellied Variation)" [EN = "The Shimmering Rainbow (End Title Song Variation)"] from the soundtrack of the Nils Holgersson anime, the original having been composed by Karel Svoboda, a Czech composer from Prague. He's also composed the second one I covered from 1:06, (DE:) "Erinnerungen an Zuhause" (EN = "Memories of home").
He's also written the song the "Biene (Bee) Maja". Whenever I was in Holiday Park, Maya the bee always has birthday. That, together with our friends' suggestion of it, makes us celebrate our (Re)birthday every day. Rest In Peace and Beyond Infinite Happy Birthdays You Legends, Selma Lagerlöf and Karel Svoboda.
The ending was intentionally left as it was. I wanted to continue covering Heimweh (EN = "Homesickness") but I couldn't remember the start of it at the time, then decided to leave in that humane imperfection (thus in a way perfection as a result) of having searched for the note and not having found it, because that's also the honest part of the Git version control system history of creating music without squash commits (IT references).
Whenever people ask me how to play music better, I just tell them to pick a melody they like and to try to have fun with it, then I try to accomodate them with my play. Learning and playing music or learning anything can be so fascinatingly fun if properly adapted to someone's current skill level and being offered the patience, time and just enough guidance for the other person to figure out connections themselves and to find their own style and interpretations!
The recording of the covers took place on 12024.05.30, Tender day. The video was put together in Shotcut and published on 12024.06.02, Sun day.
Thank you everyone for listening, watching and reading!
    HOPE
    L. "Nils Blue Silverfish SpiderGween Holgersson" the Otter
