I've heard a lot of kids say they want to win this or that for themselves but I've never heard a kid say he wants to mean something to the sport. That says a lot about ones character.
What a cool 14 year old! I wish that I was that cool, and I'm an old guy. I think that we'll be seeing him in the pro ranks. Btw, I love the look of the State of Ethos stuff!
This is a very mature and down to earth kid already on the way to be pro best thing is he wants to go have fun not just about winning and bringing the sport to how it was in the 90s! He’s got my vote!
Great style on the bike physically, but I really dig his minimal simple style kit both bike and gear. I have always thought moto in every way was too bright and flashy with everything lol.
Kelana you seem like u have a great respectfull humble attitude obviously keep practicing hard and getting faster but stay humble a real champion doesn't brag about what he's done but is humble and thankful for the talents that God gave him and the people that helped him accomplish his goals
His GAS GAS is super nasty, I always loved those FMF pipes with a plate, never personally had one, seems like a super cool young man. Good luck in the future sure everyone’s gonna be seeing you around
I'm sure he'll be a pro racer, but I have a feeling he'll be a pro Freerider after a couple years of racing..Especially hanging out with Tyler Bereman to teach him the ropes both on the bike and marketing himself and making dope fun content that makes you wanna go ride..it's cool it's going back to the grass roots of riding even before freestyle was a thing and being able to get sponsors like redbull and even manufacturer support to make a living (better than top privateers racing) by just having fun on your bike with your friends that are just as sick as you on a bike, hitting different contests/demos/events that YOU think is sick and would be fun, not what you have to go do...and its without all the intense training and dieting that's required to be even a privateer professional racer. Just racing A class in the past in local motocross races, arenacross, and AA in different woods disciplines it took a lot of effort both on and off the bike to maintain the fitness required and that's nothing like these pros... Even for me it got boring busting out lap after lap on the same tracks multiple times a week.. I love spotting different lines play riding on a track, riding in the hills, or just going out ripping tight rocky single track, making a living that way would be a dream for any rider and for some its becoming more of a reality and an obtainable goal. I know he said he wants to race and do freeriding at the same time, but unless the industry changes even more and those teams realize the benefits of making those freeriding videos, even satellite teams won't let him do that... it's not worth the risk on their investment. TP199 said he kept getting a factory Suzuki contract up until 2006 (maybe 08) long after his last real go at racing in 2003, they basically signed him to just be himself and do what he wanted... of course travis is the rare exception, his fame far out reaches racing and anything dirtvike related, he's the most household name of anyone in our industry. He was the best FMX rider to ever do it, a hell of a racer when healthy, and no matter what he does on a bike, cars, or where he goes, he's competitive and has a huge crowd around him at all times.. .his sponsors loved that, but I haven't seen support like that or atleast to that extent, before or since Travis.. good luck to the kid, he's rad on a bike with a great personality.
You are spot on kid, motorbikes are kind of like school, you either take interest in a subject or not. You can be a bike mathematician in your future if you put your fitness and mindset rite. The feeling you get is a different kind of love than any emotional love. Abit like a dog that lives forever I guess, he gets smarter everytime u put fuel in his tank. You have a good vibe about you. If dungey is your hero than you have a big future ahead of you. I hope Ryan dungey meets u one day, him and tomac are the best in the world and I hope they give you some tips one day. Good luck kid you are all over it.
He's really good, reminded me of Deegan boy but wow 👏 am impressed on how first he was ripping. Shout out to that boy who was eating He's roost cos he kept on pushing too. Good luck next time. Almost made it look like GasGas is better than KTM 😏
@@nikolasgibson3438 If and when he becomes a full time contracted racer, the free riding and BMX is over. There have been tons of riders like him that have just not made it.. Hanny, Hill brothers, Pastrana just to name a few.. and although Roczen is hugely successful, he has struggled with the "fun" aspect in his life because of moto. This free spirit type people are beautiful human beings, I'm absolutely not knocking the kid or trying to detour anyone... it just doesn't go hand in hand with today's moto successful riders... just my opinion I guess.
@@japslapr I think Pastrana and the Hill brothers definitely "made it." Sure Kelana might not be a factory racer winning championships but he's on track to hit pro ranks and have some fun racing while maintaining status in FMX. Not all racers are on such intense contracts, in fact, only the best of the best are.
@@nikolasgibson3438 this kid will be a social media freerider at best. Kid is already 14 and not very good, legit kids like Deegan are already getting factory rides at 16. Kelana will be used as a marketing tool for sponsors thats it.
If you want to be great at mx/sx it needs to be your only focus. Trying to mix it up with other sports just doesn't work. Ask Pastrana I'm sure he would agree.
Depends on what your goal is. If your want to race at that level and aren't too concerned with getting a factory ride or winning a title then sure, he can do both. Just qualifying for a SX, on any level, is a huge accomplishment. Also, just because Pastrana wasn't able to do it doesn't mean that the next kid can.
I've heard a lot of kids say they want to win this or that for themselves but I've never heard a kid say he wants to mean something to the sport. That says a lot about ones character.
Great interview. The marketing potential with this kid is HUGE.

Seriously
He’s got a whole fan club
What a bright, well spoken kid. Good luck buddy.

Great parents! This little dude is put together way better than most 14 year old kids out there.
Very well spoken kid. Was pleasantly surprised by this interview. Hope he has a lot of success.
Love how this guy rides. He keeps the bike low over the jumps and gains so much speed that way. This is your next superstar.
just the way this dude presents him self, its so good amazing parents I can tell :)
Excellent!! The best interviews and features!

Hell yeah Kelana, you already mean something to the sport. Youngest db rider to put on that helmet. So dope. Keep it up 🤙🏻
Cooper Webb had one at 14, but it is rad nonetheless
This kids already a pro. At life. I hope he goes far .

Really exciting career ahead!
Good luck reaching your dreams. Dream big? Red Bull athlete. Great start. Cool; Swap Moto.
Fantastic attitude and personality greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪
Right on! Got some parts for this guy on my bench. Posting today so he can have a fresh tuned setup for next week
Awesome way to be . Bring it back..

That GasGas 125 looks soo sick !!
pretty sure thats a super mini
Definitely not a 125 😆 that's a 112 big wheel supermini
@@dylanlevy2107 Whats that? I rode a 85cc when I was a kid, have they started making 112 instead of 85 nowadays?

Look pretty fast 💪🏻💪🏻
Indonesia (+62) . Teruskan kelana 🤘

Damn I had no idea he lived in Huntington. I’ve lived here my whole life
Legend
Kids going places. Keep ripping bud
Kelana will go pro
Twitchmecula i like the future with cats like this kid .
Dude , Tyler B is really good people,
sick bike
Charisma is there
Even though he’s not like the fastest in the world he’s seems to be naturally good at marketing so I can see why RedBull would sponsor him
is that 125 or 85 becous im thinking buying gas gas
Was that slacks pants he was wearing?
Dose anyone other than dirt bikers live in Temecula?

I don’t want to hear a single deegan comment plz
You can hear comments ?
In Illinois this is A class lol
💯💯💯
Unfortunately, the sport doesn't tend to gel well with this kids type of vibe. Super cool kid tho.
Can you explain a bit? I'm just curious about what to avoid.
He’s already got a lot of attention and support from the industry. As long as he keeps healthy he will have a great career.

Shimoda is japanese, you sound racist.
getting barreled and hitting doubles
