Hi Maaike for the last few years I have been searching for a foundation I really love and it hasn't been easy lol. I have extremely dry skin with both rosacea and eczema, plus I'm 50 with all the issues that affect aging skin - it's compounded by the fact I'm super pale/cool toned (a few shades paler than yourself going by your matches). The shade of the Dior forever glow in 00N and the Sephora best skin ever in shade 03P are both perfection, but both formulations look horrible on me as they're far too drying. The Mac F&B in C1 has been my most used foundation of the year, but the shade isn't 100% right although I can make it work for sure. It never looks dry/cakey, but it doesn't have quite enough coverage when my redness is more prominent and for a more perfected evening/event look. The Lancome teint idole I wore during the constant mask wearing in shade 008/091. The shade isn't perfect although it's ok, but I have to prep really well for this one to look good all day (it's a bit drying). The Korean bb creams in shade #13 need some white mixer, but they're decent for an everyday option. I LOVE the formula of the GA luminous silk and it sits beautifully on my skin, but the shades are a disaster for me. I bought it anyway and mix it with both a white and blue mixer to get a good shade match, as it does look pretty on my skin when I have the right shade mixed. Truthfully by this point and the numerous attempts to find something, I just gave up and decided to mix my shade (even in such a high end foundation - which isn't ideal). I do use a green corrector on the really red bits underneath most of these btw. When I was younger I rarely wore foundation - I had good skin and didn't really need it. I wore tinted moisturiser mostly (the Bobbi Brown alabaster extra repair skin tint balm usually) and I had a custom mixed foundation from prescriptives - I miss having that service available so much, as it made things so much easier. The things that everyone else seems to love don't always look good on my super dry skin and it can be difficult to get samples of the less widely available things that might work. For right now I have a few things I can use - ok some of them need mixed to work, but I make them work. I still want a foundation that sits beautifully on my skin and doesn't need the shade mixed etc, or whatever other mixture to make it work for me. Next year I might try the LE or the Wayne Goss perhaps. Best wishes.
@@FloatinginDreams Yes Prescriptives was a brand who would mix your perfect shade into any of their base formulations on counter. I used to go to Glasgow once a year or so to get it done. They had pre mixed shades too, but you could get an exact mix done. It cost a bit more than their pre mixed shades, but in an era without the 40 shades premixed (we get now from some brands) it was the only way to go for those who weren't a standard shade. It was a pretty good base formulation and for me was well worth the money. They went out of business quite a few years ago, but they were popular for a long time. x
Thanks for the recommendations Maaike! Lisa's foundation is my holy grail, I'm nr. 2 in her shade range and it's a perfect match. Interesting thing about the sample cards, I had the same experience with the first one, all 4 shades looked horrible on me, but when I got the full size product, it was gorgeous. I've recently bought another card w the 4 lightest shades and it worked beautifully so maybe there was a problem with the lightest set when they first came out? Either way, it's true that if the shade isn't a match, it will look doubly off on the face (have ~25 years of experience to prove it 😁).
Who knows?! There seem to have been issues with certain launches for the brand. Those blushes dried out super quickly for people and they haven't been back since they first sold out.
Hi skin sister :) I am also #5 on Leldridge foundation. Recently I discovered the Bobbi Brown foundation stick (#N10) and I am really loving it. Easy and fast to apply, good color match, and almost undetectable on the skin. Also last well and ages well during the day. (FYI I use primer.) I feel that Lisa's foundation can dry my skin after some consecutive days applying it. The Bobbi Brown is a bit more emollient. Did you ever try it?
It's been years since I tried Bobbi Brown. But I did try their foundation stick and decluttered it because it was too yellow for me. That's why I haven't tried them in a while: the entire range skews warm toned.
@@FloatinginDreams Sorry to hear that :( I really like the formula and how easy it is to apply. The color is also a good match for me . (#10N Porcelaine) I guess I have more yellow undertones that you or they did expand the range.
You might like Sephora best skin ever I have never had a better match I'm 11.5 p which just means for light skin with pink undertones ,not gonna lie pink undertones usually freak me out but sephora just got it right plus it's a medium natural coverage that lasts all day, can't recommend enough
That lipstick looks stunning on you!
Thank you!
I am excited to see some great drugstore options. I spend so much on foundation that I’d love a more affordable brand that I can love.
There are already a few in this video but yes, dedicated drugstore video coming up.
Hema also is available in Luxemburg. There is one located close to the station in Luxemburg city.
That's good to know! Haven't been to Luxembourg in a while.
Would have be helpful to swatch them
There are links in the description box with reviews that show the product on my face as well as swatches.

I love k beauty and would be very interested in seeing your reviews of all categories. I too have mature dry skin.
I have several K-beauty videos up if you're interested.
Have you tried house labs foundation? I’ve heard good things about it and it sounds like they have good ingredients.
House labs has an actual white one. I've heard it is very useful
I love Haus labs
Haus Labs is not sold in the EU (as in, at all, not even at Sephora).

I'm about a .5-1 shade lighter than you and I assumed the purito would be too dark.
I loved the Purito shade!
