I am an original 'flower child' of the late 60's. We used to intentionally buy our bell bottom jeans too long so that we could come home, cut the hem off the bottom and sit for hours fraying the bottoms. And if we walked on them cuz they were still too long...even better !!! With the wide legs and bell bottoms having come back, I'm sooooo tempted.
Me too born in 54 had high and wide jeans on this passed weekend and went to reunion my husband would go to every year just guys go but they been asking me to come and apparently the jeans stood outbut nolonger want them all frayed ! But funny that a man noticed ! Greatful they welcome me and share stories about Joe theses guys all went high school together and gather same time every year now we're are all in 70s me in September ! Make me feel so welcome small town what can I say !
I love bell bottoms & flares. Still have many flare jeans from late 90s, early 2000s. I knew they would come back or hoped they would. I still fit in them which is crazy.
Now I would trip on them!!😂

My recent acquisitions, such as the Women's Utility Field Jacket and Women's Relaxed Fit Trench Rain Coat from A New Day, I’m loving them both. I never buy shoes there as I have to wear good shoes and tennis shoes, boots etc. Your enthusiasm is valued ❤

I found the "Glow" facial cleanser and b-Pure blur face primer! Both of them feel like butter going on my face. And when I use the b-Pure blur primer it makes my face feel smooth as butter all day long! My DT are greatly lacking EVERYTHING so I was floored when I found these two items. I wouldn't have known about them if it weren't for you. Thanks :D

I'm a Walmart shopper too. I haven't been in a Target store in couple years. Cutting holes in pants was popular in the 60s.
I remember those days. I also used to bleach my 501s to get a tie dye look

Love the clothes you and Mikah got. I also don’t shop at Target very often because I feel they are expensive but I love their clothes for me and my boys. I just bought a cute dress shirt from target but I got it at my local bargain bins store. They are always getting things from target. I’m not sure if Dallas has one but check it out.
Target is actually cheaper than Walmart on SO many things, especially if you have the Red Card and the app!

I got the same cardigan Micah got in black I picked up elf too I purchased 2 colors of the liquid blush, and elf lip gloss ( the ones with the applicator) If you like peachy colors, you would like the color luminoso by elf, I have the blush and lip gloss and have worn luminoso forever lol we were shopping at target in the same week. 😂😂

When I was pregnant with youngest daughter Thanksgiving 1974, we went shopping at a "nice" department store, downtown Kerrville. They had a rack of more than slightly distressed high-end jeans. I believe they were in the neighborhood of $30. We could NOT believe this store would be selling "old"-looking merchandise. That was 50 years ago!

Walmart, Target and Elf Cosmetics have the exact same price for those lip items. $8 and $4.
I’m the same way. Target is to expensive for me. Even though I’m doing fine with money and I can afford to over pay. I just can not and will never be able to over pay for something I can literally get for a lot cheaper. I didn’t get this way from over paying for things all the time..
Walmart has stepped up with their clothes. Like a lot. They seem to get better and better every year.
Now when it comes to swim suits.. (when I use to wear a bikini 😂) I loved targets. They were more $$$ of course but the style and quality was always better from the strings to tie to the pads in them, they were just better.
They do have cute clothes. So if you can manage to find them when their in Clarence that’s wonderful but a lot of it is just to much, sadly.

If we had holes in our pants in the 70s, it's because we wore a hole into them . In the 80s we started cutting holes and destroying the pants

I can't stand Wal-Mart. Sorry. The one nearest me is FILTHY, , flies in the Deli case, , the customers really look like those funny movies, never enough help and you don't even WANT to ask a question.! Parking lot filthy, full of pot holes. ANYWAY, I don't shop Target alot, but I really like their Universal Thread brand. Esp. for winter socks, sweaters. I think they have good prices on their bks. Does Micah buy bks. there? They have a good $ section. Really cute things. I think their cosmetic prices are good. Would love to see more Target hauls. Enjoyed this, thanks 😊
That is sad, I live near 2 Walmarts, and one is brand new and the older one now has been revamped to the 9's. Hopefully yours will done up . Depends on what state I think as well.
If we would’ve worn torn jeans in the 70’s we would’ve been perceived as poor. No one wore them then. There were cute patches to use if by chance we got a hole.

Target quality is waaaay better than Walmart. A basic t-shirt from Walmart will fall apart or fade after just a few washes and if it doesn’t it’s probably made out of synthetic materials 🤮
Walmart has some great pieces and for different budgets.
Depends on what you buy. I've had a couple long sleeve cotton shirts I bought on clearance almost 20 yrs ago & still in good shape. Yes, I keep clothes forever if I like them.
