Hi Jemima, Im Jamie. I live in England, but for ten years i lived on Glebe Point road at 401 (lovely massive house with wrap-around balcony on the way down towards the water), i know that suburb like the back of my hand and watching this is making me sooo sentimental!!! Ive probably passed you in the street several times over the years. I had to leave because my job closed due to the lockdown, and at the same time my dad became quite sick back here in the UK and i hadnt seen my fam in several years so i came back to be with them. I love glebe so much and id live back there in a heartbeat. I used to ride my bike around the path by the water in blackwattle bay everyday while my dog ran alongside me. She used to love that, and id throw a stick into the water and she'd swim out and get it over and over. Also, you will remember when Harold Park horseracing track got demolished and all those appartments got built? (1200 appartments), Well, i worked on that project for 4 years which was brilliant as i lived just around the corner. Id ride through the park to work and get swooped by the magpie in the park next to the kindergarten, that magpie is ruthless!! You mentioned Timbah in the video, i used to do shifts there sometimes to help out and tim is a good friend of mine. I wish i hadnt looked up Glebe on RUclips now, coz watching this is making me miss it so much! Anyways, thanks for the cool video. Byee.
Great video Jemima! Really appreciate the content you've put out about Sydney as I'm planning to move there from the UK! It's hard to find good Sydney videos, so thanks! Keep it up!
we used to live in harold park when we were students at Sydney uni. glebe point rd was our favourite walking street. thanks you for the video, you brought so much memories 🥹 we are really missing Australia
If you ever need the police and fire department in Glebe lol they'll literally be at the Glebe Bakery getting the bun me rolls lol. Tom Yum Tom Gang is really popular too and often gets a big crowd of dinners everyday.
Jemima, you didn’t mention Bruce Tea & Coffee, their coffee is pretty, single origin and blends. It’s a small place but close to the water so you can go for a long walk down at blackwattle bay
