HEALTH MINISTER AIMS TO REMEDY LACK OF HOSPITAL BED AVAILABILITY

MAJOR STRAIN [19TH JUNE 2024] - St. Lucia's major hospitals are currently under significant strain as bed occupancy rates have reached unprecedented highs, resulting in a critical shortage of available hospital beds. Minister for Health, Hon. Moses Jn Baptiste, has announced several initiatives in development aimed at addressing this urgent issue. The severe congestion at both St. Jude's Hospital and Owen King EU Hospital is a major concern, and the ministry of health is working diligently to implement solutions to alleviate the overcrowding and ensure that patients receive the necessary care.
