If want to build high hit combo, why leave out SR: Alpha? If you want high dmg per hit and avoid Over Limit, there are other combos instead of using Sword Rain artes.
As your last statement says, If you want a high combo count the sword rain artes are useful. It's a double-edged sword in some ways since it does cause the boss to over-limit easily.

Great guide! I'm a little ashamed to admit that I never actually knew about the Demon Fang guard break tech haha.
It's not exclusive to just Demon Fang, you can do it with Sword Rain too
