October 2010 they added new member Louis (real name Minho) and this year they released 'Honestly' and recently finished very brief promotions of Summer Love (Doogeun Doogeun) :)

TVXQ fan here and I didn't know about all the talk about this group and TVXQ. I came because I saw funny Jaewon on KBS World's K-Wave and searched for Code V. I think this song is quite nice and they sound good. Now I shall try other songs.
He was actually younger than Shinhwa, he isn't that much older than some of the other members but he just personally felt he was too old to be in the band. I think after being in the military he just wanted to settle down and live a normal life. He got a girlfriend not long after leaving Code-V and Minho who replaced him is the new maknae. They came back in 2010 as Code-V, promoted for a while in Korea and had a member change, then went to Japan, came back to Korea then moved to a japanese company and have been there since.
I heard the Korean first and i prefer it. There's something about the korean one being emotional and bittersweet which the Japanese version somewhat doesn't convey as strongly

They also didn't mention Jaewon as a member which is the rapper here. This group got great vocal talent, but all the fan girls all are interested in are good looks and great abs. This song is still amazing to me even after 8 years. I just recently found out that they were on I Can See Your Voice (in 2016... but that doesn't matter to me lol). Been looking for it since 2016-2018 when I've first heard it on a fanvid for the main couple of the Taiwanese drama Perfect Man but I lost that video and had no idea what the title was. I don't know if you saw/heard but Code-V released their Japanese debut with an english cover of Jason Mraz's 'I'm Yours' It's really sweet and they have amazing pronunciation. Partly because 2 of the members speak British English though I suspect there's another member who speaks american english

He used to be their leader. 01:05 is Sol who is said to look like JYJ's Jaejoong. 01:23 is Jaewon the group's rapper. There is a new member called Minho and his stage name is Louis but he joined in october 2010 just after this song. Sangwoo and Jaewon both speak British English and Sol speaks Chinese :)

He's 22 years old and speaks 2 languages fluently and basic japanese. Code-V said they respect TVXQ very much but want to show japanese fans their own colours and differences. They never once said they want to surpass TVXQ. They were really misquoted and I hope in future you will be kind to them
@miche1peach Code-V can sing acapella.. They've done a lot of songs in acapella and compared to most groups, their harmonies are flawless. Most of the songs they've covered are English and that's a strong point for Code-V. 2 Members studied in London and all 5 (and the ex member) have really good english pronunciation. Code-V were really misquoted too. They didn't say they wanted to surpass DBSK, they said they want to show japanese fans that they are different to TVXQ.

The interviewer kept asking questions and comparing the two groups so Code-V said 'We respect TVXQ but we want to show (our japanese) fans our own colours and that we are not an imitation of them' Code V are very worth tracking so please look kindly on them in future

I don't know if you saw/heard but Code-V released their Japanese debut with an english cover of Jason Mraz's 'I'm Yours' It's really sweet and they have amazing pronunciation. Partly because 2 of the members speak British English though I suspect there's another member who speaks american english

00:17 is Sangwoo who is the new leader of Code-V. 00:32 is Naro (Sometimes spelt Nalaw) 00:47 is Taemin who left the group after promoting this song. He used to be their leader. 01:05 is Sol who is said to look like JYJ's Jaejoong. 01:23 is Jaewon the group's rapper. There is a new member called Minho and his stage name is Louis but he joined in october 2010 just after this song. Sangwoo and Jaewon both speak British English and Sol speaks Chinese :)

@juliephaam Code-V released an album in June called Honestly and have been promoting their new song by the same title from time to time on music shows. They promote more in Japan then in Korea although Jaewon recently went back to London (where he grew up) and has been doing a few other activities like appearing in Mina's ToyBoy MV and a few english music shows

@jstcallmeunish Please don't be so quick to judge Code-V as they are a very humble group. One member contacted an English fan to thank her for supporting them and co-owns a shop which he helps run. He's 22 years old and speaks 2 languages fluently and basic japanese. Code-V said they respect TVXQ very much but want to show japanese fans their own colours and differences. They never once said they want to surpass TVXQ. They were really misquoted and I hope in future you will be kind to them
@miche1peach Code-V can sing acapella.. They've done a lot of songs in acapella and compared to most groups, their harmonies are flawless. Most of the songs they've covered are English and that's a strong point for Code-V. 2 Members studied in London and all 5 (and the ex member) have really good english pronunciation. Code-V were really misquoted too. They didn't say they wanted to surpass DBSK, they said they want to show japanese fans that they are different to TVXQ.
