A place where clients can find any business in The Gambia and have access to contact them directly including all the details about the business, what they sell, contact details, and location including Google Maps direction integration. This will eliminate the hassles you face with middlemen having a chance of overcharging and taking a cut off your hard-earned money.

The Gambia Government has to prioritise CIVIC EDUCATION for its population and facilitate the proper disposal of waste for them.
It is obvious that people are finding it difficult to get rid of their domestic waste due to the costs involved, but are also because of lack of awareness of environmental sanitation.
Targeted civic education on waste disposal and environmental sanitation will help the population to change their behaviour when it comes to waste disposal and will ensure a clean and habitable environment.

There must be tons of rubbish removed from the drainage system . I’ve often wondered why the government allow the build up of sand at the edges of the roads and don’t invest in a couple of road sweepers that keep the edges of the roads clear of sand . Here we have large sweepers that clean the edges of the main roads and smaller sweepers that go around the roads where peoples homes are and shopping centres.. it’s a great job they are doing removing the rubbish, it will stop flooding but as you said the sand at the kerbside needs removed also or it will wash down the drain and block it up again . Interesting video but important for people to see they clean the drains trying to stop flooding 👍 Take care and stay safe.

KMC should be punishing the businesses along the road. Most of them dump their garbage in the gutters.

@@NiceGambia The authorities should enforce anti littering laws and put an end to indiscriminate dumping of garbage in the streets and water ways.

I wonder how long it will be before the excavated rubbish is removed. Most of the population need educating starting with the children at school. I have had so many arguments with Gambians when I see them throw rubbish on the street. I ask them do you like your country and they reply yes. My response is "then why do you treat it like a rubbish dump?" Silence is the response. The Gambia should follow Rwanda which has become one of the cleanest countries in the world thanks to new laws requiring every citizen to pick up litter. President Paul Kagame decreed one morning each month in the capital city of Kigali and around the countryside, to be a public clean-up day. The last Saturday of every month, dignitaries, even the president and his cabinet, participate in the litter collection. Additionally, plastic polythene bags are banned in Rwanda, which cuts down the trash. And, in Kigali, littering anywhere is a crime.
