The Juventus stadium is located in the italian city of Turin. Since July 2017 it is officially called Allianz Stadium due to a name sponsorship.
The stadium was opened in 2011 and is owned by soccer record champion Juventus Turin. It was built on the same spot where the Stadio delle Alpi had previously been. In this context, there was some criticism of the new building plans, since the new stadium reduced the spectator capacity from 69,000 to 41,000 seats.
What is particularly striking about the new stadium architecture are the two distinctive 86 meter high pillars that carry the roof structure with steel cables.
