Fixing a Loose Bongo Stand

This is the first installment of a hopefully long-running series of quick, easy repairs to fix mild annoyances in the percussion world.
This is a bongo stand that was very slippy, and didn't hold these gorgeous 1960s RoyalStar (now Tama) bongos in place. I fixed them with rubber adhesive pads and contact cement.
Filmed just with my phone, with minimal editing, these are fun little videos I hope entertain and inform in a nice, easy to digest format :).

Would never use those bongos for I started on De Rosa bongos that hurt my hands when got advanced so turned them into my local Deseret Industries thrift store for someone else that would enjoy. Then moved up to LP Aspire bongos & enjoyed alot more with comfort rims then got advanced & a professional bongo drummer so now play on LP Giovanni galaxy bongos love them the best bongos out there! Those are nice vintage bongos for someone into them! Nice stand for them too! I use a cat scratch post with a white cuting board so I can sit on the couch & play & that works great for me! Anything to save money!

Or get a better stand that holds them betters.

Thanks for the comment! But unfortunately these stands can be very pricey, and some people simply don't have the option to buy a new stand, or afford a main-brand name stand when they can get a cheaper stand and do 15-minutes of work to it and get it to do the same thing as a more expensive stand. This also may not work for vintage bongos as the specs can vary wildly, so sometimes even then some modification may be needed.
